Você gosta de dar risadas? Então você irá gostar de ler hoje sobre um grande personagem bíblico chamado Isaque. A palavra Isaque significa “riso”, “risada”.
Isaque foi o único filho de Abraão e Sara. Dos três patriarcas, ele foi o que viveu mais tempo. Foi circuncidado com oito dias de vida, ganhou uma festa por ter desmamado quando tinha aproximadamente três anos de idade.
Quando Isaque estava com 40 anos, ganhou Rebeca, como esposa. Quando seu pai morreu e foi sepultado, ele fixou residência em Beer-Laai-Roi. Ali ele teve dois filhos: Esaú e Jacó. Mas depois disso, por motivo de uma crise financeira na região, eles mudaram-se para Gerar: lugar onde Isaque enganou o rei filisteu, mentindo sobre Rebeca.
Após ter passado algum tempo na terra dos filisteus, Isaque voltou para Berseba, onde Deus lhe confirmou as bênçãos do concerto e onde Abimeleque fez um concerto de paz com ele.
Um dos eventos mais importantes da vida de Isaque foi quando ele abençoou os seus filhos, pouco antes de morrer. Sua morte foi na cidade de Manre, com 180 anos, e foi sepultado na cova de Macpela.
No Novo Testamento, há várias referências a Isaque: a) Quase foi oferecido em sacrifício pelo seu pai; b) Abençoou os filhos; c) Foi o filho da promessa; d) Era diferente do seu irmão Ismael (Hebreus 11:17-18; Tiago 2:21 Romanos 9:7, 10; Gálatas 4:28).
A enciclopédia bíblica “Mundo Bíblico” faz o seguinte comentário sobre ele: “em dado momento, a imagem do seu pai em devoção simples e pureza de vida é contrastada na sua fraqueza passiva de caráter que, em parte, pelo menos, poderá ter surgido das suas relações com a sua mãe e com a sua mulher. Após a expulsão de Ismael e Agar, Isaque passou a não ter adversários e cresceu na sombra da tenda de Sara, moldado por uma suavidade feminina, através de uma submissão habitual à sua forte e terna vontade.”
A sua vida era tão calma e rotineira, que não ultrapassava uma área de poucos quilômetros. Ele era tão sincero, que se deixou enganar por Jacó; tão terno, que a morte da sua mãe foi-lhe um sofrimento vivo durante vários anos, tão paciente e gentil, que a paz com os seus vizinhos lhe era mais cara que uma possessão tão cobiçada como um poço de água cavado pelos seus próprios homens
Isaque era imensamente obediente. Ele colocou sua vida à disposição do seu pai por confiar em Deus, pois a sua maior preocupação pela vida era honrar a promessa divina dada à sua raça. Era alguém que realmente sabia sorrir muito para a vida.
