The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath sent him from Ramah, in his taking him -- and he a prisoner in chains -- in the midst of all the removal of Jerusalem and of Judah, who are removed to Babylon.

And the chief of the executioners taketh Jeremiah, and saith unto him, `Jehovah thy God hath spoken this evil concerning this place,

and Jehovah bringeth [it] in, and doth as He spake, because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened to His voice, even this thing hath been to you.

`And now, lo, I have loosed thee to-day from the chains that [are] on thy hand; if good in thine eyes to come with me [to] Babylon, come, and I keep mine eye upon thee: and if evil in thine eyes to come with me to Babylon, forbear; see, all the land [is] before thee, whither [it be] good, and whither [it be] right in thine eyes to go -- go.` --

and while he doth not reply -- `Or turn back unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him in the midst of the people, or whithersoever it is right in thine eyes to go -- go.` And the chief of the executioners giveth to him for the way, and a gift, and sendeth him away,

and Jeremiah cometh in unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and dwelleth with him, in the midst of the people who are left in the land.

And all the heads of the forces that [are] in the field hear, they and their men, that the king of Babylon hath appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam over the land, and that he hath charged him [with] men, and women, and infants, and of the poor of the land, of those who have not been removed to Babylon;

and they come in unto Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan sons of Kareah, and Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah son of the Maachathite, they and their men.

And swear to them doth Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, and to their men, saying, `Be not afraid of serving the Chaldeans, abide in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it is well for you;

and I, lo, I am dwelling in Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who are come in unto us, and ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruit, and oil, and put in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.`

ESCOLA PORTO SEGURO
Êxodo 01-04
Há muitas pessoas que saem das grandes cidades para ir morar no interior, buscando mais tranqüilidade e uma qualidade de vida melhor. Mas aí vem o problema: no interior, não se encontra tudo que precisa. É claro, nos grandes centros têm mais recursos. Tem de tudo: tudo de bom e tudo que não presta também. Muita gente migra para o interior para livra-se do que não é bom. Elas procuram encontrar um verdadeiro refúgio.
Isso me lembra Garopaba, uma cidade turística, de lindas praias, no sul do Brasil, conhecida, pelo menos por nome, por muita gente. Além do turismo, ela tem essa característica de muitas pessoas buscarem qualidade de vida ao mudar para lá. Quando chegam, vem a grande questão: e agora, onde vamos matricular nossos filhos? Aqui não tem aquelas grandes redes de escola que tínhamos na cidade grande.
Aí vem algo fantástico que encontrei em Garopaba. Conheci pessoas que mudaram para lá por missão. O ministério deles é fundar, ali no interior, uma escola com alta qualidade de ensino, com alta qualidade de padrões morais, com alta qualidade de tudo o que uma escola precisa, para que os pais fiquem tranqüilos ao deixar seus filhos nela. O mais interessante é que o nome da escola é Porto Seguro, um símbolo de que, mesmo no meio das dificuldades da vida, mesmo nos desertos deste mundo, ainda podemos procurar, fazer, criar, encontrar “portos seguros”, onde podemos preservar pelo desenvolvimento do nosso caráter.
A leitura bíblica conta a história de alguém que viveu isso muitas vezes e mostra qual foi o resultado. Esse alguém nasceu na megalópole, só que na periferia mais discriminada daquele colosso urbano. Sua mãe não se contentou com isso. Ela deu um jeito de enviá-lo para um lugar mais seguro. O sujeito da nossa história cresceu recebendo a maior educação secular do mundo, nos palácios do Egito. Mas, ao mesmo tempo, recebeu a maior formação religiosa do mundo no seu lar de origem. No academicismo do Egito, ele encontrou o “porto seguro” intelectual, e no colo de Joquebede, o “porto seguro” espiritual. Depois, precisou aprender na maior de todas as escolas: a escola da vida. Como andarilho do deserto, encontrou um “porto seguro” na casa de Jetro, onde aprendeu a viver bem em pleno deserto.
O resultado disso tudo é que ele voltou, capacitado pelas letras, pela religião e pela vida para ser o maior libertador de todos os tempos: simplesmente Moisés. É interessante que a maior capacitação que ele encontrou foi na sarça ardente.
Sem dúvida, o porto mais seguro que podemos encontrar é na presença de Deus. Experimente isso, você também!
