Apocalipse 18-19
Na meditação de ontem, teorizei que o livro “O Grande Conflito” é um ótimo material para ajudar a entender o Apocalipse. Abaixo, mostro isso na prática:
Durante mil anos Satanás vagueará de um lugar para outro na Terra desolada, para contemplar os resultados de sua rebelião contra a lei de Deus. Durante este tempo os seus sofrimentos serão intensos. Desde a sua queda, a sua vida de incessante atividade baniu a reflexão; agora, porém, está ele despojado de seu poder e entregue a si mesmo para contemplar a parte que desempenhou desde que a princípio se rebelou contra o governo do Céu, e para aguardar, com temor e tremor, o futuro terrível em que deverá sofrer por todo o mal que praticou, e ser punido pelos pecados que fez com que fossem cometidos.
Ao povo de Deus o cativeiro de Satanás trará alegria e júbilo. Diz o profeta: "...no dia em que Deus vier a dar-te descanso do teu trabalho, tremor, dura servidão com que te fizeram servir, então proferirás este dito contra o rei de Babilônia [representando aqui Satanás], e dirás: Como cessou o opressor! ...." Isaías 14:3-6.
Durante os mil anos entre a primeira e a segunda ressurreição, ocorrerá o julgamento dos ímpios. O apóstolo Paulo indica esse juízo como um acontecimento a seguir-se ao segundo advento. Leia 1Coríntios 4:5. Daniel 7:22 declara que quando veio o Ancião de Dias, "foi dado o juízo aos santos do Altíssimo". Nessa oportunidade os justos reinarão como reis e sacerdotes diante de Deus. É nesse tempo que"os santos hão de julgar o mundo". 1Coríntios 6:2. Em união com Cristo julgam os ímpios, comparando seus atos com o código - a Escritura Sagrada, e decidindo cada caso segundo as ações praticadas no corpo. Então é determinada a parte que os ímpios devem sofrer, segundo suas obras; e registrada em frente ao seu nome, no livro da morte. Igualmente Satanás e os anjos maus serão julgados por Cristo e Seu povo (1Coríntios 6:3; Judas 6).
Ao fim dos mil anos ocorrerá a segunda ressurreição. Então os ímpios ressuscitarão dos mortos, comparecendo perante Deus para a execução do "juízo escrito". Assim, o escritor do Apocalipse, depois de descrever o ressurgir dos justos, diz: "Mas os outros mortos não reviveram, até que os mil anos se acabaram." Apoc. 20:5. A respeito dos ímpios Isaías declara: "Serão amontoados como presos numa masmorra, e serão encerrados num cárcere, e serão visitados depois de muitos dias." Isa. 24:22.
Releia estes fatos na leitura de hoje. Lembre-se que esta história continua amanhã. Porém, sua história, deve durar para sempre! Portanto, prepare-se!
