The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, after that Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him, being bound in chains, among all the captivity of Jerusalem and Judah, that were carried away captive to Babylon.

And the captain of the body-guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, Jehovah thy God pronounced this evil upon this place,

and Jehovah hath brought [it about] and done according as he said; for ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened unto his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains that are upon thy hand. If it seem good in thy sight to come with me to Babylon, come, and I will keep mine eye upon thee; but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me to Babylon, forbear. See, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and right in thy sight to go, thither go.

And while he had not yet given answer; [he said,] Yea, go back to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the cities of Judah, and abide with him in the midst of the people; or go wheresoever it seemeth right in thy sight to go. And the captain of the body-guard gave him provisions and a present, and let him go.

And Jeremiah came unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and abode with him among the people that remained in the land.

And all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam over the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that had not been carried away captive to Babylon.

And they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah; even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

And as for me, behold, I dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans, who will come unto us; and ye, gather wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put [them] in your vessels, and dwell in your cities which ye have taken.

EQUÍVOCOS DE BILDADE

Ao ler os capítulos do livro de Jó, penso que quando ocorre esse tipo de coisas que não conseguimos explicar, muitas vezes temos a tendência de colocar a culpa em alguém ou alguma coisa ao invés de buscar entender o “X” da questão. Por vezes, buscamos o entendimento, só que o problema é a fonte de informação à qual as pessoas procuram e que pode ser duvidosa. Se acontece assim, as informações adquiridas prejudicam mais que ajudam, justamente porque só serão verdadeiras até certo ponto. Portanto, na “hora do aperto”, algo que precisamos fazer é checar direitinho para ver se estamos bem conectados e sintonizados com a mente de Deus, de acordo com o que Ele já revelou na Sua Santa Palavra, a Bíblia.
Na leitura de hoje, há alguém que estava confundido pela tradição. Seu nome: Bildade. Ele aparece no capítulo oito para participar dos debates. Na primeira rodada da discussão de Jó com seus amigos, o primeiro a dar uma resposta para as declarações de Jó tinha sido Elifaz. Ele disse besteira. Jó, no entanto, não deixou por menos e logo em seguida deu-lhe uma resposta. Ou melhor, um discurso. Um segundo discurso foi seguido pela entrada na discussão desse outro amigo que estou comentando.
Mas quem era esse amigo? Trazendo um pouco de curiosidade bíblica, para você entender de onde ele veio, sugiro que leia Gênesis 25:1, onde mostra que Abraão, depois que Sara morreu, casou-se com Quetura. Essa segunda mulher teve seis filhos com o patriarca. Um deles se chamava Sua. Desse filhos, descenderam os suítas, de onde saiu Bildade. Então, esse “amigo” de Jó também era descendente de Abraão, mas não tinha nada a ver com o povo de Israel, que é o povo da Bíblia. Ele fazia parte daquele povo, daqueles filhos que Abraão tinha mandado embora de perto dele para a terra oriental.
Desde aquela época, os suítas viveram perto do rio Eufrates. Deles, nasceu Bildade que, por já estar longe do povo de Deus a um bom tempo, compartilhava daqueles conceitos errados dos seus companheiros. Era por isso, também, que tinha dificuldade de ser empático com Jó. Ele insistia numa teologia incompleta, que era mantida pela tradição.
O resumo é que tanto da parte de Jó, como dos seus amigos, percebemos a manifestação de uma confusão na compreensão sobre como Deus lida com os seres humanos. Confusão esta que não ajuda em nada na questão do sofrimento. Então, aprendemos que vale muito mais uma pura amizade com Jesus, que esteja embasada num profundo conhecimento bíblico, para nos ajudar a encontrar as respostas para os nossos anseios do coração.
