|Esdras 3:1|
And the seventh month cometh, and the sons of Israel [are] in the cities, and the people are gathered, as one men, unto Jerusalem.

|Esdras 3:2|
And rise doth Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and they build the altar of the God of Israel, to cause to ascend upon it burnt-offerings, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.

|Esdras 3:3|
And they establish the altar on its bases, because of the fear upon them of the peoples of the lands, and he causeth burnt-offerings to ascend upon it to Jehovah, burnt-offerings for the morning and for the evening.

|Esdras 3:4|
And they make the feast of the booths as it is written, and the burnt-offering of the day daily in number according to the ordinance, the matter of a day in its day;

|Esdras 3:5|
and after this a continual burnt-offering, and for new moons, and for all appointed seasons of Jehovah that are sanctified; and for every one who is willingly offering a willing-offering to Jehovah.

From the first day of the seventh month they have begun to cause burnt-offerings to ascend to Jehovah, and the temple of Jehovah hath not been founded,

and they give money to hewers and to artificers, and food, and drink, and oil to Zidonians and to Tyrians, to bring in cedar-trees from Lebanon unto the sea of Joppa, according to the permission of Cyrus king of Persia concerning them.

And in the second year of their coming in unto the house of God, to Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all those coming from the captivity to Jerusalem, and they appoint the Levites from a son of twenty years and upward, to overlook the work of the house of Jehovah.

And Jeshua standeth, [and] his sons, and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, sons of Judah together, to overlook those doing the work in the house of God; the sons of Henadad, [and] their sons and their brethren the Levites.

And those building have founded the temple of Jehovah, and they appoint the priests, clothed, with trumpets, and the Levites, sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise Jehovah, by means of [the instruments of] David king of Israel.

NÃO PODERIA FALTAR A REGRA ÁUREA
Neemias 05-08
Em nosso comentário de hoje, quero destacar um ocorrido com os compatriotas de Neemias, que está descrito no capítulo 6 do seu livro. Na realidade, não era apenas um ocorrido, era um problemão.
Enquanto os israelitas estavam reconstruindo os muros de Jerusalém, surgiu a grave questão da opressão. Sabe como é, né? Os mais ricos se aproveitando dos mais pobres. Enquanto o rico ajuda o pobre, não está acontecendo nada mais que a obrigação social, na visão de que Deus deixou: mais recursos nas mãos de um que de outro justamente para aquele ajudar este. Quando passa disso para indiferença, cada um ficando na sua, e o rico não ajuda o pobre, não está acontecendo o que deveria acontecer, mas, muitas vezes, até que ainda dá para suportar.
Agora, quando o rico passa a sugar do mais pobre, fazendo-o sofrer só para se engordar cada vez mais, aí não dá para suportar. E era exatamente isso que estava acontecendo naquele contexto da leitura bíblica de hoje.
E o que isso tem a ver conosco? Talvez você pense: “Tudo bem, pastor. Sei que os Estados Unidos estão pecando e sendo injustos em enriquecer as nossas custas, nos explorando; sei que as multinacionais européias só sugam do Brasil para deixar a Europa mais rica enquanto ficamos mais pobres, mas o que posso fazer?” Às vezes, tendemos a pensar assim. É certo que não podemos mudar o mundo, mas podemos corrigir nossa conduta pessoal sobre esse assunto.
No livro “Southern Watchman”, encontrei o seguinte: “Os costumes do mundo não servem de critério para o cristão. Ele não deve imitar-lhe as práticas desonestas, as falcatruas e extorsões, mesmo que em pequenas questões. Todo ato injusto para com os semelhantes, embora sejam os mais vis pecadores, constitui uma violação da regra áurea. Toda injustiça aos filhos de Deus é efetuada contra o próprio Cristo na pessoa de Seus santos. Toda tentativa para tirar vantagens pessoais da ignorância, fraqueza ou infortúnio de outrem é registrada como fraude, nos livros do Céu.” Já pensou?
Na época de Neemias as transações financeiras injustas e opressivas ameaçavam o êxito do programa de construção e o bem-estar da nação. Essa experiência simplesmente realça o fato de que as nossas relações comerciais estão relacionadas com nossas crenças religiosas porque a moralidade e a religião precisam atuar juntas, na nossa vida, sempre. Seja nos seis dias da semana enquanto estamos trabalhando ou no sábado quando estamos adorando, sempre.
Lembre-se: A regra áurea deve servir de guia. Onde quer que for, faça aos outros o que gostaria que fizessem a você sempre. É A REGRA ÁUREA!
