The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.

Now the LORD hath brought it, and done according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.

Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

DNA CRISTÃO
2Timóteo
Ontem falei sobre nossa identificação sexual através do DNA. Ou você é XX ou é XY. Inerentemente, não existe um outro tipo de cromossomo humano. Hoje quero falar também com você sobre uma identificação desoxirribonucléica tão singular quanto, com apenas duas opções também. Se ontem vimos, em 1Timóteo, um reflexo comportamental degenerado da humanidade, hoje podemos, em 2Timóteo, ver uma característica comportamental redimida do ser humano. Assim como na apostasia está o estrago, na redenção está a adoração.
Vejo adoração em 2Timóteo, do começo ao fim. O grande culto começa no primeiro capítulo. “Graça, misericórdia e paz da parte de Deus Pai e de Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor. Dou graças a Deus, a quem sirvo (versos 2-3)...” E o louvor continua. Uma adoração que começa louvando, continua, no capítulo 2, com a oração. Paulo exorta seu discípulo a fortificar-se “na graça que há em Cristo Jesus”. Uma prece na qual está o perdão dos pecados, “para que assim voltem à sobriedade” (versos 1, 11 e 26). Depois de louvar e comungar com Deus, você é chamado a conhecer as “Sagradas Letras, que são capazes de torná-lo sábio para a salvação mediante a fé em Cristo Jesus... (versos 15-16)”, através do estudo sistemático, com a finalidade de ficar “Por Dentro da Bíblia”. E por fim, “na presença de Deus e de Cristo Jesus... pregue a palavra (4:1-2). Este capítulo tem a sua segunda metade dedicada a lembrar-se dos queridos, que também precisam de Jesus. Louvor, Oração, Estudo da Bíblia e Testemunho, um culto perfeito.
Esta inclinação à adoração era fluente em Paulo. A linguagem litúrgica flui, quase imperceptivelmente, a discipular Timóteo à mesma veneração. E, diante deste altar, estão, também, o seu e o meu lugar, esperando-nos. Isto lembra-me da gostosa música composta e cantada por Nani Azevedo, “Adorador Por Excelência”. Sua letra diz:
“Quero dar o melhor de mim
“Quero oferecer sacrifício de louvor
“Quero ser bem mais do que já sou
“Um adorador por excelência me tornar
“Eu não vou me importar com o que vai acontecer
“Eu só quero Te exaltar; Tu és a razão do meu viver
“Eu não posso me calar; tenho adoração em meu DNA
“um adorador por excelência
“um adorador por excelência
“quero ser...
Os convites nos soam aos olhos, ouvidos, sentidos, de formas doces e suaves. Através da agradável leitura de hoje, através do encantador poema deste artista cristão, através desta simples meditação, você está sendo cortejado por Deus, ser um adorador por excelência. Não há meio termo. Ou somos de Deus, ou não somos. No trono do coração, só pode haver um senhor. O que corre em suas veias espirituais?
