|Êxodo 16:1|
And they journey from Elim, and all the company of the sons of Israel come in unto the wilderness of Sin, which [is] between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month of their going out from the land of Egypt.

|Êxodo 16:2|
And all the company of the sons of Israel murmur against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness;

|Êxodo 16:3|
and the sons of Israel say unto them, `Oh that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, in our sitting by the flesh-pot, in our eating bread to satiety -- for ye have brought us out unto this wilderness to put all this assembly to death with hunger.`

|Êxodo 16:4|
And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Lo, I am raining to you bread from the heavens -- and the people have gone out and gathered the matter of a day in its day -- so that I try them whether they walk in My law, or not;

|Êxodo 16:5|
and it hath been on the sixth day, that they have prepared that which they bring in, and it hath been double above that which they gather day [by] day.`

And Moses saith -- Aaron also -- unto all the sons of Israel, `Evening -- and ye have known that Jehovah hath brought you out from the land of Egypt;

|Êxodo 16:7|
and morning -- and ye have seen the honour of Jehovah, in His hearing your murmurings against Jehovah, and what [are] we, that ye murmur against us?`

|Êxodo 16:8|
And Moses saith, `In Jehovah`s giving to you in the evening flesh to eat, and bread in the morning to satiety -- in Jehovah`s hearing your murmurings, which ye are murmuring against Him, and what [are] we? your murmurings [are] not against us, but against Jehovah.`

|Êxodo 16:9|
And Moses saith unto Aaron, `Say unto all the company of the sons of Israel, Come ye near before Jehovah, for He hath heard your murmurings;`

|Êxodo 16:10|
and it cometh to pass, when Aaron is speaking unto all the company of the sons of Israel, that they turn towards the wilderness, and lo, the honour of Jehovah is seen in the cloud.

ACONTECIMENTO SIGNIFICATIVO
Gênesis 20-22
No relato de hoje, percebemos que Abraão passou por um estágio que poderíamos considerar como sendo o limite da obediência. Você já questionou: “Tudo bem, eu devo ser obediente. Mas até onde isso é bom? Será que devo ser obediente sempre?” Abraão chegou num extremo de sacrificar seu próprio filho. Isso estava certo? Será que o Senhor estava querendo provar a fé de Abraão ou provar que Ele era capaz de providenciar um cordeirinho para Abraão sacrificar? Será que foi só para fazer bonito?
Ao lermos o capítulo 20 de Gênesis e vermos toda a peregrinação de Abraão em Gerar e a maneira como o filho da promessa nasceu e cresceu, dá para perceber que a existência de Abraão e sua família era muito mais que um testemunho de vida. Na realidade, a vida deles era uma missão.
Deus tem um grande plano sendo executado neste mundo. Abraão, com sua própria vida, fazia parte da montagem dessa engrenagem. Digo isso porque a história de Gênesis 22 é muito mais que uma narrativa de um fato que aconteceu. Deus coordenou os acontecimentos e usou a história para ensinar uma lição para a humanidade. Para nós, é uma lição, mas para as pessoas daquela época era uma promessa de que Deus daria um substituto no lugar dos pecadores.
É como se Deus dissesse para a humanidade: “Meus queridos filhos, apesar de amá-los muito e os tenha criado perfeitos, vocês furaram o plano da felicidade, pecaram, e agora estão destinados a morrer eternamente porque o salário do pecado é a morte. Mas prestem atenção: verei se tem como dar um jeito nesse problema, que é muito sério. Embora vocês estejam indo para o altar, para ser esfaqueados e mortos, se mantiverem a fé em mim, proverei um substituto para morrer no lugar de vocês.”
Então, no lugar de Isaque, o substituto foi um carneiro, que apareceu preso pelo chifre num arbusto. No lugar do resto do mundo, de todas as pessoas que estavam condenadas à morte, vem o que está escrito em João 1:29, o cumprimento literal desse papel que Isaque e o carneiro estavam encenando, quando João Batista olhou para Jesus e disse: “Vejam! É o Cordeiro de Deus, que tira o pecado do mundo!” O cordeiro simboliza Jesus!
Na história de Abraão, vemos a paternidade de Deus expressada nas palavras de João: “Deus tanto amou o mundo que deu o seu Filho Unigênito, para que todo o que nele crer não pereça, mas tenha a vida eterna.” As boas novas do evangelho e do sacrifício de Jesus para nos salvar já podem ser lidas no começo da Bíblia.
