|Esdras 3:1|
And when the seventh month came, and the children of Israel were in the towns, the people came together like one man to Jerusalem.

|Esdras 3:2|
Then Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, with his brothers, got up and made the altar of the God of Israel for burned offerings as is recorded in the law of Moses, the man of God.

|Esdras 3:3|
They put the altar on its base; for fear was on them because of the people of the countries: and they made burned offerings on it to the Lord, even burned offerings morning and evening.

|Esdras 3:4|
And they kept the feast of tents, as it is recorded, making the regular burned offerings every day by number, as it is ordered; for every day what was needed.

And after that, the regular burned offering and the offerings for the new moons and all the fixed feasts of the Lord which had been made holy, and the offering of everyone who freely gave his offering to the Lord.

From the first day of the seventh month they made a start with the burned offerings, but the base of the Temple of the Lord had still not been put in its place.

And they gave money to the stoneworkers and woodworkers; and meat and drink and oil to the people of Zidon and of Tyre, for the transport of cedar-trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, as Cyrus, king of Persia, had given them authority to do.

Now in the second year of their coming into the house of God in Jerusalem, in the second month, the work was taken in hand by Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come from the land where they were prisoners to Jerusalem: and they made the Levites, of twenty years old and over, responsible for overseeing the work of the house of the Lord.

Then Jeshua with his sons and his brothers, Kadmiel with his sons, the sons of Hodaviah, together took up the work of overseeing the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad with their sons and their brothers, the Levites.

And when the builders put in position the base of the Temple of the Lord, the priests, dressed in their robes, took their places with horns, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with brass instruments, to give praise to the Lord in the way ordered by David, king of Israel.

RUTE, LEALDADE E CONFIANÇA
Rute 01-04
De livro em livro, vamos avançando em nosso objetivo de lermos a Bíblia inteira em um ano. Hoje, devemos ler todo o livro de Rute. Mas não fique desanimado, pois esse livro só tem quatro capítulos.
Aqui contém uma história muito linda! Parece um romance com um enredo pronto para um bom filme. A história de Rute aconteceu no tempo dos juízes e conta as bênçãos que uma “gentia” recebeu quando passou a pertencer ao povo de Israel, mostrando sua fidelidade ao Deus do povo adotivo dela.
Ao ler sobre essa personagem, você verá que essa foi uma mulher que sofreu muito. Ela era, literalmente, uma estranha no “ninho”. Através do relato da própria vida dela, ela nos ensina que pertencer ao reino de Deus não depende de parentesco consangüíneo.
Rute era moabita. Qualquer participação de uma moabita na comunidade de Israel seria vedada por dez gerações, mas ela foi aceita pela obediência e pela fé, características que precisamos para pertencer ao povo de Deus.
A leitura do livro dela é uma inspiração, porque, na realidade, Rute foi uma pessoa bem diferente da maioria das pessoas. Ela fez de tudo para ajudar a sogra e acabou sendo a maior beneficiada. Digo isso porque quem está com problemas, geralmente quer fazer qualquer coisa que puder para salvar a própria pele, não é mesmo? Mas isso não é o certo.
Portanto, ao ler o livro de Rute, poderá captar as seguintes lições:
1º) A opção de seguir ao Senhor é a melhor decisão que podemos tomar na vida;
2º) Sempre vale a pena ajudar as outras pessoas. Com certeza, essa é uma recompensa que não falha;
3º) Ainda que estivermos sofrendo muito, podemos sentir que Deus estará nos protegendo.
Essas três lições de Rute são universais e valem para qualquer povo em qualquer tempo.
Uma curiosidade: você sabia que Rute ultrapassa as barreiras para unir? Seu nome significa “amizade”. Essa moabita guerreira, embora viúva de Quiliom, voltou para Israel com a sogra Noemi. Ela se casou com Boaz, que era israelita. Foi a bisavó do rei Davi e uma das antepassadas da família de Jesus. Já pensou, que privilégio?
Na genealogia de Cristo, em Mateus 1, encontramos cinco mulheres. É interessante o nome de Rute estar lá porque, como uma moabita, que não podia fazer parte do povo de Israel, ela mostrou que se formos leais e confiantes, poderemos ser recompensados. Deus cuida!
