|Neemias 8:1|
And when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their towns. And all the people came together like one man into the wide place in front of the water-doorway; and they made a request to Ezra the scribe that he would put before them the book of the law of Moses which the Lord had given to Israel.

|Neemias 8:2|
And Ezra the priest put the law before the meeting of the people, before the men and women and all those who were able to take it in, on the first day of the seventh month.

|Neemias 8:3|
He was reading it in the wide place in front of the water-doorway, from early morning till the middle of the day, in the hearing of all those men and women whose minds were able to take it in; and the ears of all the people were open to the book of the law.

And Ezra the scribe took his place on a tower of wood which they had made for the purpose; and by his side were placed Mattithiah and Shema and Anaiah and Uriah and Hilkiah and Maaseiah on the right; and on the left, Pedaiah and Mishael and Malchijah and Hashum and Hashbaddanah, Zechariah and Meshullam.

And Ezra took the book, opening it before the eyes of all the people (for he was higher than the people); and when it was open, all the people got to their feet:

And Ezra gave praise to the Lord, the great God. And all the people in answer said, So be it, so be it; lifting up their hands; and with bent heads they gave worship to the Lord, going down on their faces to the earth.

And Jeshua and Bani and Sherebiah and Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites made the law clear to the people: and the people kept in their places.

And they gave out the words of the book the law of God, clearly, and gave the sense of it, so that their minds were able to take it in.

And Nehemiah, who was the Tirshatha, and Ezra, the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were the teachers of the people, said to all the people, This day is holy to the Lord your God; let there be no sorrow or weeping; for all the people were weeping on hearing the words of the law.

Then he said to them, Go away now, and take the fat for your food and the sweet for your drink, and send some to him for whom nothing is made ready: for this day is holy to our Lord: and let there be no grief in your hearts; for the joy of the Lord is your strong place.

RADIOGRAFIA DE JUÍZES
Juízes 01-03
Para mim, é um prazer poder meditar, mais uma vez, na Palavra de Deus com você. Espero que você esteja conseguindo cumprir nosso plano de leitura bíblica, pois sei que, através dele, poderá aproximar-se ainda mais do personagem central da Bíblia: Jesus.
No comentário deste dia, quero fazer uma radiografia do livro da Bíblia chamado Juízes, que é o próximo livro que vamos ler. Vamos fazer uma “panorâmica” geral dele para que, nos próximos dias, quando você estiver lendo os demais capítulos, tenha mais sucesso que o esperado.
Juízes descreve uma série de quedas que o povo do Senhor experimentou com a idolatria. Essas quedas eram seguidas por invasões de inimigos, para dentro da Terra Prometida que, teoricamente, deveria pertencer ao povo do Senhor. Daí, o povo de Deus que era para ser abençoado passava a ser escravo dos próprios inimigos.
Nesse livro, o centro é a personalidade dos juízes (governadores) que eram levantados para servir como libertadores do povo de Israel. Enquanto o livro vai fazendo essa narrativa, podemos ver nele um destaque, uma atenção especial, para o lado obscuro do que aconteceu lá naquele panorama.
Se você não fizer uma leitura superficial, mas sim um estudo mais atencioso, começará a observar bem de perto a cronologia desse livro. Você perceberá que o estudo das datas inseridas em Juízes parece mostrar que, na realidade, o povo manteve lealdade ao Senhor, pelo menos de fachada, durante um período de tempo maior do que pensaríamos que poderia ter sido, se fizéssemos apenas uma leitura casual do livro. É muito interessante! Vale a pena fazer uma leitura profunda.
A tradição diz que quem escreveu esse livro foi Samuel, embora o livro não diga nada sobre quem tenha sido o autor. O que sabemos é que o tema principal é a história de Israel durante o tempo dos 14 juízes. E para conseguir enxergar melhor o “esqueleto” desse livro, podemos dividir Juízes em três partes:
1ª parte: 1 a 2:10 – é o período imediatamente após a morte de Josué;
2ª parte: 2:10 a 16 – podemos identificar como o período das sete apostasias, dos seis períodos de servidão e da guerra civil;
3ª parte: últimos cinco capítulos – descrevem o período de confusão e anarquia.
Mas, ao ler atentamente o livro dos Juízes, poderá ter o aproveitamento de tirar para você boas mensagens espirituais: sobre o fracasso humano e a misericórdia e libertação divinas e sobre o poder da oração que, nas emergências, se converte em verdadeiro clamor a Deus.
Essa é a radiografia. Agora, a posse completa é com você. É só ler, na sua Bíblia, o livro de Juízes.
