|Jeremias 40:1|
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him; for he had been put in chains, among all the prisoners of Jerusalem and Judah who were taken away prisoners to Babylon.

|Jeremias 40:2|
And the captain of the armed men took Jeremiah and said to him, The Lord your God gave word of the evil which was to come on this place:

*** and the Lord has made it come, and has done as he said; because of your sin against the Lord in not giving ear to his voice; and that is why this thing has come on you.

Now see, this day I am freeing you from the chains which are on your hands. If it seems good to you to come with me to Babylon, then come, and I will keep an eye on you; but if it does not seem good to you to come with me to Babylon, then do not come: see, all the land is before you; if it seems good and right to you to go on living in the land,

Then go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made ruler over the towns of Judah, and make your living-place with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go. So the captain of the armed men gave him food and some money and let him go.

So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah, and was living with him among the people who were still in the land.

Now when it came to the ears of all the captains of the forces who were in the field, and their men, that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, ruler in the land, and had put under his care the men and women and children, all the poorest of the land, those who had not been taken away to Babylon;

Then they came to Gedaliah in Mizpah, even Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and Seraiah, the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah, the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, took an oath to them and their men, saying, Have no fear of the servants of the Chaldaeans: go on living in the land, and become the servants of the king of Babylon, and all will be well.

As for me, I will be living in Mizpah as your representative before the Chaldaeans who come to us: but you are to get in your wine and summer fruits and oil and put them in your vessels, and make living-places for yourselves in the towns which you have taken.

TODO SONHO VEM DE DEUS?
Gênesis 40-42
Alberto Ronald Timm, Ph.D, em seu artigo na Revista “Sinais dos Tempos” de julho de 1999, nos explica que determinar a natureza específica de cada sonho de uma pessoa é um assunto muito complexo e subjetivo. Além dos “sonhos mentirosos” e não autênticos (Jeremias 23:32; 29:8 e 9), existem dois grandes grupos de sonhos reais. O primeiro e mais comum deles é o formado pelos sonhos naturais, que fazem parte do processo normal de descanso durante o sono e cujo conteúdo pode apresentar-se de forma organizada ou desorganizada. Uma vez que “das muitas ocupações brotam sonhos” (Eclesiastes 5:3), é provável que pessoas envolvidas em assuntos religiosos acabem sonhando com eles, sem que tais sonhos sejam de origem sobrenatural.
Já o segundo grupo básico de sonhos é formado pelos sonhos sobrenaturais, que podem ser de origem divina ou satânica. Os sonhos de origem divina têm, normalmente, um propósito salvífico bem definido e podem ser concedidos tanto aos profetas verdadeiros (Números 12:6) quanto a pessoas comuns (Joel 2:28; Gênesis 451; Daniel 2). Os de origem satânica são quase sempre fascinantes e podem conter meias-verdades para confundir. Suas predições podem até se cumprir, mas eles tendem a afastar a pessoa de Deus e de Sua vontade (Jeremias 29:8; Mateus 24:24; 1Pedro 5:8).
Tanto os sonhos naturais como os sobrenaturais podem ter um conteúdo religioso. O simples fato de Deus conceder um sonho sobrenatural a alguém não transforma essa pessoa automaticamente num profeta (Gênesis 41; Daniel 2). O chamado para o ministério profético é algo diferente e bem mais abrangente. A atitude de atribuir a Deus a origem de todos os sonhos de cunho religioso e de buscar sempre um significado especial para o seu conteúdo é perigosa.
Somos advertidos por Deus de que os sonhos devem permanecer subordinados às Escrituras. “O profeta que tem um sonho, conte o sonho, e o que tem a minha palavra, fale a minha palavra com fidelidade. Pois o que tem a palha a ver com o trigo?, pergunta o SENHOR. À lei e aos mandamentos! Se eles não falarem conforme esta palavra, vocês jamais verão a luz!” (Jeremias 23:28; Isaías 8:20; Mateus 7:21-23; Gálatas 1:8-9, 1João 2:4; 4:1).
Sonhos jamais são usados por Deus como um fim em si mesmos, mas apenas como um meio de nos aproximar mais dEle e de Sua Palavra (ver João 20:29). Nossa fé não deve ser dependente de tais meios, possíveis de serem usados também por Satanás. Se você tiver um sonho que julga ser divino, mas não tem certeza, antes de ter completo esclarecimento, tente apenas extrair dele uma lição positiva para a vida.
