The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath sent him from Ramah, in his taking him -- and he a prisoner in chains -- in the midst of all the removal of Jerusalem and of Judah, who are removed to Babylon.

And the chief of the executioners taketh Jeremiah, and saith unto him, `Jehovah thy God hath spoken this evil concerning this place,

and Jehovah bringeth [it] in, and doth as He spake, because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened to His voice, even this thing hath been to you.

`And now, lo, I have loosed thee to-day from the chains that [are] on thy hand; if good in thine eyes to come with me [to] Babylon, come, and I keep mine eye upon thee: and if evil in thine eyes to come with me to Babylon, forbear; see, all the land [is] before thee, whither [it be] good, and whither [it be] right in thine eyes to go -- go.` --

and while he doth not reply -- `Or turn back unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him in the midst of the people, or whithersoever it is right in thine eyes to go -- go.` And the chief of the executioners giveth to him for the way, and a gift, and sendeth him away,

and Jeremiah cometh in unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and dwelleth with him, in the midst of the people who are left in the land.

And all the heads of the forces that [are] in the field hear, they and their men, that the king of Babylon hath appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam over the land, and that he hath charged him [with] men, and women, and infants, and of the poor of the land, of those who have not been removed to Babylon;

and they come in unto Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan sons of Kareah, and Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah son of the Maachathite, they and their men.

And swear to them doth Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, and to their men, saying, `Be not afraid of serving the Chaldeans, abide in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it is well for you;

and I, lo, I am dwelling in Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who are come in unto us, and ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruit, and oil, and put in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.`

ESTRESSE X LOUVOR
Êxodo 14-15
Tensão, preocupação, ansiedade, estresse, desespero... Já passou por isso? Era exatamente isso que o povo de Israel estava passando, na praia do Mar Vermelho, quando se viram sem saída. O que fazer?
Clamar! Alguns clamaram pelo desespero. Outros blasfemaram. Mas Moisés e mais alguns clamaram a Deus. E quando Deus opera, Ele espera que o ser humano faça sua parte. E eles fizeram. Pisaram no território do mar dividido, com as cargas nas costas, ajudando uns aos outros e entraram mar a dentro.
Aquela era uma experiência absolutamente diferente, única, milagrosa e singular. Já imaginou presenciar um vento violento tão bem coordenado ao ponto de abrir um caminho por entre as águas? Eles viram isso, fizeram sua parte, indo ao outro lado do mar e foram salvos! É interessante que depois que fazemos nossa parte, trabalhando com Deus, e vendo o que Deus pode fazer na nossa vida, nossa reação natural é louvar a Deus. No relato bíblico de hoje, vemos a principal música de louvor a Deus de toda a Bíblia. O maior louvor cantado de todos os tempos.
Você sabe que louvar não é só cantar, né? Mas aqui, refiro-me ao louvor cantado. A palavra louvor significa, segundo o dicionário: “aplauso, elogio, encômio. Apologia de uma obra meritória”. Mas principalmente elogio e aplauso. Isso é louvor, que é o contrário de “censura e crítica”. Quando pensamos dessa forma, chegamos à conclusão de que o louvor pode ser dirigido a pessoas, instituições, ideologias, objetos, lugares, etc., através de elogios, aplausos, cânticos, falas poéticas, apologéticas, informais. Quando cantamos o Hino Nacional Brasileiro, estamos louvando o Brasil. A Bíblia também entende louvor de todas essas formas.
Diariamente, estamos louvando muitas coisas ao nosso redor. Quando louvamos a Deus, estamos admirando os atributos do Seu caráter: fidelidade, bondade, amor, justiça, misericórdia.
Nosso louvor a Deus pode acontecer de forma indireta. Podemos até elogiar seres diferentes de Deus, porém o mais alto louvor deve ser para Ele. Quando louvarmos diretamente a outros seres, se Deus estiver sendo honrado, pode ser indiretamente louvado. Tudo que mostra, aponta ou faz lembrar de Deus como Supremo, verbalmente ou não, está louvando-O. A própria Bíblia é um louvor a Deus, enquanto louva outras coisas também. Levando em consideração que o louvor pode existir nas formas direta e indireta, em tudo o que fazemos, deve caber o louvor a Deus, ainda que indireto. “Portanto, quer comais, quer bebais ou façais outra coisa qualquer, fazei tudo para a glória de Deus” (1Coríntios 10:31). Toda música que uso deve permitir que eu, direta ou indiretamente, louve a Deus. Faça isso! Louve como Moisés e seja feliz!
