|Jeremias 40:1|
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him; for he had been put in chains, among all the prisoners of Jerusalem and Judah who were taken away prisoners to Babylon.

|Jeremias 40:2|
And the captain of the armed men took Jeremiah and said to him, The Lord your God gave word of the evil which was to come on this place:

|Jeremias 40:3|
*** and the Lord has made it come, and has done as he said; because of your sin against the Lord in not giving ear to his voice; and that is why this thing has come on you.

|Jeremias 40:4|
Now see, this day I am freeing you from the chains which are on your hands. If it seems good to you to come with me to Babylon, then come, and I will keep an eye on you; but if it does not seem good to you to come with me to Babylon, then do not come: see, all the land is before you; if it seems good and right to you to go on living in the land,

Then go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made ruler over the towns of Judah, and make your living-place with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go. So the captain of the armed men gave him food and some money and let him go.

So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah, and was living with him among the people who were still in the land.

Now when it came to the ears of all the captains of the forces who were in the field, and their men, that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, ruler in the land, and had put under his care the men and women and children, all the poorest of the land, those who had not been taken away to Babylon;

Then they came to Gedaliah in Mizpah, even Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and Seraiah, the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah, the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, took an oath to them and their men, saying, Have no fear of the servants of the Chaldaeans: go on living in the land, and become the servants of the king of Babylon, and all will be well.

As for me, I will be living in Mizpah as your representative before the Chaldaeans who come to us: but you are to get in your wine and summer fruits and oil and put them in your vessels, and make living-places for yourselves in the towns which you have taken.

É EMOCIONANTE, NÃO ACHA?
JÓ 38-42
É com muita alegria que escrevo o último comentário sobre o livro de Jó deste ano. O interessante disso é que neste final, vamos falar de começo, de princípio, de origem. Jó e seus amigos estavam questionando sobre a existência, mas haviam esquecido de algo básico. Quando Deus entra na discussão, Ele chama a atenção para isso.
Você quer saber qual é o sentido da sua existência? Então precisa saber de onde veio e para onde vai. Alexander Vom Stein escreveu um livro científico alemão, que aborda o criacionismo bíblico. Logo na introdução, o autor já começa discutindo essa questão. Segundo ele, todo ser pensante, um dia, já fez para si as seguintes perguntas: “De onde venho?”, “Pra onde vou?” e “Para que vivo?”. Essas, na realidade, são perguntas sobre a origem, o futuro e o destino da vida. Então, Stein comenta que “Se a origem e o desenvolvimento de todas as coisas é um processo aleatório, então a pergunta sobre o futuro de todas as coisas não pode ser respondida. E em processos aleatórios tampouco se pode encontrar sentido e objetivo. Por isso, a resposta a essa pergunta [De onde venho] é importante para todo ser humano – pois disso depende a procura por um sentido em nossa vida” (Criação, pág. 7).
Essa é uma grande realidade: precisamos saber de onde viemos. A pouco tempo, uma amiga apareceu no MSN para falar comigo. Ela pediu para eu assistir a um vídeo na internet. Perguntei sobre o que se tratava. Era sobre o parto do nascimento da sua filhinha. Logo disse não, pois não aguento assistir a essas coisas. Mas ela insistiu dizendo que não tinha sangue e que estava bem editado. Resolvi arriscar e assisti ao vídeo. Foi a coisa mais linda ver os médicos dando bom dia para aquele serzinho com cinco segundos de existência, entregar o ser humano que tinha um minuto de existência nas mãos do pai, e o pai mostrando para a mãe ver a filha antes que ela tivesse três minutos de vida.
Fiquei emocionado. É lindo, místico, fora da possibilidade de qualquer explicação a magia que esse momento envolve: ver o surgimento da vida. E por mais que os cientistas queiram parecer os sabichões, os semideuses, os sobre-humanos, qualquer um se sente pequeno diante da origem da vida. Todos se admiram do fato de que existem coisas que não dá para se explicar nem no laboratório mais avançado do mundo. Ironicamente, é a coisa mais simples do mundo. Nenhum cientista, de forma artificial, jamais conseguiu reproduzir esse fenômeno da Natureza porque nele está o toque de Deus.
