Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.

Reconheço que nosso espaço aqui é limitadíssimo para comentarmos tudo o que é preciso a respeito de tantos significados importantes das profecias do Apocalipse. Se eu fosse resumir a leitura de hoje em poucas palavras, diria que ela representa o fato de que há um grande conflito cósmico acontecendo neste exato momento, com uma influência tão forte em todas as ações humanas, que, em breve, isto culminará num verdadeiro fim de mundo. Falando sério!
Mas não quero deixar-lhe na mão, na busca por um entendimento tão sério. O melhor livro que conheço na ajuda para o entendimento destes mistérios é “O Grande Conflito”, da Casa Publicadora Brasileira (Fone 0800 976 06 06). Esta leitura é um requisito indispensável de sobrevivência espiritual de todos os cristãos que vivem no tempo do fim, porque no grande conflito entre o bem e o mal, a impressão que se tem é a de que o mal está levando a melhor.
