After Amaziah king of Judah consulted his advisers, he sent this challenge to Jehoash [Hebrew Joash, a variant of Jehoash; also in verses 18, 21, 23 and 25] son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel: “Come, meet me face to face.”
