|Esdras 3:1|
And the seventh month cometh, and the sons of Israel [are] in the cities, and the people are gathered, as one men, unto Jerusalem.

|Esdras 3:2|
And rise doth Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and they build the altar of the God of Israel, to cause to ascend upon it burnt-offerings, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.

|Esdras 3:3|
And they establish the altar on its bases, because of the fear upon them of the peoples of the lands, and he causeth burnt-offerings to ascend upon it to Jehovah, burnt-offerings for the morning and for the evening.

|Esdras 3:4|
And they make the feast of the booths as it is written, and the burnt-offering of the day daily in number according to the ordinance, the matter of a day in its day;

|Esdras 3:5|
and after this a continual burnt-offering, and for new moons, and for all appointed seasons of Jehovah that are sanctified; and for every one who is willingly offering a willing-offering to Jehovah.

From the first day of the seventh month they have begun to cause burnt-offerings to ascend to Jehovah, and the temple of Jehovah hath not been founded,

and they give money to hewers and to artificers, and food, and drink, and oil to Zidonians and to Tyrians, to bring in cedar-trees from Lebanon unto the sea of Joppa, according to the permission of Cyrus king of Persia concerning them.

|Esdras 3:8|
And in the second year of their coming in unto the house of God, to Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all those coming from the captivity to Jerusalem, and they appoint the Levites from a son of twenty years and upward, to overlook the work of the house of Jehovah.

And Jeshua standeth, [and] his sons, and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, sons of Judah together, to overlook those doing the work in the house of God; the sons of Henadad, [and] their sons and their brethren the Levites.

And those building have founded the temple of Jehovah, and they appoint the priests, clothed, with trumpets, and the Levites, sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise Jehovah, by means of [the instruments of] David king of Israel.

QUEM É O DONO DO PEDAÇO?
Deuteronômio 08-10
Você tem dado duro para se manter na vida? Jogou pesado para chegar onde chegou? As coisas que você tem custaram caro para você? É assim que você pensa? Então, leia o que a Bíblia diz sobre isso: “Não digam, pois, em seu coração: a minha capacidade e a força das minhas mãos ajuntaram para mim toda esta riqueza. Mas lembrem-se do Senhor, o seu Deus, pois é ele que lhes dá a capacidade de produzir riqueza, confirmando a aliança que jurou aos seus antepassados, conforme hoje se vê.”
Essa visão bíblica é diferente do modo que estamos acostumados a pensar. Perceba que, em toda a leitura de hoje, Deus não olha para nós como se fôssemos donos do próprio nariz. Constantemente, Ele chama a atenção para que nos lembremos dos benefícios que Ele nos dá, do Seu socorro e também deixa claro sobre o que pode acontecer se formos infiéis. Se perdermos a lei de vista, Ele faz questão de recolocá-la para nós, tanto para nos chamar na retranca, para nossa vocação, quanto para nos exortar à obediência.
Na realidade, sua vida aqui neste mundo, é simplesmente uma incumbência de confiança. Em outras palavras, o tempo que temos de vida aqui na Terra, a nossa energia, a inteligência que temos, as oportunidades e os recursos, são simplesmente dádivas que Deus entrega para cuidarmos e administrarmos. Nessa história, você é um mordomo daquilo que Deus vai dando para você. No Salmo 24:1, não lemos que ao Senhor pertencem o mundo e tudo o que nele existe? Afinal, a Terra e todos os seres vivos que nela vivem são dEle.
Isso nos deixa na seguinte situação: na realidade, nunca seremos donos de coisa nenhuma, durante esse curto espaço de tempo de vida aqui neste planeta. Durante esta vida, o que acontece é que o Senhor nos empresta a Terra, enquanto estamos por aqui. Não é lógico? Pense bem: a Terra, na realidade, já existia e já era propriedade de Deus antes que chegássemos a ela, certo? Depois que morremos, não levamos nada, e Deus continuará emprestando a Terra e esses recursos para as outras pessoas que vierem depois de nós. Portanto, tudo o que podemos fazer é desfrutar desses recursos e deste planeta por um curto período de tempo de, talvez, 80 anos. Então, não temos do que ficar nos gabando. Lembre-se do verso que está na leitura de hoje: “Não digam, pois, em seu coração: a minha capacidade e a forca das minhas mãos ajuntaram para mim toda esta riqueza. Mas lembrem-se do seu Deus, pois é ele que lhes dá a capacidade.”
