The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath sent him from Ramah, in his taking him -- and he a prisoner in chains -- in the midst of all the removal of Jerusalem and of Judah, who are removed to Babylon.

And the chief of the executioners taketh Jeremiah, and saith unto him, `Jehovah thy God hath spoken this evil concerning this place,

and Jehovah bringeth [it] in, and doth as He spake, because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened to His voice, even this thing hath been to you.

`And now, lo, I have loosed thee to-day from the chains that [are] on thy hand; if good in thine eyes to come with me [to] Babylon, come, and I keep mine eye upon thee: and if evil in thine eyes to come with me to Babylon, forbear; see, all the land [is] before thee, whither [it be] good, and whither [it be] right in thine eyes to go -- go.` --

and while he doth not reply -- `Or turn back unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him in the midst of the people, or whithersoever it is right in thine eyes to go -- go.` And the chief of the executioners giveth to him for the way, and a gift, and sendeth him away,

and Jeremiah cometh in unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and dwelleth with him, in the midst of the people who are left in the land.

And all the heads of the forces that [are] in the field hear, they and their men, that the king of Babylon hath appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam over the land, and that he hath charged him [with] men, and women, and infants, and of the poor of the land, of those who have not been removed to Babylon;

and they come in unto Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan sons of Kareah, and Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah son of the Maachathite, they and their men.

And swear to them doth Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, and to their men, saying, `Be not afraid of serving the Chaldeans, abide in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it is well for you;

and I, lo, I am dwelling in Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who are come in unto us, and ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruit, and oil, and put in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.`

EVITE O BLÁ, BLÁ, BLÁ
JÓ 32-34
Blá-blá-blá! Blá-blá-blá! Blá-blá-blá! Penso que era isso que rodava na cabeça de Jó, enquanto ouvia Eliú. Que cara chato! Jó falou o que tinha que falar e pronto! Mas aí Eliú começou a falar e não parou mais. Não acho, porém, que ele era alguém chato para mim ou para nós, que fazemos a leitura bíblica; o que ele disse é até interessante. Refiro-me ao quanto ele estava sendo chato naquela situação para Jó. Ele falou até espumar o canto da boca. Já viu aquele ditado: “fala mais que o homem da cobra”? A leitura inteira de hoje só apresenta a fala de Eliú, mais nada. E o pior é que ele continua falando até no capítulo 37. Então, prepare-se, pois toda a leitura de amanhã é ainda o discurso de Eliú. Estou falando sobre o quanto ele foi inconveniente porque, mais na frente, você verá que Deus repreendeu a todos que estavam falando, menos Jó.
Existem momentos que quanto você mais fala, pior fica. Quando vai a um funeral, por exemplo, onde a morte foi chocante, trágica, inesperada e aí se encontra com o enlutado descontroladamente chorando. Na maioria dos casos, quase que qualquer coisa que você falar vai ser besteira. Nessas horas, o melhor a fazer é estar presente. O que a pessoa precisa é saber que você está ao lado dela. Mais nada. É como se relacionar ou visitar alguém com depressão profunda. O depressivo precisa de muitas coisas, menos de sermão. E assim era com Jó. Ele não precisava de sermão. Ele precisava de abraço, compreensão, empatia.
Até aqui, tenho malhado muito as falas dos amigos de Jó, mas elas não são de todo maléficas. Há coisas que Eliú diz na leitura de hoje, que tanto era verdade naquela época quanto ainda é válido hoje em dia. O conceito está certo, o problema era o modo ou hora de falar. Nem toda verdade precisa ser dita. Nessas horas, percebemos que a sabedoria é muito mais importante que o conhecimento. De que adianta ter a informação certa, mas não saber usá-la?
Hoje, você está em mais vantagem que Jó, porque pode absorver as palavras de Eliú e separar o que é verdade. E como fazer isso? É simples: cada afirmação que você aprender de novo com as palavras dele, coloque em comparação com o que a Bíblia, como um todo, pensa sobre o assunto. Se o que ele tiver dito estiver de acordo com o restante do pensamento bíblico, tudo bem. Se for o contrário, então terá dito besteira. Enxugando assim, você vai evitar o blá-blá-blá.
