|Esdras 3:1|
And the seventh month cometh, and the sons of Israel [are] in the cities, and the people are gathered, as one men, unto Jerusalem.

|Esdras 3:2|
And rise doth Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and they build the altar of the God of Israel, to cause to ascend upon it burnt-offerings, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.

|Esdras 3:3|
And they establish the altar on its bases, because of the fear upon them of the peoples of the lands, and he causeth burnt-offerings to ascend upon it to Jehovah, burnt-offerings for the morning and for the evening.

|Esdras 3:4|
And they make the feast of the booths as it is written, and the burnt-offering of the day daily in number according to the ordinance, the matter of a day in its day;

|Esdras 3:5|
and after this a continual burnt-offering, and for new moons, and for all appointed seasons of Jehovah that are sanctified; and for every one who is willingly offering a willing-offering to Jehovah.

From the first day of the seventh month they have begun to cause burnt-offerings to ascend to Jehovah, and the temple of Jehovah hath not been founded,

and they give money to hewers and to artificers, and food, and drink, and oil to Zidonians and to Tyrians, to bring in cedar-trees from Lebanon unto the sea of Joppa, according to the permission of Cyrus king of Persia concerning them.

And in the second year of their coming in unto the house of God, to Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all those coming from the captivity to Jerusalem, and they appoint the Levites from a son of twenty years and upward, to overlook the work of the house of Jehovah.

And Jeshua standeth, [and] his sons, and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, sons of Judah together, to overlook those doing the work in the house of God; the sons of Henadad, [and] their sons and their brethren the Levites.

And those building have founded the temple of Jehovah, and they appoint the priests, clothed, with trumpets, and the Levites, sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise Jehovah, by means of [the instruments of] David king of Israel.

UM ENSINO MUITO PRECIOSO
JÓ 11-14
Em qualquer parte da Bíblia que você ler, pode tirar alguma gema preciosa, algo que pode ser aplicado na sua vida espiritual e outras áreas da vida. Então, não aceito a desculpa de que você não entra no programa de leitura bíblica porque existem partes difíceis, que parece que não dá para sacar nada de interessante. Alguns argumentam que é difícil, mas difícil é a situação de desvantagem e prejuízo por não ler a Bíblia como um todo.
Para provar como dá para extrair uma pérola de qualquer parte da Palavra de Deus, farei um destaque só da leitura bíblica de hoje que, para variar, é um daqueles trechos que muita gente arranja um monte de argumentos para não lê-los.
Veja o que está escrito em Jó 14:10-12: “Mas o homem morre, e morto permanece; dá o último suspiro e deixa de existir. Assim como a água do mar evapora e o leito do rio perde as águas e seca, assim o homem se deita e não se levanta; até quando os céus já não existirem, os homens não acordarão e não serão despertados do seu sono.”
Isso nos ensina sobre a doutrina bíblica da mortalidade da alma ou da imortalidade condicional da alma. Enquanto quase todo o mundo acredita que quem morreu não morreu, mas está vagando em algum lugar, na Bíblia não existe essa história de alma penada. Morreu, morreu! E ponto final até no dia da ressurreição. Aí, com a ressurreição, é outra história.
Na realidade, a resposta para a morte é a ressurreição, quando os justos receberão a imortalidade, em corpos recriados e perfeitos. A Bíblia ensina que não precisamos ficar admirados com isso, pois está chegando a hora em que todos os que estiverem nos túmulos ouvirão sua voz e sairão; os que fizeram o bem ressuscitarão para a vida, porque Deus tanto amou o mundo que deu o seu Filho Unigênito, para que todo o que nele crer não pereça, mas tenha a vida eterna. E os que fizeram o mal, ressuscitarão para ser condenados. Então, todos os que praticam a iniquidade serão destruídos para sempre.
A chance de escolher o destino eterno é só nesta vida e não sabemos quando ela termina. Que adianta ao homem ganhar o mundo inteiro e perder sua alma? Acontecerão somente duas ressurreições: a dos salvos e a dos perdidos. A primeira é a da glória; a segunda, a da vergonha. Quer fazer parte da primeira ressurreição? Encontrar um querido que se foi?
Você quer ter a vida eterna? Esta é a vida eterna: que conheçam o único Deus verdadeiro e a Cristo.
