And it cometh to pass, in the seventh month, come hath Ishmael son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and of the chiefs of the king, and ten men with him, unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and they eat there bread together in Mizpah.

And Ishmael son of Nethaniah riseth, and the ten men who have been with him, and they smite Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, with the sword, and he putteth him to death whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the land.

And all the Jews who have been with him, with Gedaliah, in Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who have been found there -- the men of war -- hath Ishmael smitten.

that men come in from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria -- eighty men -- with shaven beards, and rent garments, and cutting themselves, and an offering and frankincense in their hand, to bring in to the house of Jehovah.

And Ishmael son of Nethaniah goeth forth to meet them, from Mizpah, going on and weeping, and it cometh to pass, at meeting them, that he saith unto them, `Come in unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam.`

And it cometh to pass, at their coming in unto the midst of the city, that Ishmael son of Nethaniah doth slaughter them, at the midst of the pit, he and the men who [are] with him.

And ten men have been found among them, and they say unto Ishmael, `Do not put us to death, for we have things hidden in the field -- wheat, and barley, and oil, and honey.` And he forbeareth, and hath not put them to death in the midst of their brethren.

And the pit whither Ishmael hath cast all the carcases of the men whom he hath smitten along with Gedaliah, is that which the king Asa made because of Baasha king of Israel -- it hath Ishmael son of Nethaniah filled with the pierced.

And Ishmael taketh captive all the remnant of the people who [are] in Mizpah, the daughters of the king, and all the people who are left in Mizpah, whom Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath committed [to] Gedaliah son of Ahikam, and Ishmael son of Nethaniah taketh them captive, and goeth to pass over unto the sons of Ammon.

O MEU VIOLÃOZINHO
1Crônicas 13-16
Ontem, comentei um pouquinho sobre um aspecto da depressão. Na realidade, a depressão é uma tristeza crônica que se transformou num quadro clínico, patológico, onde a saúde fica carente de tratamento médico. Mas podemos fugir da depressão se agirmos como Davi.
Imagine um dia corrido. Tentarei descrever um dos meus dias de rotina, que acontece sempre.
Levanto bem cedo e procuro a presença de Deus. Aí entra 1Crônicas 13, cujo título na minha Bíblia é “O Retorno da Arca”. É meu primeiro momento do dia: o retorno da presença de Deus para minha vida, ou melhor, meu retorno para Deus.
Daí, faço muitas caminhadas dentro de casa, me organizando e interagindo com minha família. Agora, relaciono com 1Crônicas 14, cujo título é “O Palácio e a Família de Davi”. Como no último versículo, minha família se espalha para a correria do dia-a-dia. Muitas idas e vindas...
1Crônicas 15: trabalhando para Deus, em nome de Deus, com Deus, por Deus, interagindo com pessoas, passando por algumas decepções de relacionamentos, participando de nomeações, ouvindo barulho... Ufa! E o dia termina, no auge da correria do estresse. Volto para casa. Final do capítulo 15, começo do 16. Ligo o som e vou ouvindo.
1Crônicas 16: chego em casa e pego meu violão. Vou tocar alguma coisa.
Aí, lembro de uma música de Chitãozinho e Xororó, que diz: “O grande Mestre do céu, nosso Criador, quando nascemos um dom nos dá. E cada um segue a vida, o seu destino... E ...nós nascemos só pra cantar...” Deus nos fez para cantar! “Quem canta, os males espanta!” diz a música. E essa música simples nos ensina uma grande lição, quando diz: “a gente é feliz”. Sim! Quando cantamos, mandamos a tristeza para o ar, igual Davi fazia, “...tal qual um pássaro livre no ar. Pensando bem nós temos algo em comum, porque nascemos só pra cantar.” Esses cantores seguem “dizendo/cantando” que cantam em qualquer hora e lugar.
É pensando no propósito do Criador, que vejo o exemplo de Davi nesse salmo que ele escreveu e está na leitura de hoje. Embora estejamos lendo o livro de Crônicas, no fim da história bíblica, tem um salmo. A música, o louvor a Deus, não deve ser deixado só para certos momentos. Ela deve fazer parte de tudo e o louvor deve preencher todo o nosso viver. Esse era o segredo de Davi. Ele tinha uma vida agitada, corrida, estressante, mas conseguia sobreviver a isso louvando a Deus. Por isso, quando chegar em casa, vou pegar, de novo, meu violãozinho.
