And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.

Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt-offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.

And they set the altar upon its base; for fear was upon them because of the peoples of the countries: and they offered burnt-offerings thereon unto Jehovah, even burnt-offerings morning and evening.

And they kept the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and [offered] the daily burnt-offerings by number, according to the ordinance, as the duty of every day required;

and afterward the continual burnt-offering, and [the offerings] of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of Jehovah that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill-offering unto Jehovah.

From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah: but the foundation of the temple of Jehovah was not yet laid.

They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and food, and drink, and oil, unto them of Sidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar-trees from Lebanon to the sea, unto Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia.

Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem, and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have the oversight of the work of the house of Jehovah.

Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to have the oversight of the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brethren the Levites.

And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Jehovah, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise Jehovah, after the order of David king of Israel.

ESPÍRITO IMUNDO DA PARTE DE DEUS
1Samuel 14-16
O trecho bíblico proposto para hoje é uma boa leitura não só por se tratar de um texto de entendimento simples, mas, também, porque dessa leitura é fácil percebermos boas lições espirituais.
Como exceção, encontramos dois versículos difíceis de ser entendidos: “Então, os servos de Saul lhe disseram: Eis que, agora, um espírito maligno, enviado de Deus, te atormenta... E sucedia que, quando o espírito maligno, da parte de Deus, vinha sobre Saul, Davi tomava a harpa e a dedilhava; então, Saul sentia alívio e se achava melhor, e o espírito maligno se retirava dele” (16:15 e 23 - RA).
Para explicá-los, apresento abaixo uma pequena resenha de Leandro Quadros, usando a versão bíblica Revista e Almeida.
No pensamento hebraico, Deus é apresentado com sendo o autor de tudo aquilo que Ele permite que aconteça. Sua soberania é muito exaltada. Vejamos um exemplo. 1Crônicas 10:14 afirma que foi Deus quem matou Saul. Já no verso 4, a palavra de Deus relata que foi Saul quem se matou. Nosso Deus não tinha nada a ver com isso. Simplesmente esse é um modo hebraico de dizer que Deus permitiu que Saul morresse, pois foi isso que aquele rei de Israel escolheu.
A Bíblia apresenta uma grande quantidade de figuras de linguagem, expressões, etc. A expressão de Samuel quer dizer que Deus “permitiu” que o espírito atormentasse a Saul por causa da grande maldade e rebeldia dele.
Note que no verso diz que foram os “servos de Saul” que disseram isso e não Deus. Eles apenas “suporam” que tivesse sido Deus, devido às influências que a cultura hebraica (soberania de Deus em todos os acontecimentos) exercia sobre a mente deles.
Deus é amor (1João 4:8) e jamais iria mandar um espírito imundo atormentar alguém. Ele é tão bondoso que não tem prazer na morte do mais perverso de todos; Ele quer que todos se convertam e vivam (Ezequiel 18:23 e 32; Lucas 6:35). Não existe a menor possibilidade de Deus fazer o mal: “Ninguém, ao ser tentado, diga: Sou tentado por Deus; porque Deus não pode ser tentado pelo mal e ele mesmo a ninguém tenta” (Tiago 1:13).
“Ora, a mensagem que, da parte dele, temos ouvido e vos anunciamos é esta: que Deus é luz, e não há nele treva nenhuma” (1João 1:5).
A certeza que temos é que quando rejeitamos Seu amor, quando rejeitamos Seu perdão, Ele terá que permitir que as consequências nos sobrevenham, pois nos dá a liberdade de escolha. Confiemos no Senhor, pois “Ele é bom e a sua misericórdia dura para sempre” (Salmo 100:5).
Que Deus lhe abençoe ricamente hoje.
