Then there will be a place marked out by the Lord your God as the resting-place for his name, and there you will take all the things which I give you orders to take: your burned offerings and other offerings, and the tenth part of your goods, and the offerings to be lifted up, and the offerings of your oaths which you make to the Lord;

And you will be glad before the Lord your God, you and your sons and your daughters, and your men-servants and your women-servants, and the Levite who is with you in your house, because he has no part or heritage among you.

Take care that you do not make your burned offerings in any place you see:

But in the place marked out by the Lord in one of your tribes, there let your burned offerings be offered, and there do what I have given you orders to do.

Only you may put to death animals, such as the gazelle or the roe, for your food in any of your towns, at the desire of your soul, in keeping with the blessing of the Lord your God which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may take of it.

But you may not take the blood for food, it is to be drained out on the earth like water.

In your towns you are not to take as food the tenth part of your grain, or of your wine or your oil, or the first births of your herds or of your flocks, or anything offered under an oath, or freely offered to the Lord, or given as a lifted offering;

But they will be your food before the Lord your God in the place of his selection, where you may make a feast of them, with your son and your daughter, and your man-servant and your woman-servant, and the Levite who is living with you: and you will have joy before the Lord your God in everything to which you put your hand.

See that you do not give up caring for the Levite as long as you are living in your land.

When the Lord your God makes wide the limit of your land, as he has said, and you say, I will take flesh for my food, because you have a desire for it; then you may take whatever flesh you have a desire for.

BREVE JESUS VOLTARÁ
Mateus 24-26
“Sevos de Deus, a trombeta tocai. Breve Jesus voltará. A todo mundo a mensagem levai. Breve Jesus voltará. Breve virá, breve virá...”. Esta mensagem tem sido cantada pelo mais tradicional ministério evangélico de rádio do Brasil, “A Voz da Profecia”, por muitas décadas. Como eu também gostaria de cantá-la para você. Não posso? Posso. A tônica desta nota pode ficar soando na abóbada do seu cérebro numa acústica interminável, se você der ouvidos à leitura de hoje, cuja pauta é “A Volta de Jesus”.
Trata-se de um evento global, real, iminente e de data imprevista (Mateus 24:36). Portanto, torna-se imprescindível, o seu envolvimento com as preocupações que o abarcam. É por isto que a leitura de hoje é tão importante para você, na necessidade do preparo (Mateus 25:1-13), antes que aconteça o selamento do Espírito Santo, e a porta da graça se feche (Mateus 7:22-23; 25:11-12; Apocalipse 7:1-3. As habilidades especiais que o Senhor lhe deu devem ser aplicadas nisto (Mateus 25:14-30).
Em Mateus 24 você pode conhecer os sinais no contexto do mundo religioso precedente à esta segunda vinda de Cristo. O declínio ético (Apocalipse 13) afeta até o “dom de profecia”. E a advertência de Jesus no tocante aos falsos profetas no tempo do fim indica que neste mesmo tempo haveria profetas verdadeiros (Joel 2:28). Mas, nesta confusão religiosa, algo predomina, a fim de que você não termine desorientado (2Timóteo 3:15).
Ainda neste capítulo, veja a descrição do quadro dominante no mundo moral. Compare os versos 38-39 com 1Tessalonicenses 5:2-3 e Daniel 2:32-35. Mas até aí podemos ver esperança. A expressão “e os levou a todos” (verso 39) é, teologicamente, aplicada ao fim do Milênio (Apocalipse 20), quando ocorrerá também o fim da presença do pecado no Universo, com o extermínio total de toda impiedade (Lucas 17:29).
Será por esta ocasião que virá o Reino da Glória. Hoje, vivemos o Reino da Graça, que é uma situação em que estamos já salvos na garantia, mas não ainda livres de nos perdermos novamente (é o que a teologia chama do estágio do ‘já mas não ainda’, quanto à nossa salvação. Mas quando Deus vier (e note que até o Pai participará ativamente da segunda vinda de Cristo, de acordo com Mateus 26:64) seremos glorificados (1Coríntios 15) e viveremos num contexto em que não mais haverá nenhum tipo de degeneração (Mateus 25:31; Daniel 7:27).
Para Jesus, tudo isto era e é tão real a ponto de poder ser sentido na boca (Mateus 26:29). Você também precisa degustar esta realidade. A Santa Ceia, que tomamos na igreja, é o antegozo da volta de Cristo. Viva em comunhão!
