Now it came about in the seventh month that Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the king's seed, having with him ten men, came to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah; and they had a meal together in Mizpah.

Then Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men who were with him, got up, and attacking Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword, put to death him whom the king of Babylon had made ruler over the land.

And Ishmael put to death all the Jews who were with him, even with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the Chaldaean men of war.

Now on the second day after he had put Gedaliah to death, when no one had knowledge of it,

Some people came from Shechem, from Shiloh and Samaria, eighty men, with the hair of their faces cut off and their clothing out of order, and with cuts on their bodies, and in their hands meal offerings and perfumes which they were taking to the house of the Lord.

And Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, went out from Mizpah with the purpose of meeting them, weeping on his way: and it came about that when he was face to face with them he said, Come to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam.

And when they came inside the town, Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and the men who were with him, put them to death and put their bodies into a deep hole.

But there were ten men among them who said to Ishmael, Do not put us to death, for we have secret stores, in the country, of grain and oil and honey. So he did not put them to death with their countrymen.

Now the hole into which Ishmael had put the dead bodies of the men whom he had put to death, was the great hole which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha, king of Israel: and Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, made it full of the bodies of those who had been put to death.

Then Ishmael took away as prisoners all the rest of the people who were in Mizpah, the king's daughters and all the people still in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had put under the care of Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam: Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, took them away prisoners with the purpose of going over to the children of Ammon.

Isaías 08-10
Estou lendo “Uma História do Pensamento Cristão - Do início até o Concílio de Calcedônia”. Neste livro, Justo Gonzáles vai narrando fatos que aconteceram com os homens dos primeiros séculos da era cristã, colocando citações de seus escritos e argumentando, de maneira que você termina sendo realmente induzido a imaginar o que supostamente se passava na cabeça daqueles cristãos do começo da era do cristianismo. Bate-papo legal é aquele cuja pauta não se prende a falar apenas de fatos ou pessoas, mas, pelo contrário, sobre o nível para o campo das idéias. A maioria das pessoas conversa, conversa, conversa... E a conversa não sai desse nível: falar de outras pessoas. Representa a pobreza de uma conversa vazia, onde, geralmente, os interlocutores não têm conteúdo. Quando surge uma discussão, as pessoas que são viciadas nesse tipo de conversa, por não saber defender idéias, só conseguem fazer críticas “ad hominem”, isto é, atacam as pessoas. E não conseguir separar idéia pra um lado e pessoa para o outro, é desastroso.
Mas subindo o nível um pouquinho, existe a conversa que fala sobre fatos: aconteceu isto, aconteceu aquilo, vai acontecer aquilo outro... Trata-se de uma prosopopéia um pouco menos pobre.
Acima disso estão os papos-cabeça, que conseguem enxergar além das pessoas e dos fatos, e ver os valores, princípios, conceitos, idéias, argumentos, razões e as coisas mais sublimes que o pensamento humano pode produzir. Hoje eu lhe desafio a fazer uma apreciação do texto de leitura bíblica. É claro que Isaías cita pessoas e fatos. Mas, que significado havia por trás destes? Todavia, tente, ao ler Isaías 08 a 10, mixar a lógica com a sensibilidade. E experimente ver que grandes coisas podem sair de um mesmo texto!
Exemplos:
a) Isaías 8:20 – Aqui você encontra o conceito (segundo os critérios descritos neste versículos) de que a grande depositária da verdade é a Igreja. Isso não é o que está diretamente escrito, mas é uma mensagem que está ali no verso, e que não pode ser negada.
b)Isaías 8:19-20 – Apesar de não ver nestas linhas a palavra “espiritismo”, numa leitura mais atentiva você vai perceber claramente que a atual religiosidade espírita é espúria para Deus.
c) Isaías 9:6-7 – Apesar de que a palavra “Jesus” só apareça no Novo Testamento, com um olhar além das linhas e letras você vê, claramente, as predições concernentes acerca de um Salvador que viria.
d) Isaías...
Da letra “d” em diante é contigo. De uma coisa eu sei, meu amigo, existem muitas outras lições a ser tiradas destes três capítulos propostos para hoje. Peça a Deus, que lhe ensine a disciplina que está além da simples grafia.
