|Ezequiel 20:1|
It happened in the seventh year, in the fifth [month], the tenth [day] of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Yahweh, and sat before me.

The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

|Ezequiel 20:3|
Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Is it to inquire of me that you have come? As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I will not be inquired of by you.

"Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers;"

"and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: In the day when I chose Israel, and swore to the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am Yahweh your God;"

in that day I swore to them, to bring them forth out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.

"I said to them, Cast away every man the abominations of his eyes, and don't defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am Yahweh your God."

"But they rebelled against me, and would not listen to me; they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt."

But I worked for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

JÓ 29-31
“Como é bom ser cristão, quando tudo está bem pro seu lado...” É assim que canta Luiz Cláudio. “Os amigos, sorrindo, lhe abraçam, e estão com você”, e por aí vai... “Mas se tudo se vai para sempre, inclusive os amigos, e a doença lhe aflige e a fama já não mais existe, é mais fácil agora afastar-se de Deus, no momento de tanta aflição...” Por quê?
Antes de falar sobre o porquê, quero chamar sua atenção para ver a imagem, a estampa, o vídeo do áudio dessa música que mencionei. Mas não é no youtube, nem na televisão, nem no computador. É na leitura bíblica de hoje! Só que tem uma variante. Quando Jó estava bem, era fácil servir a Deus. Quando ficou doente, pobre e sem amigos, servir a Deus ficou difícil até para sua mulher, que mandou ele amaldiçoá-Lo e morrer, e para seus amigos, que passaram a falar um tanto de heresias.
Em Jó 29, ele fala que sente muita saudade de quando ia à porta da cidade, se assentava na praça pública e quando os jovens e pessoas idosas iam passando e o viam, ficavam em pé, diante dele, de mão boca, em silêncio, só o ouvindo falar. Ser cristão nessas horas é uma maravilha. Mas, no capítulo 30, Jó diz: “Mas agora eles zombam de mim”. “Virei piadinha para eles.”
E o que fazer quando viramos piada? Se Jó se encaixasse no perfil de crente descrito na música do cantor Luiz Cláudio, ele teria concordado com as ideias malucas dos amigos e esposa. Mas isso não aconteceu. Na leitura de hoje, terminam as palavras de Jó e o mais fantástico é que ele continua firme e perseverante na sua fé. Então, pensando nisso, resolvi escrever um poema sobre sentir vergonha ou não daquilo que se crê. Posso compartilhá-lo com você?

Esse era o sentimento de Jó. Eu também penso assim. E você? O que tem feito com sua fé?
