David numbered the people who were with him, and set captains of thousands and captains of hundreds over them.

"David sent forth the people, a third part under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai the Gittite. The king said to the people, "I will surely go forth with you myself also."

"But the people said, "You shall not go forth; for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us. But you are worth ten thousand of us. Therefore now it is better that you are ready to help us out of the city."

JÓ 29-31
“Como é bom ser cristão, quando tudo está bem pro seu lado...” É assim que canta Luiz Cláudio. “Os amigos, sorrindo, lhe abraçam, e estão com você”, e por aí vai... “Mas se tudo se vai para sempre, inclusive os amigos, e a doença lhe aflige e a fama já não mais existe, é mais fácil agora afastar-se de Deus, no momento de tanta aflição...” Por quê?
Antes de falar sobre o porquê, quero chamar sua atenção para ver a imagem, a estampa, o vídeo do áudio dessa música que mencionei. Mas não é no youtube, nem na televisão, nem no computador. É na leitura bíblica de hoje! Só que tem uma variante. Quando Jó estava bem, era fácil servir a Deus. Quando ficou doente, pobre e sem amigos, servir a Deus ficou difícil até para sua mulher, que mandou ele amaldiçoá-Lo e morrer, e para seus amigos, que passaram a falar um tanto de heresias.
Em Jó 29, ele fala que sente muita saudade de quando ia à porta da cidade, se assentava na praça pública e quando os jovens e pessoas idosas iam passando e o viam, ficavam em pé, diante dele, de mão boca, em silêncio, só o ouvindo falar. Ser cristão nessas horas é uma maravilha. Mas, no capítulo 30, Jó diz: “Mas agora eles zombam de mim”. “Virei piadinha para eles.”
E o que fazer quando viramos piada? Se Jó se encaixasse no perfil de crente descrito na música do cantor Luiz Cláudio, ele teria concordado com as ideias malucas dos amigos e esposa. Mas isso não aconteceu. Na leitura de hoje, terminam as palavras de Jó e o mais fantástico é que ele continua firme e perseverante na sua fé. Então, pensando nisso, resolvi escrever um poema sobre sentir vergonha ou não daquilo que se crê. Posso compartilhá-lo com você?

Esse era o sentimento de Jó. Eu também penso assim. E você? O que tem feito com sua fé?
