And it cometh to pass, in the seventh month, come hath Ishmael son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and of the chiefs of the king, and ten men with him, unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and they eat there bread together in Mizpah.

And Ishmael son of Nethaniah riseth, and the ten men who have been with him, and they smite Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, with the sword, and he putteth him to death whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the land.

And all the Jews who have been with him, with Gedaliah, in Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who have been found there -- the men of war -- hath Ishmael smitten.

that men come in from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria -- eighty men -- with shaven beards, and rent garments, and cutting themselves, and an offering and frankincense in their hand, to bring in to the house of Jehovah.

And Ishmael son of Nethaniah goeth forth to meet them, from Mizpah, going on and weeping, and it cometh to pass, at meeting them, that he saith unto them, `Come in unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam.`

And it cometh to pass, at their coming in unto the midst of the city, that Ishmael son of Nethaniah doth slaughter them, at the midst of the pit, he and the men who [are] with him.

And ten men have been found among them, and they say unto Ishmael, `Do not put us to death, for we have things hidden in the field -- wheat, and barley, and oil, and honey.` And he forbeareth, and hath not put them to death in the midst of their brethren.

And the pit whither Ishmael hath cast all the carcases of the men whom he hath smitten along with Gedaliah, is that which the king Asa made because of Baasha king of Israel -- it hath Ishmael son of Nethaniah filled with the pierced.

And Ishmael taketh captive all the remnant of the people who [are] in Mizpah, the daughters of the king, and all the people who are left in Mizpah, whom Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath committed [to] Gedaliah son of Ahikam, and Ishmael son of Nethaniah taketh them captive, and goeth to pass over unto the sons of Ammon.

Ao fazer sua leitura de hoje, você irá se deparar com assuntos variados, mas que são muito importantes. Então, o que teríamos para destacar dos capítulos 22-24 de 2Samuel?
Quanto ao capítulo 22, não vou comentar muito sobre ele porque trata de música. E música não se discute, música se canta. Já se deparou com aquele tipo de gente que gosta de ficar fazendo confusão num copo d’água, aí pega as músicas religiosas, gospel, músicas boas (a hinódia que fala de Jesus) para querer separar, segundo o gosto pessoal, é óbvio, as músicas que seriam supostamente boas das que seriam supostamente ruins? Existem pessoas que, com esse tipo de julgamento, malham as supostas músicas ruins, dizendo que se trata de uma discussão teológica! Mas quem disse que a Bíblia se preocupa com isso? Ela coloca a música em suas páginas e pronto; não fica discutindo se determinado estilo musical seria ruim ou não. Afinal, por ser uma questão de cultura, legenda e cultura, música é igual nariz - cada um tem o seu. E o que se faz com um nariz? Usa-se para respirar! Então, mergulhe nessa letra poética linda de Davi, porque música não se discute, se usa.
Sobre o capítulo 23, também não tenho muito o que comentar. Nele, encontramos as últimas palavras de Davi. E olha, se alguém como Davi disse tantas palavras boas, imagine o que podemos encontrar de proveitoso nas suas últimas memoráreis e mais importantes palavras. Só coisas boas, de forma superior. É de alto nível - do destino que encontram aqueles que dedicam sua vida a trabalhar para Deus como Davi o fez. Já imaginou você poder olhar para sua vida como um todo e poder dizer como ele: “A minha casa está de bem com Deus. Ele fez uma aliança eterna comigo, firmada e garantida em todos os aspectos.” Quer participar dessa benção? Entregue-se a Deus, como Davi fez, com a vida dele. Desfrute de um relacionamento cheio de significado e das maravilhas que Ele dá.
Do último capítulo, creio que o maior destaque é ver que esse livro fecha com chave de ouro, na adoração a Deus, tendo, como último ato, a construção de um altar de adoração para o Senhor. Portanto, a Deus seja toda honra e glória!
O que eu desejo a você é que sua vida seja uma entrega, uma oferta de cheiro suave ao Senhor Jeová. No final das contas, o seu viver vai durar eternamente no sentido de continuar sendo um testemunho cristão que poderá levar muitas outras pessoas para Cristo, no sentido último e mais importante de honrar o nome dEle.
