|Neemias 8:1|
And all the people are gathered as one man unto the broad place that [is] before the water-gate, and they say to Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, that Jehovah commanded Israel.

|Neemias 8:2|
And Ezra the priest bringeth the law before the assembly, both of men and women, and every one intelligent to hear, on the first day of the seventh month,

|Neemias 8:3|
and he readeth in it before the broad place that [is] before the water-gate, from the light till the middle of the day, over-against the men, and the women, and those intelligent, and the ears of all the people [are] unto the book of the law.

And Ezra the scribe standeth on a tower of wood that they made for the purpose, and Mattithiah standeth near him, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right; and on his left Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchijah, and Hashum, and Hashbaddana, Zechariah, Meshullam.

And Ezra openeth the book before the eyes of all the people -- for above all the people he hath been -- and at his opening [it] all the people have stood up,

|Neemias 8:6|
and Ezra blesseth Jehovah, the great God, and all the people answer, `Amen, Amen,` with lifting up of their hands, and they bow and do obeisance to Jehovah -- faces to the earth.

And Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, giving the people understanding in the law, and the people, [are] on their station,

and they read in the book, in the law of God, explaining -- so as to give the meaning, and they give understanding to the convocation.

And Nehemiah -- he [is] the Tirshatha -- saith (and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who are instructing the people) to all the people, `To-day is holy to Jehovah your God, do not mourn, nor weep:` for all the people are weeping at their hearing the words of the law.

And he saith to them, `Go, eat fat things, and drink sweet things, and sent portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for to-day [is] holy to our Lord, and be not grieved, for the joy of Jehovah is your strength.`

Provérbios 08-11
O que são provérbios? Segundo a “Wikipédia”, uma enciclopédia livre da internet, um provérbio “é uma sentença de caráter prático e popular, que expressa em forma sucinta, e não raramente figurativa, uma ideia ou pensamento.” Parece que complicou mais que ajudou? Provérbio é um pensamento legal que geralmente diz uma coisa boa e verdadeira. Nem sempre, mas quase sempre. Existem alguns que não prestam, mas têm muitos bons.
Às vezes, ao entrar em um estabelecimento, vemos um quadro com um pensamento. Embaixo, estão os créditos: “provérbio chinês”, “provérbio árabe”, etc. São muitos os tipos de provérbios. Como você é alguém que acredita em Deus e gosta de ler mensagens sobre a Bíblia, quero lançar um desafio. É um desafio para mim também. Vamos ser mais coerentes? Como assim? Minha proposta é usarmos mais a coerência em vez de ficarmos nos chafurdando com provérbios disso, provérbios daquilo, que muitas vezes têm até origens duvidosas e pagãs. É melhor gastarmos tempo nos provérbios bíblicos, já que somos cristãos e nosso livro é a Bíblia.
São tantos ensinos bons em cada um deles... A leitura de hoje, por exemplo, dispensa comentários! Quer ver só? O que você lerá a partir de agora é apenas leitura bíblica, sem comentário nenhum meu. São destaques que irei fazer do texto bíblico, só para deixar você com água na boca:
A sabedoria é mais preciosa do que rubis; nada do que vocês possam desejar compara-se a ela.
Temer o SENHOR é odiar o mal.
Quem corrige o zombador traz sobre si o insulto; quem repreende o ímpio mancha o próprio nome. Não repreenda o zombador, caso contrário ele o odiará; repreenda o sábio, e ele o amará.
O temor do SENHOR é o princípio da sabedoria, e o conhecimento do Santo é entendimento.
Os tesouros de origem desonesta não servem para nada, mas a retidão livra da morte.
Os sábios de coração aceitam mandamentos, mas a boca do insensato o leva à ruína.
O ódio provoca dissensão, mas o amor cobre todos os pecados.
Quem acolhe a disciplina mostra o caminho da vida, mas quem ignora a repreensão desencaminha outros.
Como o vinagre para os dentes e a fumaça para os olhos, assim é o preguiçoso para aqueles que o enviam.
O homem que não tem juízo ridiculariza o seu próximo, mas o que tem entendimento refreia a língua. Quem muito fala trai a confidência, mas quem merece confiança guarda o segredo.
Mulher bondosa conquista respeito. Como anel de ouro em focinho de porco, assim é a mulher bonita, mas indiscreta.
