|Jeremias 40:1|
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him; for he had been put in chains, among all the prisoners of Jerusalem and Judah who were taken away prisoners to Babylon.

|Jeremias 40:2|
And the captain of the armed men took Jeremiah and said to him, The Lord your God gave word of the evil which was to come on this place:

|Jeremias 40:3|
*** and the Lord has made it come, and has done as he said; because of your sin against the Lord in not giving ear to his voice; and that is why this thing has come on you.

|Jeremias 40:4|
Now see, this day I am freeing you from the chains which are on your hands. If it seems good to you to come with me to Babylon, then come, and I will keep an eye on you; but if it does not seem good to you to come with me to Babylon, then do not come: see, all the land is before you; if it seems good and right to you to go on living in the land,

Then go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made ruler over the towns of Judah, and make your living-place with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go. So the captain of the armed men gave him food and some money and let him go.

So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah, and was living with him among the people who were still in the land.

Now when it came to the ears of all the captains of the forces who were in the field, and their men, that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, ruler in the land, and had put under his care the men and women and children, all the poorest of the land, those who had not been taken away to Babylon;

|Jeremias 40:8|
Then they came to Gedaliah in Mizpah, even Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and Seraiah, the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah, the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, took an oath to them and their men, saying, Have no fear of the servants of the Chaldaeans: go on living in the land, and become the servants of the king of Babylon, and all will be well.

As for me, I will be living in Mizpah as your representative before the Chaldaeans who come to us: but you are to get in your wine and summer fruits and oil and put them in your vessels, and make living-places for yourselves in the towns which you have taken.

ONDE É MEU LAR?
Números 09-11
“Lar, doce lar!” Essa frase já passou pela boca de todo mundo. E era isso que aquele povo, de Números 09-11 estava buscando. A Páscoa fazia parte da preparação. A proteção da nuvem e os toques das cornetas faziam parte da busca. E a partida do Sinai é a lição de que não basta sonhar em ter um lar, é preciso agir. Mas, na prática, será que isso é tão fácil assim? Veja esta definição, que um autor desconhecido fez, de o que é um lar:
“É um tapete de paz, guardado por um teto de esperança e por paredes de amor, com uma porta aberta para Deus e para o próximo. É um ambiente encantado, onde todo mundo pode descansar; é para onde os corações angustiados correm procurando um refúgio que os proteja das lutas da vida. É um ninho cheio de amor, em um mundo super estressado. É o reino do homem, o mundo da mulher, o paraíso das crianças.”
Uma família bem estruturada é uma potência para o bem, tanto no campo social quanto na completa felicidade do marido, da mulher e dos filhos. Ao constituir uma família, você está determinando valores morais e religiosos que seguirão adiante, influenciando o futuro, de acordo com a qualidade que seu lar tiver. Você já pensou nisso?
Certa vez, um menino demonstrava muita curiosidade ao olhar para uma cidadezinha; sua família estava se mudando para lá. Então uma pessoa estranha perguntou-lhe:
- O seu lar fica nesta vila?
O menino respondeu:
- “Sim, o nosso lar já está aqui, só que a gente ainda não conseguiu casa. Mas o meu pai está construindo uma.”
Podemos até nos mudar “de casa”, mas “de lar” não tem jeito. Para formar um lar, precisamos mais do que quatro paredes. Um lar se constrói com calor, amor, ternura, simpatia, compreensão e comunicação bondosa entre pais e filhos. Se o lar estiver nesses moldes, tanto faz ele estar em um palácio ou em um barraco, na cidade ou na roça, ele vai continuar sendo um lar. O lar sempre estará onde estiver o amor.
E aquele povo do deserto não tinha isso muito claro em mente: que eles eram (ou deveriam ser) um grupo formado por muitos lares. Por isso, a ânsia descontrolada em buscar preencher um vazio que a falta de um lar traz, a qualquer preço. As atitudes equivocadas do povo demonstravam tal busca.
Talvez você já tenha formado o seu lar sem ter levado esses princípios da felicidade da família em conta. Mesmo assim, ainda tem a chance de cultivar essas dicas até chegar ao Lar! Felicidades!!!
