|Neemias 8:1|
And all the people are gathered as one man unto the broad place that [is] before the water-gate, and they say to Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, that Jehovah commanded Israel.

And Ezra the priest bringeth the law before the assembly, both of men and women, and every one intelligent to hear, on the first day of the seventh month,

and he readeth in it before the broad place that [is] before the water-gate, from the light till the middle of the day, over-against the men, and the women, and those intelligent, and the ears of all the people [are] unto the book of the law.

And Ezra the scribe standeth on a tower of wood that they made for the purpose, and Mattithiah standeth near him, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right; and on his left Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchijah, and Hashum, and Hashbaddana, Zechariah, Meshullam.

And Ezra openeth the book before the eyes of all the people -- for above all the people he hath been -- and at his opening [it] all the people have stood up,

and Ezra blesseth Jehovah, the great God, and all the people answer, `Amen, Amen,` with lifting up of their hands, and they bow and do obeisance to Jehovah -- faces to the earth.

And Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, giving the people understanding in the law, and the people, [are] on their station,

and they read in the book, in the law of God, explaining -- so as to give the meaning, and they give understanding to the convocation.

And Nehemiah -- he [is] the Tirshatha -- saith (and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who are instructing the people) to all the people, `To-day is holy to Jehovah your God, do not mourn, nor weep:` for all the people are weeping at their hearing the words of the law.

And he saith to them, `Go, eat fat things, and drink sweet things, and sent portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for to-day [is] holy to our Lord, and be not grieved, for the joy of Jehovah is your strength.`

UM PROBLEMA DOS NOTICIÁRIOS
SALMOS 100-105
Você gosta de assistir aos noticiários na TV? “Não porei coisa injusta diante dos meus olhos; aborreço o proceder dos que se desviam; nada disto se me pegará” (Salmo 101:3).
Há anos, perdi o hábito de assistir aos telejornais ou revistas eletrônicas dos principais canais de TV. Hoje, leio alguma coluna de reflexão ou matéria de turismo em alguma fonte impressa esporadicamente. Pensei que passaria a ser alguém, como dizem, “desinformado”. Para minha surpresa, além de não perder nada, passei a ter uma percepção mais aguçada para muitas coisas. E se você duvida, para argumentar o contrário, experimente primeiro passar um semestre sem se abeberar dessas fontes, pelo menos. Vai descobrir o mesmo.
Quando dizemos que precisamos de todas as informações transmitidas pela mídia para ser pessoas bem informadas, estamos estreitando a dimensão universal de tudo o que existe. Como seria possível colocar a totalidade dos fatos ocorridos em todos os horários e locais, os procedimentos, contextos, ideias e pessoas, em espaços tão limitados de veiculação informativa? É óbvio que o divulgador opta por divulgar o que quer. Como quer ser visto, usa como critério para esse filtro, o que seu contemplador gostará de assistir. Como Satanás nos aguça a gostar mais daquilo que não presta, aí entra o sensacionalismo.
A prática do jornal é um sensacionalismo não assumido (muitos discordam disso) exatamente por distorcer diante do seu consumidor final o universalismo da realidade. Se você gastar as 12 horas claras do dia na movimentação urbana, provavelmente verá muita coisa normal e até boa. Mas, na sua TV, verá um quadro de desgraças repintando a mesma realidade. Você viu inúmeras esquinas e cruzamentos apertadíssimos, com intensa complexidade semafórica, onde milhares de automóveis e pedestres cruzaram durante o dia sem colidir. Porém, no telejornal, contemplará, como se fosse um todo da realidade urbana, os isoladíssimos acidentes de trânsito que aconteceram; foram farejados, chafurdados e exibidos. Por que o jornalista não gastou seu tempo mostrando como o trânsito é complexo e funciona relativamente tão bem? Por que não empregou seus esforços em fazer uma matéria que ensinasse como ter mais destrezas, percepção e cuidados em pontos específicos do tráfego que são críticos? Na linguagem técnica, não é “matéria quente”. Ou seja, é a notícia que não vende e não conquista audiência. Uma das características do sensacionalismo é a de não se preocupar com o que a pessoa precisa ver, mas somente com o que ela quer ver. A partir desta bitolação, a prioridade de formar, educar e redimir é sacrificada. Qual a vantagem em assistir a notificação de um acidente de trânsito? É melhor ler minha Bíblia.
