And they journey from Elim, and all the company of the sons of Israel come in unto the wilderness of Sin, which [is] between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month of their going out from the land of Egypt.

|Êxodo 16:2|
And all the company of the sons of Israel murmur against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness;

|Êxodo 16:3|
and the sons of Israel say unto them, `Oh that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, in our sitting by the flesh-pot, in our eating bread to satiety -- for ye have brought us out unto this wilderness to put all this assembly to death with hunger.`

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Lo, I am raining to you bread from the heavens -- and the people have gone out and gathered the matter of a day in its day -- so that I try them whether they walk in My law, or not;

and it hath been on the sixth day, that they have prepared that which they bring in, and it hath been double above that which they gather day [by] day.`

And Moses saith -- Aaron also -- unto all the sons of Israel, `Evening -- and ye have known that Jehovah hath brought you out from the land of Egypt;

and morning -- and ye have seen the honour of Jehovah, in His hearing your murmurings against Jehovah, and what [are] we, that ye murmur against us?`

And Moses saith, `In Jehovah`s giving to you in the evening flesh to eat, and bread in the morning to satiety -- in Jehovah`s hearing your murmurings, which ye are murmuring against Him, and what [are] we? your murmurings [are] not against us, but against Jehovah.`

And Moses saith unto Aaron, `Say unto all the company of the sons of Israel, Come ye near before Jehovah, for He hath heard your murmurings;`

and it cometh to pass, when Aaron is speaking unto all the company of the sons of Israel, that they turn towards the wilderness, and lo, the honour of Jehovah is seen in the cloud.

CONFUSÃO NATALINA
Apocalipse 10-11
Dada a importância da data, vou comentar a leitura de hoje amanhã, e a de amanhã, hoje. “Ela estava grávida e gritava de dor, pois estava para dar à luz... Ela deu à luz um filho, um homem, que governará todas as nações com cetro de ferro. Seu filho foi arrebatado para junto de Deus e de seu trono... Então ouvi uma forte voz dos céus que dizia: ‘Agora veio a salvação, o poder e o Reino do nosso Deus, e a autoridade do seu Cristo’” (Apocalipse 12).
O que o Natal representa para a sociedade? Em primeiro lugar, comércio. Em segundo lugar, feriado cheio de festas. Estas duas coisas são vazias em significados. Aí é onde entramos, como cristãos, pois como cristianismo, lidamos com significados. E isso tem a ver com o “terceiro lugar”: o nascimento de Jesus. Quando um sem-igreja, que gosta de pensar mais um pouquinho e buscar saber o que este feriado e festas significam, esta é a resposta popular que encontra.
Então, imagine. Ele busca por significados, pois quer encontrar um significado que faça sentido para sua vida. Nos shoppings e lojas, vê uma pompa riquíssima, de encher os olhos, em comemoração à data, porém, vazia de significados. Nos clubes, reuniões de amigos e entretenimentos, encontra uma ‘alegria’ e uma confraternização tremendamente marcantes, também rasas em significados. Aí ele pensa: “bom, se o significado desta data é, principalmente, o nascimento do Cristo, então, vou até os cristãos”. E nessa, ele procura uma igreja cristã.
Assim, em sua busca, a primeira que encontra, para sua infelicidade, é uma igreja bem arraigada à tradição farisaica, cheia destes que discordam do Natal por razões desconexas. Chega, passa pela porta, salão adentro, e ninguém o nota (o que não é difícil de acontecer). Olha o ambiente. Na suposta casa de Cristo não há nada que lembre o nascimento dEle. Senta-se, e assiste a programação inteira. O estudo bíblico é sobre o povo do deserto (que coisa mais estranha, para este pós-moderno). O sermão é sobre um tal de “Espírito de Profecia” (o que é isso?). No encontro dos supostos Cristãos, na data (ou véspera) do nascimento dEle, ninguém fala sobre o assunto ou se alegra pelo mesmo. “Opa! Tô no Lugar Errado!”.
Que ironia mais incoerente. Muitos supostos cristãos acusam os próprios cristãos por comemorarem o Natal. Enquanto as pessoas do mundo secular sem religião falam de fraternidade, confraternização, amor, paz, alegria, família, passeio, festas e presentes, alguns destes religiosos aqui degladeiam-se em ataques de idéias (como donos da verdade), ofensas, indiferenças, friezas, apegos a regras legalistas, etc. Os não-cristãos demonstrando piedade. Os “cristãos” demonstrando falta de piedade. No sentido correto da palavra, quem são os ímpios?
