|Neemias 8:1|
And all the people are gathered as one man unto the broad place that [is] before the water-gate, and they say to Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, that Jehovah commanded Israel.

And Ezra the priest bringeth the law before the assembly, both of men and women, and every one intelligent to hear, on the first day of the seventh month,

and he readeth in it before the broad place that [is] before the water-gate, from the light till the middle of the day, over-against the men, and the women, and those intelligent, and the ears of all the people [are] unto the book of the law.

And Ezra the scribe standeth on a tower of wood that they made for the purpose, and Mattithiah standeth near him, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right; and on his left Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchijah, and Hashum, and Hashbaddana, Zechariah, Meshullam.

And Ezra openeth the book before the eyes of all the people -- for above all the people he hath been -- and at his opening [it] all the people have stood up,

and Ezra blesseth Jehovah, the great God, and all the people answer, `Amen, Amen,` with lifting up of their hands, and they bow and do obeisance to Jehovah -- faces to the earth.

And Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, giving the people understanding in the law, and the people, [are] on their station,

and they read in the book, in the law of God, explaining -- so as to give the meaning, and they give understanding to the convocation.

And Nehemiah -- he [is] the Tirshatha -- saith (and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who are instructing the people) to all the people, `To-day is holy to Jehovah your God, do not mourn, nor weep:` for all the people are weeping at their hearing the words of the law.

And he saith to them, `Go, eat fat things, and drink sweet things, and sent portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for to-day [is] holy to our Lord, and be not grieved, for the joy of Jehovah is your strength.`

“Como Zaqueu, quero subir o mais alto que eu puder, só pra te ver, olhar para Ti, e chamar tua atenção para mim. Eu preciso de Ti, Senhor. Eu preciso de Ti, ó Pai. Sou pequeno de mais. Me dá a tua paz. Largo tudo pra te seguir. Entra na minha casa, entra na minha vida. Mexe com minha estrutura, sara todas as feridas. Me ensina a ter santidade. Quero amar somente a Ti porque o Senhor é o meu bem maior. Faz um milagre em mim”.
Esta é a letra de uma das canções que mais inspirou os cristãos brasileiros em 2008. Regis Danese cantava-a nas igrejas, nos encontros, nos toca CDs, rádios e aqui também, na internet. O povo gostou muito desta música. Mas, por que, será?
Por que ela expressa uma sede que todo ser humano tem. Sede de Deus. Muitos não reconhecem esta sede. Muitos não sabem que a têm. Tentam matar esta sede bebendo, em fontes erradas, conteúdos errados. Como um desesperado que vem a beber uma bebida prejudicial gelada, só porque está com a garganta seca, em lugar de beber água. Mas a necessidade da hidratação é real. Existe, em cada um de nós, um buraco tão grande, que só alguém do tamanho de Deus pode preenchê-lo. É por isto que quase a totalidade da população acredita que Deus existe.
Mas por quê poucos o encontram? A resposta pode ser encontrada na parábola do fariseu e do publicano, em Lucas 18:9-20. A busca por Deus deve ser tão simples quanto a letra da canção supracitada. Aliás, tão simples, que nem é busca, mas sim, espera, submissão. Como um bebê, que deixa-se ser pego ao colo. A pré-potência humana, do apego aos recursos que se tem em mãos, atrapalha-nos disso. Mas foi para quebras essas barreiras da nossa cegueira espiritual, que Jesus veio a este mundo, que Ele vem até você.
Zaqueu não queria subir para encontrar salvação, é claro. Ele não conhecia, ainda, o fim da história. Mas hoje temos o exemplo do que aconteceu com ele, para que, melhor ainda, conscientemente, possamos ir até Jesus. Você precisa de Deus? Sente-se pequeno demais? Deseja Sua paz? Largue tudo, para segui-Lo. Experimente um envolvimento real com tudo que tem a ver com Seu reino. Não permita que a entrada triunfal do Rei aconteça somente nas histórias bíblicas, mas também e principalmente, na sua vida. Se Ele foi Senhor até do mais glorioso rei de Israel (Davi), porque não poderá também fazer um milagre no seu coração?
Volte ao primeiro parágrafo, e faça essa oração a Deus. Peça-Lhe o milagre!
