And when the seventh month came, and the children of Israel were in the towns, the people came together like one man to Jerusalem.

|Esdras 3:2|
Then Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, with his brothers, got up and made the altar of the God of Israel for burned offerings as is recorded in the law of Moses, the man of God.

They put the altar on its base; for fear was on them because of the people of the countries: and they made burned offerings on it to the Lord, even burned offerings morning and evening.

And they kept the feast of tents, as it is recorded, making the regular burned offerings every day by number, as it is ordered; for every day what was needed.

And after that, the regular burned offering and the offerings for the new moons and all the fixed feasts of the Lord which had been made holy, and the offering of everyone who freely gave his offering to the Lord.

From the first day of the seventh month they made a start with the burned offerings, but the base of the Temple of the Lord had still not been put in its place.

And they gave money to the stoneworkers and woodworkers; and meat and drink and oil to the people of Zidon and of Tyre, for the transport of cedar-trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, as Cyrus, king of Persia, had given them authority to do.

Now in the second year of their coming into the house of God in Jerusalem, in the second month, the work was taken in hand by Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come from the land where they were prisoners to Jerusalem: and they made the Levites, of twenty years old and over, responsible for overseeing the work of the house of the Lord.

Then Jeshua with his sons and his brothers, Kadmiel with his sons, the sons of Hodaviah, together took up the work of overseeing the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad with their sons and their brothers, the Levites.

And when the builders put in position the base of the Temple of the Lord, the priests, dressed in their robes, took their places with horns, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with brass instruments, to give praise to the Lord in the way ordered by David, king of Israel.

A TUA LEI
SALMO 119
Navegando pela internet, encontrei um belo comentário sobre o Salmo 119 no site www.meditardiaenoite.com.br, publicado por Daniela Correa no dia 03 de novembro de 2008. Ela lembrava o fato de que esse salmo é conhecido por ser o maior capítulo da Bíblia, o maior salmo.
Além de ser bem comprido – tem 176 versículos, o Salmo 119 possui uma peculiaridade muito interessante: a forma como ele é dividido. O texto inteiro é dividido em pequenos grupos de oito versículos nomeados por uma letra do alfabeto hebraico, totalizando 22 divisões, que são exatamente o número de letras do alfabeto hebraico. É um excelente estudo para quem quer estudar a língua hebraica, podendo iniciar por esse salmo.
Mas o ponto mais curioso que achei nesse artigo de Daniela foi o destaque correto que ela faz sobre o assunto principal do livro dos Salmos, que é a lei de Deus. Nesse site, Daniel e Daniela Correa defendem a Lei de Deus, ou seja, os Dez Mandamentos que foram dados a Moisés. Isso é muito importante. Afinal, o próprio Jesus disse que Ele não veio para abolir a Lei de Deus. Jesus a cumpria corretamente, não adulterando, honrando os pais, adorando a Deus, não cobiçando, guardando o sábado, não furtando, etc. Então, quem somos para não querer cumprir a lei? Se cumprimos a Lei de Deus, nossa fé fica muito mais fortalecida. O apóstolo Paulo também falou que nossa fé não anula a lei, mas sim, confirma a existência dela. Deve ser por isso que Tiago 2 fala da importância de guardar todos os Dez Mandamentos. A Bíblia realmente quer o melhor para nossa vida.
E aqui no Salmo 119, aprendemos que o que nos deixa sábios e santificados é a Palavra viva de Deus. Enquanto vai lendo-o, perceberá que, ao longo do texto, pelo fato de que o salmista amava muito os mandamentos de Jeová, ele terminava encontrando a força e a sabedoria necessárias para vida dele, através desses ensinos.
Há quem fique constrangido ao ler esse salmo. Como pode ser isso? Vemos alguém que meditava nos mandamentos de Deus, dia e noite, sem parar. Isso era o verdadeiro fundamento do coração desse servo de Deus. Ele tinha um zelo especial em procurar seguir esses mandamentos. Você acha que é possível fazer isso? Vou dar uma dica que talvez possa ajudar você nesse desafio. Decore a música “A Tua Lei”, de Milton Andrade, que está no CD Aqui é Seu Lugar, do quarteto Arautos do Rei. É o Salmo 119, cantado, em uma linda melodia. Não tem quem não se apaixone.
