And it cometh to pass, in the seventh month, come hath Ishmael son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and of the chiefs of the king, and ten men with him, unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and they eat there bread together in Mizpah.

And Ishmael son of Nethaniah riseth, and the ten men who have been with him, and they smite Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, with the sword, and he putteth him to death whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the land.

And all the Jews who have been with him, with Gedaliah, in Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who have been found there -- the men of war -- hath Ishmael smitten.

that men come in from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria -- eighty men -- with shaven beards, and rent garments, and cutting themselves, and an offering and frankincense in their hand, to bring in to the house of Jehovah.

And Ishmael son of Nethaniah goeth forth to meet them, from Mizpah, going on and weeping, and it cometh to pass, at meeting them, that he saith unto them, `Come in unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam.`

And it cometh to pass, at their coming in unto the midst of the city, that Ishmael son of Nethaniah doth slaughter them, at the midst of the pit, he and the men who [are] with him.

And ten men have been found among them, and they say unto Ishmael, `Do not put us to death, for we have things hidden in the field -- wheat, and barley, and oil, and honey.` And he forbeareth, and hath not put them to death in the midst of their brethren.

And the pit whither Ishmael hath cast all the carcases of the men whom he hath smitten along with Gedaliah, is that which the king Asa made because of Baasha king of Israel -- it hath Ishmael son of Nethaniah filled with the pierced.

And Ishmael taketh captive all the remnant of the people who [are] in Mizpah, the daughters of the king, and all the people who are left in Mizpah, whom Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath committed [to] Gedaliah son of Ahikam, and Ishmael son of Nethaniah taketh them captive, and goeth to pass over unto the sons of Ammon.

Ezequiel 18-20
Hoje, é o dia do repórter fotográfico. E isso, pra nós que trabalhamos com comunicação, é muito importante. Porque é na fotografia de imprensa, um braço da fotografia documental, que se dá um grande papel da fotografia de informação, o fotojornalismo. É no fotojornalismo que a fotografia pode exibir toda a sua capacidade de transmitir informações. E essas informações podem ser passadas, com beleza, pelo simples enquadramento que o fotógrafo tem a possibilidade de fazer. Nada acontece nas comunicações impressas sem o endosso da fotografia. Então, é por isso que o fotojornalismo preenche uma função bem determinada e tem características próprias. E, nessa arte do repórter fotográfico, o item fundamental é o impacto; o elemento imprescindível é a informação. Portanto, a todos que conseguem fazer com que as imagens fotográficas, de forma impactante e silenciosa, transmitam informações relevantes, comunicativas, documentativas, belas e aproveitáveis ao benefício da sociedade e da humanidade, meus sinceros parabéns.
Existem muitos espaços gráficos que são compostos apenas de letras, linhas e parágrafos. Tem livros que são assim, sem nem uma gravura, nem uma ilustração visual. Destes textos, você precisa criar, mentalmente, os quadros. Isto é inevitável. Ao ler, você vai imaginando as cenas, as imagens, os retratos. E nisso a palavra escrita apresenta um tipo de poder maior que o do cinema, que é a transmissão simultânea de diferentes “imagens” procedidas do conceito interpretativo de cada pessoa.
Há outros espaços gráficos que são compostos praticamente apenas de imagens e quadros. Tipo um perfil de Orkut sem nenhum comentário, mas cheio de fotos. Como uma sala de museu de artes plásticas, sem legendas. Nestes lugares, você aprecia, admira, imagina e forma opiniões. Espaços assim também têm um tipo de poder maior que o de grandes enciclopédias e bibliotecas, que é a transmissão simultânea de diferentes “conceitos”, procedidos do que cada pessoa interpreta na visualização das imagens.
E existe ainda outro espaço que não é nem apenas um e nem outro dos dois citados nos dois parágrafos acima. Abra sua Bíblia em Ezequiel 18-20, e bem vindo a esta biblio-galeria; galera de Bíblia na mão é gente que pode sublimar em princípios e valores. A princípio, a Bíblia parece ser um tipo de espaço gráfico que citei no segundo parágrafo deste texto. Mas não é, pois a vontade de Deus é que, enquanto você estiver lendo, você não forme qualquer quadro em sua mente, mas sim, que você imagine o correto. Por outro lado, a leitura bíblica não pode nos trazer o pluralismo, mas sim, levar-nos à absoluta verdade.
Antes de fazer a leitura de hoje, peça que o Espírito Santo ajude-lhe a, realmente, “ver”.
