The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath sent him from Ramah, in his taking him -- and he a prisoner in chains -- in the midst of all the removal of Jerusalem and of Judah, who are removed to Babylon.

and Jehovah bringeth [it] in, and doth as He spake, because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened to His voice, even this thing hath been to you.

`And now, lo, I have loosed thee to-day from the chains that [are] on thy hand; if good in thine eyes to come with me [to] Babylon, come, and I keep mine eye upon thee: and if evil in thine eyes to come with me to Babylon, forbear; see, all the land [is] before thee, whither [it be] good, and whither [it be] right in thine eyes to go -- go.` --

and while he doth not reply -- `Or turn back unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him in the midst of the people, or whithersoever it is right in thine eyes to go -- go.` And the chief of the executioners giveth to him for the way, and a gift, and sendeth him away,

and Jeremiah cometh in unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and dwelleth with him, in the midst of the people who are left in the land.

And all the heads of the forces that [are] in the field hear, they and their men, that the king of Babylon hath appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam over the land, and that he hath charged him [with] men, and women, and infants, and of the poor of the land, of those who have not been removed to Babylon;

and they come in unto Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan sons of Kareah, and Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah son of the Maachathite, they and their men.

And swear to them doth Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, and to their men, saying, `Be not afraid of serving the Chaldeans, abide in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it is well for you;

and I, lo, I am dwelling in Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who are come in unto us, and ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruit, and oil, and put in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.`

O ESPIRITISMO NÃO ESTÁ ESCRITO
Deuteronômio 18-20
O programa de televisão “Está Escrito”, veiculado na TV Bandeirantes, é um programa cristão evangélico, que acredita no que está escrito na Bíblia, conforme a interpretação bíblica correta. Certa vez, o programa se deparou com algo interessante: o espiritismo, cujo manual cardecista parece ser uma explicação da Bíblia, principalmente do texto evangélico. Isso aconteceu em uma entrevista que a equipe de produção e o apresentador fizeram a um ex-espírita, o Dr. Maurício Braga, que se converteu à fé bíblica.
Os entrevistadores questionaram ao advogado: “A que conclusões você chegou depois de haver comparado a Bíblia com a doutrina espírita?”
Essa pergunta mexe, de maneira muito séria, com o quarto pilar do espiritismo. O homem, que havia tido 16 anos de experiência com o espiritismo, respondeu: “Para o espiritismo, os médiuns são fundamentais, pois são os intermediários entre o plano espiritual, Deus e o homem. Então eu pensei: A Bíblia tem que falar alguma coisa sobre os médiuns, porque ela é um instrumento de consolo, de comunicação com Deus (ver Deuteronômio 18:10-14). Então, encontrei em Isaías, capítulo 8, uma afirmação muito forte: ‘Algumas pessoas vão pedir que vocês consultem os adivinhos e os médiuns, que cochicham e falam baixinho. Essas pessoas dirão: precisamos receber mensagens dos espíritos, precisamos consultar os mortos em favor dos vivos! Mas vocês respondam assim: O que devemos fazer é consultar a lei e aos ensinamentos de Deus. O que os médiuns dizem não tem nenhum valor.’ (versos 19 e 20 – NTLH).”
É impressionante como os falsos enganos que tentam nos desviar dos caminhos de Deus sempre existiram. Essa passagem que Maurício Braga citou, está na leitura de hoje. Nesse contexto, a preocupação bíblica é nos desviar do mal. Ela inicia falando dos embaixadores de Deus, faz a advertência contra os feiticeiros e os adivinhos, e já deixa bem claro que o povo de Deus poderia confiar nas promessas do grande profeta.
O texto termina falando de guerra. O resumo desse assunto é: vivemos em meio a um grande conflito cósmico, entre o bem e o mal. Nessa batalha, só temos como nos salvar se nos apegarmos ao grande profeta que é Jesus e ao que Ele deixou para nós, a Bíblia. O resto é balela.
Portanto, estude, questione, pesquise, vá a fundo, não dê ouvidos a qualquer doutrina espúria. Ore, ande na companhia de Jesus e veja se tudo o que for apresentado para você está conforme a Bíblia. Se estiver, pode seguir que dará certo. É por isso que, todos os dias, procuro chamar sua atenção para você fazer sua leitura bíblica. Meu desejo é ver você muito feliz!
