|Jeremias 40:1|
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him; for he had been put in chains, among all the prisoners of Jerusalem and Judah who were taken away prisoners to Babylon.

|Jeremias 40:2|
And the captain of the armed men took Jeremiah and said to him, The Lord your God gave word of the evil which was to come on this place:

*** and the Lord has made it come, and has done as he said; because of your sin against the Lord in not giving ear to his voice; and that is why this thing has come on you.

|Jeremias 40:4|
Now see, this day I am freeing you from the chains which are on your hands. If it seems good to you to come with me to Babylon, then come, and I will keep an eye on you; but if it does not seem good to you to come with me to Babylon, then do not come: see, all the land is before you; if it seems good and right to you to go on living in the land,

Then go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made ruler over the towns of Judah, and make your living-place with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go. So the captain of the armed men gave him food and some money and let him go.

So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah, and was living with him among the people who were still in the land.

Now when it came to the ears of all the captains of the forces who were in the field, and their men, that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, ruler in the land, and had put under his care the men and women and children, all the poorest of the land, those who had not been taken away to Babylon;

Then they came to Gedaliah in Mizpah, even Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and Seraiah, the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah, the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, took an oath to them and their men, saying, Have no fear of the servants of the Chaldaeans: go on living in the land, and become the servants of the king of Babylon, and all will be well.

As for me, I will be living in Mizpah as your representative before the Chaldaeans who come to us: but you are to get in your wine and summer fruits and oil and put them in your vessels, and make living-places for yourselves in the towns which you have taken.

Senti Deus me chamando, através de uma música que ouvi. Era a primeira vez que eu a ouvia. Você já sentiu um chamado de Deus? E o chamado que veio à minha consciência era como se Deus estivesse me dizendo mais ou menos assim: “Valdeci, meu filho, você está correndo tanto, pra lá e pra cá... Venha aqui! Gaste tempo comigo. Relaxe-se! Esqueça do estresse desta sua correria louca, pelo menos por um pouco, e descanse na minha presença. Invista o melhor do seu tempo em adoração e sinta o que a minha glória pode fazer por você, se você estiver em comunhão e devoção comigo”.
Quando senti este chamado de Deus direto pra mim, a música que falava ao meu coração era uma canção escrita por Chris Falson: “I See The Lord”. Se eu fosse afinado, eu cantaria poderia, algum dia, cantá-la para você. Mas deixa pra lá. O que importa é que trata-se de um canto realmente muito lindo. Nele, esse compositor australiano, conseguiu pegar chamado feito a Isaías (capítulo 6), na presença do Senhor, há cerca de dois milênios e meio, e colocar, em tal cenário de adoração um clima contemporâneo perfeito. E agora, em pleno século XXI, confesso-lhe que já usei essa música para fazer o meu culto pessoal, louvando a Deus, e derramando minha alma perante Ele, sozinho, mas realmente como se a presença dEle estivesse ali comigo, no meu quarto, no meu escritório, muitas e muitas vezes. Estar na presença do Senhor, através da adoração e do louvor, é uma bênção.
E através da leitura da Bíblia também, não é mesmo? O louvor que brota do nosso interior com toda emoção devida é muito mais pleno se for acompanhado, precedido, ou seguido pela leitura e pelo estudo da Palavra de Deus. Tudo isso é adoração. O objetivo da música na adoração é, também, provocar, no adorador, o prazer de estar na presença do Senhor. E o objetivo da palavra na adoração é instruir o adorador sobre o que é estar na presença do Senhor. É isso que você encontra na leitura de hoje.
Isaías foi intimado a estar na presença de Deus: “Vi o Senhor assentado num trono alto e exaltado, e a aba de sua veste enchia o templo. Acima dele estavam serafins; cada um deles tinha seis asas: com duas cobriam o rosto, com duas cobriam os pés e com duas voavam. E proclamavam uns aos outros: “Santo, santo, santo é o Senhor dos exércitos, a terra inteira está cheia da sua glória”. Essa foi a impressão que Isaías teve: a mesma que a leitura bíblica objetiva causar em você.
