And the priest that cleanseth him shall set the man that is to be cleansed, and those things, before Jehovah, at the door of the tent of meeting.

And the priest shall take one of the he-lambs, and offer him for a trespass-offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave-offering before Jehovah:

and he shall kill the he-lamb in the place where they kill the sin-offering and the burnt-offering, in the place of the sanctuary: for as the sin-offering is the priest's, so is the trespass-offering: it is most holy:

and the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

and the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah:

Hoje você começa a estudar o livro de Ezequiel. Serão duas semanas inteiras, lendo somente este livro. Portanto, uma introdução ao mesmo é oportuna. E para a mesma, conto aqui com uma ajuda externa, através de uma palavra orientadora e introdutória do professor de teologia Siegfried J. Schwantes, quanto ao livro de Ezequiel. Boa leitura.
O livro de Ezequiel está cheio de visões e profecias reveladas pelo Senhor a Seu profeta. E de acordo com o Ph.D. que citei no parágrafo acima, ainda que estas revelações foram dadas ao povo de Deus durante o cativeiro babilônico, muitas ainda estão por se cumprir.
No livro de Ezequiel encontram-se alertas de castigo por práticas pecaminosas e obstinadas, todavia há gloriosas promessas de encorajamento para aqueles que procuram honrar a Deus mesmo no meio de pesadas provações.
De maneira geral os estudantes da Bíblia ficam perplexos com as visões de difícil compreensão apresentadas por este profeta e falham em perceber a mensagem central de Deus de que Ele é o Senhor. Porém, para o estudioso aplicado este livro não oferecerá nenhuma dificuldade se fizer uma comparação cuidadosa de texto com texto das Sagradas Escrituras, preservando-se das interpretações particulares que não se harmonizam com o todo da Palavra de Deus.
Logo, você já percebeu que é necessário, mais do que ler Ezequiel, estudar este livro. Procure, de maneira agradável, como um dedicado estudante do Livro Sagrado, a compreender a verdade e as argumentações básicas das visões deste profeta, bem como suas profecias simbólicas. Você pode, além de estudar segundo o nosso plano de leitura diária, estudar o livro por seções, para que, em cada uma delas, consiga captar a idéia central e analisar os temas maiores, tratando igualmente de vários problemas que vão se apresentando. Como?
Quer entender Ezequiel? Em primeiro lugar, pedindo ao Espírito Santo que ilumine a sua mente, através da oração e meditação, cada vez que for estudar. Somada a isto, vem a necessidade de não fazer uma leitura superficial, mas profunda, talvez relendo várias vezes, e fazendo anotações. A fazer as releituras, use diferentes versões da tradução bíblica, e compare-as. Para encontrar uma divisão correta das seções, oriente-se através dos títulos e subtítulos da Nova Versão Internacional. Acompanhe o nosso comentário diário deste plano de leitura da Bíblia. Procure em alguma biblioteca, site ou livraria, livros que comentem o livro de Ezequiel, e leia-os. E por fim, leia o livro “Profetas e Reis”, da Casa Publicadora Brasileira.
