And Jehovah said to Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father's house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

And thy brethren also, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring near with thee, that they may unite with thee, and minister unto thee; but thou and thy sons with thee [shall serve] before the tent of the testimony.

And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of the whole tent: only they shall not come near to the vessels of the sanctuary and to the altar, that they may not die, and you as well as they.

This shall be thine of the most holy things, [reserved] from the fire: every offering of theirs, of all their oblations, and of all their sin-offerings, and of all their trespass-offerings, which they render unto me, it is most holy for thee and for thy sons.

“COMO UM REFINADOR E PURIFICADOR DE PRATA”
Malaquias
Hoje, dia três, quero estudar, com você, uma frase de Malaquias 3:3. Para nossa reflexão, trago aqui também uma pequena história ilustrativa. Mas antes, vamos ao versículo que trás a frase em questão. “Ele se assentará como um refinador e purificador de prata; purificará os levitas e os refinará como ouro e prata. Assim trarão ao SENHOR ofertas com justiça” (Malaquias 3:3).
Da mesma maneira que você está fazendo hoje, certa vez, um grupo de mulheres estudava o livro de Malaquias. E, ao se depararem com a frase acima, o estudo tomou um rumo inesperado. Pois, na realidade, elas depararam com um assunto do qual nada sabiam: “Ele se assentará como um refinador e purificador de prata...”.
Este verso as deixou intrigadas, pois elas não conseguiam entender seu significado. Parecia que aplicava-se ao caráter de Deus, mas como? Uma delas, porém, se ofereceu para tentar descobrir como se realizava o processo de refinamento da prata, até a próxima reunião.
O que ela fez? Entrou em contato com um ourives e marcou horário com ele. Não disse-lhe o motivo da sua curiosidade, mas, ainda assim conseguiu convencê-lo a deixá-la presenciar seu trabalho com a prata.
O homem colocou um pedaço do metal sobre o fogo e o aqueceu. Explicou que no processo de refinamento devia-se manter a prata no meio do fogo, onde as chamas eram mais quentes, de forma a queimar todas as impurezas.
Ela perguntou se era verdade que ele tinha que se sentar em frente ao fogo enquanto a prata estivesse sendo refinada. O ouvires respondeu que sim, pois tinha que ficar olhando o tempo todo para a prata, para evitar que ela fosse destruída pelo fogo.
A mulher, então, perguntou: “Como você sabe quando a prata já está purificada?”.
“Ah! é fácil, respondeu o ourives, quando eu vejo a minha imagem nela”.
Como Deus sabe, como o mundo pode saber, quando você já está purificado, meu amigo?
A resposta é fácil. É quando é possível ver a imagem de Deus em você.
O Senhor se dá ao trabalho de dar-lhe atenção exclusiva, para moldar-lhe o caráter. Imagine o grande ourives assentado, suando, concentrado, sem pestanejar, persistente, ansioso, perito, cauteloso, esperançoso, sem pensar em mais nada, concentrado no objetivo de transformar o que já é matéria-prima, em jóia preciosa: você. Mas não você como nasceu, um pecador. Não! Você como será, um justificado!
Diante disto, o que custa sentar-se também, como um leitor das escrituras, para hoje, terminar de ler o Antigo Testamento, e colaborar para a purificação desta prata preciosa de Deus? Faça-o, com a mesma dedicação de um ourives.
