|Jeremias 40:1|
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him; for he had been put in chains, among all the prisoners of Jerusalem and Judah who were taken away prisoners to Babylon.

|Jeremias 40:2|
And the captain of the armed men took Jeremiah and said to him, The Lord your God gave word of the evil which was to come on this place:

|Jeremias 40:3|
*** and the Lord has made it come, and has done as he said; because of your sin against the Lord in not giving ear to his voice; and that is why this thing has come on you.

|Jeremias 40:4|
Now see, this day I am freeing you from the chains which are on your hands. If it seems good to you to come with me to Babylon, then come, and I will keep an eye on you; but if it does not seem good to you to come with me to Babylon, then do not come: see, all the land is before you; if it seems good and right to you to go on living in the land,

Then go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made ruler over the towns of Judah, and make your living-place with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go. So the captain of the armed men gave him food and some money and let him go.

So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah, and was living with him among the people who were still in the land.

Now when it came to the ears of all the captains of the forces who were in the field, and their men, that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, ruler in the land, and had put under his care the men and women and children, all the poorest of the land, those who had not been taken away to Babylon;

|Jeremias 40:8|
Then they came to Gedaliah in Mizpah, even Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and Seraiah, the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah, the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, took an oath to them and their men, saying, Have no fear of the servants of the Chaldaeans: go on living in the land, and become the servants of the king of Babylon, and all will be well.

As for me, I will be living in Mizpah as your representative before the Chaldaeans who come to us: but you are to get in your wine and summer fruits and oil and put them in your vessels, and make living-places for yourselves in the towns which you have taken.

Você já se deparou com alguma situação em que imaginou que estava, literalmente, em um beco sem saída? Já tentou olhar para todos os lados e, depois de muito procurar a solução para um determinado problema, percebeu que não existia luz no final do túnel? A leitura bíblica de hoje está fantástica, pois apresenta um grande milagre que aconteceu com o povo de Israel.
Josafá acordou pensando que aquele seria mais um dia normal, até que alguém lhe deu um recado, dizendo que vinha um grande exército contra ele. O desespero tomou conta, mas ao invés de se desesperar, tomou uma atitude um tanto incomum. Ele decidiu consultar a Deus e proclamar um jejum em todo o reino de Judá. Quando todos estavam reunidos, o rei começou a execução das suas táticas de guerra. Imagine a cena: o exército inimigo estava se aproximando e todo o povo, juntamente com o rei, estavam orando ao Senhor.
Essa oração é impressionante! Depois que oraram e de se aconselhar com o povo, Josafá nomeou alguns homens para cantarem ao Senhor, dizendo: “Deem graças ao Senhor, pois o seu amor dura para sempre” (2Crônicas 20:21).
O final da história eu não vou contar, mas quero refletir com você sobre a importância de louvarmos a Deus nos momentos mais difíceis da nossa vida. Muitas vezes nos entregamos ao desânimo quando um problema bate à nossa porta. Mas questiono: será que se louvássemos mais a Deus, nossa esperança, fé e coragem não seriam avivadas? Será que não teríamos mais vitórias se houvesse mais louvor a Deus e menos palavras de desânimo?
Nosso Deus é a Fonte eterna de poder e, descansados em Seus ternos braços de amor, Ele encherá nosso coração de alegria, além de nos conceder coragem para enfrentar os desafios aos quais nos deparamos no dia-a-dia. Nos momentos de crise, é de suprema importância que olhemos para a direção certa.
Quando passamos por dificuldades, provações e tempestades, temos a tendência de olhar horizontalmente, ou seja, olhamos para as outras pessoas, tentamos resolver as coisas por nós mesmos e acabamos nos frustrando. Portanto, precisamos ter uma visão vertical. Isso significa colocar nossa confiança em Deus e, assim como uma criança, deixar que Ele, com Suas estratégias divinas, tome conta das nossas angústias e necessidades.
Embora pareça que Deus está em silêncio, tenha a convicção de que Ele está operando em favor da sua salvação e felicidade. Ele não se engana! Então, mesmo com lágrimas nos olhos ou com o coração sangrando, louve ao Senhor porque o louvor tem o poder de espantar as trevas.
Experimente isso na sua vida!
