|Jeremias 40:1|
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him; for he had been put in chains, among all the prisoners of Jerusalem and Judah who were taken away prisoners to Babylon.

|Jeremias 40:2|
And the captain of the armed men took Jeremiah and said to him, The Lord your God gave word of the evil which was to come on this place:

|Jeremias 40:3|
*** and the Lord has made it come, and has done as he said; because of your sin against the Lord in not giving ear to his voice; and that is why this thing has come on you.

|Jeremias 40:4|
Now see, this day I am freeing you from the chains which are on your hands. If it seems good to you to come with me to Babylon, then come, and I will keep an eye on you; but if it does not seem good to you to come with me to Babylon, then do not come: see, all the land is before you; if it seems good and right to you to go on living in the land,

Then go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made ruler over the towns of Judah, and make your living-place with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go. So the captain of the armed men gave him food and some money and let him go.

So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah, and was living with him among the people who were still in the land.

Now when it came to the ears of all the captains of the forces who were in the field, and their men, that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, ruler in the land, and had put under his care the men and women and children, all the poorest of the land, those who had not been taken away to Babylon;

|Jeremias 40:8|
Then they came to Gedaliah in Mizpah, even Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and Seraiah, the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah, the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, took an oath to them and their men, saying, Have no fear of the servants of the Chaldaeans: go on living in the land, and become the servants of the king of Babylon, and all will be well.

As for me, I will be living in Mizpah as your representative before the Chaldaeans who come to us: but you are to get in your wine and summer fruits and oil and put them in your vessels, and make living-places for yourselves in the towns which you have taken.

CURRÍCULO, BIOGRAFIA OU EXEMPLO DE VIDA?

Davi recebeu a notícia da morte de Saul e Jônatas. Você acha que ele fez um lamento por isso? E por que lamentar? Quais haviam sido os históricos desses dois falecidos? O de Saul, não poderíamos chamá-lo de nada mais que um currículo medíocre (em arquivo morto). O de Jônatas, uma pequena e curta biografia. A quem você se compara?
Compartilhando um pouco de nós com você, no dia em que fomos ordenados ao ministério, no boletim da programação, havia o seguinte texto (adaptado):
“Filho de Valdeci G. S. e Maria das Graças O. S., Valdeci G. S. Junior, nascido em 07/04/ dos anos setenta, na cidade de São Paulo, durante sua infância, frequentou uma pequena igreja familiar. Tanto nas igrejas que frequentou, quanto nas escolas cristãs em que estudou (institutos cristãos em São Paulo, Goiás e Paraná), sempre gostou de envolver-se com as atividades eclesiásticas, participando e liderando.
“Apaixonado pelo trabalho de Deus, sentiu-se tão grato por tudo o que Jesus já havia lhe feito, que resolveu também dar-Lhe o seu melhor, dedicando-se a trabalhar integralmente para Ele enquanto vivesse. Foi aí que, após ter se formado em Processamento de Dados, resolveu trocar sua vida de trabalho na área da informática para estudar numa escola que prepara missionários. Mas foi apenas na prática de evangelismo do terceiro ano de teologia que se sentiu realmente atraído pelo ministério pastoral efetivo.
“Nessa ocasião, a outra metade desse embrião missionário entrou em cena: Fátima, gaúcha de Rolante que, também interessada em servir a Deus integralmente, somou-se ao Valdeci para formar o casal ministerial.
“Em 2003 e 2004, enquanto Valdeci Junior servia à obra de Deus na área da educação em Brasília, Fátima terminou sua faculdade em São Paulo, formando-se em Letras.
“Em 2005, agora casados, Valdeci e Fátima passaram a servir à igreja na Escola Bíblica da Rede Novo Tempo de Comunicação. E desde então, são um casal apaixonado por comunicação, mas, acima de tudo, pela motivação de “ir aonde Deus mandar”.
“Atualmente, seu ministério é ‘ajudar’ a Jesus quanto à Sua preocupação descrita em João 10:16: ‘Tenho outras ovelhas que não são deste aprisco. É necessário que eu as conduza também. Elas ouvirão a minha voz, e haverá um só rebanho e um só pastor’.”
E eu fiquei pensando: essa é a minha história? O que é isso diante da História ou do plano da redenção? Um nada! Eu me compararia ao que descrevi de Jônatas: uma pequena e curta biografia. Mas quando olho para Davi... Ele recebeu a unção, e seu histórico foi um belo exemplo de vida.
Seja esse o nosso alvo!
