|Jeremias 36:1|
And it cometh to pass, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, this word hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying:

|Jeremias 36:2|
`Take to thee a roll of a book, and thou hast written on it all the words that I have spoken unto thee concerning Israel, and concerning Judah, and concerning all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day;

|Jeremias 36:3|
if so be the house of Israel do hear all the evil that I am thinking of doing to them, so that they turn back each from is evil way, and I have been propitious to their iniquity, and to their sin.`

|Jeremias 36:4|
And Jeremiah calleth Baruch son of Neriah, and Baruch writeth from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of Jehovah, that He hath spoken unto him, on a roll of a book.

And Jeremiah commandeth Baruch, saying, `I am restrained, I am not able to enter the house of Jehovah;

but thou hast entered -- and thou hast read in the roll that thou hast written from my mouth, the words of Jehovah, in the ears of the people, in the house of Jehovah, in the day of the fast, and also in the ears of all Judah who are coming in from their cities thou dost read them;

if so be their supplication doth fall before Jehovah, and they turn back each from his evil way, for great [is] the anger and the fury that Jehovah hath spoken concerning this people.`

And Baruch son of Neriah doth according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, to read in the book the words of Jehovah in the house of Jehovah.

And it cometh to pass, in the fifth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, proclaimed a fast before Jehovah have all the people in Jerusalem, and all the people who are coming in from cities of Judah to Jerusalem;

and Baruch readeth in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of Jehovah, in the chamber of Gemariah son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the opening of the new gate of the house of Jehovah, in the ears of all the people.

EXPRESSÃO DOURADA

Eu estava assistindo a um programa de TV que joga com as palavras. O apresentador dá uma dica para o participante, e ele deve procurar outras palavras que estejam relacionadas com ela. Uma dessas dicas foi a palavra rei. O que você pensa quando ouve essa palavra? Que outras palavras têm a ver com “rei”? Castelo, palácio, trono, princesa, guerra, poder? Duas palavras me vêm à mente: uma é ouro; a outra, coroa. Ouro tem tudo a ver com rei, não tem? E coroa não é diferente, não é mesmo?
Na realidade, a coroa é a expressão dourada de uma majestade. É a identificação do rei e, também, o símbolo de tudo o que ele representa. Por isso, é composta por um metal bem caro para ostentar o poder que está entronado. Pensar em rei sem coroa seria como pensar em rei que não é rei, concorda?
Eu estava fazendo a leitura bíblica de hoje e fiquei procurando exatamente a coroa do rei Davi. Sei que ele tinha coroa, mas em 2Samuel 5-7, encontrei o rei Davi com a cabeça destampada. Ao ler o capítulo que fala sobre quando Davi se tornou rei, vemos que não tem a expressividade dessa investidura através de uma coroação. Então, o que expressaria o fato de Davi ser um rei?
Quer saber a resposta? Leia 2Samuel 7. Davi, muito mais que um aval político, tinha a aprovação e o chamado de Deus para ser um rei. E é interessante que Deus faz lindas promessas para ele. Veja algumas coisas que o Senhor falou: “Eu serei seu pai, e ele será o meu filho. Quando ele cometer algum erro, eu o punirei... mas nunca retirarei dele o meu amor.” Lindo, não é mesmo?
Já imaginou Deus dizendo isso sobre você? “Filho, leitor deste comentário, eu serei o seu Pai, e você será o meu filho. Quando você cometer algum erro, eu o punirei, mas nunca retirarei de você o meu amor!” Já pensou? A melhor notícia é que você não precisa só ficar pensando, pois essa é uma declaração real de Deus para você. É bom demais pra ser verdade? Sim, também acho. Mas é isso mesmo. “É só o ouro.”
Essa é a expressão dourada de Deus para você. Quer uma prova de que isso é realmente verdade? Estude a vida de Davi e perceberá que sua biografia foi assim.
Davi foi realmente um filho para Deus. Ele errou, foi punido, mas Deus nunca retirou dele o amor que Ele tinha. Se Deus cumpriu a promessa na vida de Davi, esteja certo de que Ele as cumprirá na sua vida também.
