The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath sent him from Ramah, in his taking him -- and he a prisoner in chains -- in the midst of all the removal of Jerusalem and of Judah, who are removed to Babylon.

And the chief of the executioners taketh Jeremiah, and saith unto him, `Jehovah thy God hath spoken this evil concerning this place,

and Jehovah bringeth [it] in, and doth as He spake, because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened to His voice, even this thing hath been to you.

`And now, lo, I have loosed thee to-day from the chains that [are] on thy hand; if good in thine eyes to come with me [to] Babylon, come, and I keep mine eye upon thee: and if evil in thine eyes to come with me to Babylon, forbear; see, all the land [is] before thee, whither [it be] good, and whither [it be] right in thine eyes to go -- go.` --

and while he doth not reply -- `Or turn back unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him in the midst of the people, or whithersoever it is right in thine eyes to go -- go.` And the chief of the executioners giveth to him for the way, and a gift, and sendeth him away,

and Jeremiah cometh in unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and dwelleth with him, in the midst of the people who are left in the land.

And all the heads of the forces that [are] in the field hear, they and their men, that the king of Babylon hath appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam over the land, and that he hath charged him [with] men, and women, and infants, and of the poor of the land, of those who have not been removed to Babylon;

and they come in unto Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan sons of Kareah, and Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah son of the Maachathite, they and their men.

And swear to them doth Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, and to their men, saying, `Be not afraid of serving the Chaldeans, abide in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it is well for you;

and I, lo, I am dwelling in Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who are come in unto us, and ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruit, and oil, and put in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.`

SALMOS 31-35
De que tipo de música você gosta? Já parou para pensar nos diferentes tipos de músicas que existem? Deus é riquíssimo em diversidade. Ele cria Seus seres nas mais distintas formas. E é interessante que as expressões desses seres também têm uma variedade enorme, inclusive as expressões dos mais profundos anseios da alma que são feitas através dos sons musicais alongados, constantes e intercalados.
Ao ler as músicas do livro de Salmos - que não são mais músicas, mas poemas - fico pensando sobre como deveria ser a melodia, a musicalidade dessas palavras. No Salmo 31, quando o salmista está angustiado, mas está buscando a Deus porque encontra segurança nEle, imagino uma melodia que transmita paz, mas, ao mesmo tempo, uma musicalidade forte, que traga segurança. Já no Salmo 32, penso que uma melodia bem legal seria aquele tipo de peça musical de vitória, como no final de um filme, uma trilha de conquista, algo do tipo, entende? Agora, o Salmo 33 é uma pra cima, “up”, alegre, louvorzão animado mesmo. “Cantem de alegria”; “A minha esperança está no Senhor”. Muito júbilo! Os Salmos 34 e 35 são mais complexos. São dramas que, viajando com suas letras, passam por diferentes situações de tensão, estresse, vitória, batalha, exultação, alegria e tantas outras coisas. É aquele tipo de música que traz um misto de sentimentos, faz chorar, fechar os olhos e depois sorrir, dá um suspense e termina bem. Tem que ser artista para fazer isso. E Davi era!
Nos dias atuais, a variação musical é maior ainda. Diante de tanta diferença de gostos e formações culturais geradas pela transculturação interna dentro da nossa sociedade brasileira e aldeia global, nossos músicos precisam ter flexibilidade e bom senso muito grandes para produzir músicas. A necessidade de variação, de músicas que se adéquem aos mais diferentes contextos de adoração que existem é muito grande. Como esse leque é bem extenso, poderá até existir pontos incompatíveis, como músicas que sirvam para adoração em um contexto e em outro não.
Mais que nunca, necessitamos de sabedoria para escolher a melhor música para nosso contexto, nosso culto, nossa adoração, nossa realidade. Os músicos fazem canções de muitos tipos para servir a todos os contextos. Compor, segundo Paulo, é uma forma de profetizar. Então, ao selecionar as músicas que forem se encaixar melhor para sua realidade, siga o conselho do apóstolo em relação à profecias, aplicando-os à musicalidade da sua comunidade cristã e experiência pessoal. Como ensina 1Tessalonicenses 5:51, julgue todas as coisas e retenha o que for aproveitável para você.
Não esqueça de que a melhor música é aquela que lhe aproxima de Jesus!
