When the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.

|Esdras 3:2|
Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brothers, and built the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.

"They set the altar on its base; for fear was on them because of the peoples of the countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon to Yahweh, even burnt offerings morning and evening."

"They kept the feast of tents, as it is written, and [offered] the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the ordinance, as the duty of every day required;"

and afterward the continual burnt offering, and [the offerings] of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of Yahweh that were consecrated, and of everyone who willingly offered a freewill offering to Yahweh.

From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings to Yahweh: but the foundation of the temple of Yahweh was not yet laid.

"They gave money also to the masons, and to the carpenters; and food, and drink, and oil, to them of Sidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia."

Now in the second year of their coming to the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who were come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have the oversight of the work of the house of Yahweh.

Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brothers, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to have the oversight of the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brothers the Levites.

When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Yahweh, they set the priests in their clothing with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise Yahweh, after the order of David king of Israel.

LIÇÕES DE COMUNHÃO

Quero repetir hoje algo que comentei ontem. Na verdade, é um conselho. Recomendei a você que lesse esses trechos da Bíblia onde trata acerca da construção do templo, do palácio e todos os detalhezinhos das obras de Salomão em uma versão bíblica bem moderna. Isso é importante porque há muitas medidas, pesos, detalhes, nomes de peças, nomes de partes da construção. Se você ler em uma versão que traga toda essa nomenclatura numa linguagem que não seja entendível, não terá um bom aproveitamento da leitura como poderia ter.
Temos a desvantagem de não ter acesso tão fácil aos textos originais e não sabermos falar grego e hebraico fluentemente, o que nos faz depender das traduções da Bíblia. No entanto, isso também é uma vantagem. Podemos ter várias versões para compará-las e assim, podermos ter uma visão melhor do assunto e entendê-lo melhor. Por exemplo: se a Bíblia tivesse sido escrita no Brasil há dez anos. É óbvio que teríamos apenas uma versão bíblica com, no máximo, alguma reedição com correções de digitação. Não teríamos tantas opções de versões para fazermos comparações. Afinal, ao lermos um texto bíblico nas mais diferentes versões e compará-las, crescerão nossa visão e compreensão sobre o assunto.
Mas tenho mais duas dicas que quero lhe dar para o seu momento de leitura bíblica. Elas vêm da leitura de hoje. Em primeiro lugar, dê uma olhada em 1Reis 7 e início do capítulo 8 sobre a importância que aquele povo dava para os utensílios e lugares sagrados. Esses objetos eram muito importantes para eles. Perceba como eles lidavam com as coisas sagradas. Embora sendo um simples objeto, se era parte da adoração, então era tratado de forma diferenciada, com um respeito que, na realidade, refletia o respeito que estava sendo dado a Deus. Depois que você ler e aprender sobre como era o trato para com os utensílios sagrados, pense: como você trata suas coisas sagradas? Com que tipo de respeito você manuseia sua Bíblia? Tem um lugar especial na sua casa para se encontrar com Deus? Isso está diretamente relacionado com o próprio respeito que você dá a Deus.
A segunda dica que quero lhe dar para o seu momento especial da sua leitura diária da Bíblia, seu momento especial com Deus, vem do final do capítulo 8 de 1 Reis. Ele tem a ver com o espírito da adoração. Leia a oração de Salomão com espírito de oração. Medite bem e tente “entrar no clima”. Quanta profundidade! Quanta santidade! Quanta intimidade com o sagrado! Que abrir de coração.
Quando se aproximar de Deus, pela leitura Bíblia, faça isso também em oração.
