And the king sendeth, and they gather unto him all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem,

and the king goeth up to the house of Jehovah, and every man of Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, from small unto great, and he readeth in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that is found in the house of Jehovah.

And the king standeth by the pillar, and maketh the covenant before Jehovah, to walk after Jehovah, and to keep His commands, and His testimonies, and His statutes, with all the heart, and with all the soul, to establish the words of this covenant that are written on this book, and all the people stand in the covenant.

And the king commandeth Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the threshold, to bring out from the temple of Jehovah all the vessels that are made for Baal, and for the shrine, and for all the host of the heavens, and he burneth them at the outside of Jerusalem, in the fields of Kidron, and hath borne their ashes to Beth-El.

And he hath caused to cease the idolatrous priests whom the kings of Judah have appointed, (and they make perfume in high places, in cities of Judah and suburbs of Jerusalem,) and those making perfume to Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of the heavens.

And he bringeth out the shrine from the house of Jehovah to the outside of Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burneth it at the brook Kidron, and beateth it small to dust, and casteth its dust on the grave of the sons of the people.

And he breaketh down the houses of the whoremongers that [are] in the house of Jehovah, where the women are weaving houses for the shrine.

And he bringeth in all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defileth the high places where the priests have made perfume, from Geba unto Beer-Sheba, and hath broken down the high places of the gates that [are] at the opening of the gate of Joshua, head of the city, that [is] on a man`s left hand at the gate of the city;

only, the priests of the high places come not up unto the altar of Jehovah in Jerusalem, but they have eaten unleavened things in the midst of their brethren.

And he hath defiled Topheth, that [is] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, so that no man doth cause his son and his daughter to pass over through fire to Molech.

O homossexualismo era comum entre os gregos. Paulo escreveu a cristãos helenizados, por isso não deixou esse tema fora de seus escritos. O relacionamento “homossexual na Grécia Antiga teve diversos de seus aspectos explorados por autores da Antiguidade Clássica, como Heródoto, Platão, Xenofonte e Ateneu. A forma mais difundida e socialmente significativa de relação sexual íntima entre membros do mesmo sexo na Grécia do período era entre adultos e adolescentes, conhecida como pederastia...”. Entretanto, a história é clara em relatar que “os antigos gregos não concebiam a ideia de orientação sexual como um identificador social, da maneira que as sociedades ocidentais vêm fazendo ao longo do último século” (1Timóteo 1:8-11; Wikipedia.org, Homossexualidade na Grécia Antiga).
Isto me chama a atenção. O escrito antigo que nós cristãos buscamos para, através dele, nos orientarmos, é a Bíblia. Os que não aceitam a Bíblia costumam apoiar seu pós-modernismo num pluralismo de fontes, dentre as quais, a filosofia grega. Mas é quando, com estas diferenças, entramos na discussão sobre o homossexualismo, que vejo a incoerência dos não-religiosos. A apologia ao ato homossexual que defende-o pela suposta necessidade do respeito à opção de sexualidade do indivíduo baseia-se em quê? Os que encaram o homossexualismo como um comportamento normal ao mundo ocidental, também deveriam ser honestos o suficiente para conceberem a originalidade da idéia de que, segundo o pensamento grego, não se troca de sexo. Resumindo: o homossexualismo de hoje, além de não ter fundamento nenhum, não tem nada a ver com as práticas sexuais do mundo antigo. Em contrapartida, a defesa à pureza sexual dentro dos limites heterossexuais sempre teve os mesmos princípios deixados pelo Criador.
“Criou Deus o homem à sua imagem, à imagem de Deus o criou; homem e mulher os criou (Gênesis 1:27)”. Esta é a gênese. Nossa origem nos ensina sobre nossa natureza. Ou uma pessoa é homem, ou mulher. Sempre foi assim. Não existe um terceiro sexo. O ser humano não evolui. A degeneração é que nos fez pensar na possibilidade da existência de outras opções de sexualidade. Mas basta um pouquinho de estudo para entender que isto é biologicamente impossível. Numa fisiologia rasa, alguém pode até trocar de genitálias através de cirurgia, injetar hormônios no corpo para adquirir alguns traços superficiais (epiteliais, glandulares e capilares) da sexualidade oposta e aprender trejeitos de comportamento diferentes de sua origem sexual, mas, seu DNA continuará o mesmo. A estrutura de seu cérebro continuará a mesma. E estes dois últimos itens remontam todo o restante do corpo. Em cada uma de suas células está sua identificação original.
E Deus lhe ama assim, do jeito que você é. Embora ele não aprove o homossexualismo, ele ama a todos, inclusive, os homossexuais.
