And the seventh month cometh, and the sons of Israel [are] in the cities, and the people are gathered, as one men, unto Jerusalem.

|Esdras 3:2|
And rise doth Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and they build the altar of the God of Israel, to cause to ascend upon it burnt-offerings, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.

|Esdras 3:3|
And they establish the altar on its bases, because of the fear upon them of the peoples of the lands, and he causeth burnt-offerings to ascend upon it to Jehovah, burnt-offerings for the morning and for the evening.

|Esdras 3:4|
And they make the feast of the booths as it is written, and the burnt-offering of the day daily in number according to the ordinance, the matter of a day in its day;

|Esdras 3:5|
and after this a continual burnt-offering, and for new moons, and for all appointed seasons of Jehovah that are sanctified; and for every one who is willingly offering a willing-offering to Jehovah.

From the first day of the seventh month they have begun to cause burnt-offerings to ascend to Jehovah, and the temple of Jehovah hath not been founded,

and they give money to hewers and to artificers, and food, and drink, and oil to Zidonians and to Tyrians, to bring in cedar-trees from Lebanon unto the sea of Joppa, according to the permission of Cyrus king of Persia concerning them.

And in the second year of their coming in unto the house of God, to Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all those coming from the captivity to Jerusalem, and they appoint the Levites from a son of twenty years and upward, to overlook the work of the house of Jehovah.

And Jeshua standeth, [and] his sons, and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, sons of Judah together, to overlook those doing the work in the house of God; the sons of Henadad, [and] their sons and their brethren the Levites.

And those building have founded the temple of Jehovah, and they appoint the priests, clothed, with trumpets, and the Levites, sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise Jehovah, by means of [the instruments of] David king of Israel.

DALILA
Juízes 13-16
A casa de Dalila ficava junto à margem de um rio. Ela foi uma mulher que serviu como instrumento dos chefes dos filisteus para acabar com Sansão e sua missão.
Sansão é o herói de Deus. Sua aparição como libertador de Israel ainda é um mistério. Ele foi escolhido e preparado por Deus para este propósito de uma forma muito única. Mas Sansão, o herói, mostrou um defeito fatal: sucumbir-se facilmente aos encantos das mulheres. Uma mulher o subjugou e tirou vantagem de seu domínio sobre ele.
Mesmo antes de conhecer Dalila, em Gaza, Sansão viu uma prostituta e foi ter com ela. Os filisteus trancaram as portas da cidade porque o plano era atacar Sansão ao amanhecer. Mas, à meia noite, Sansão se levantou, e como diz a Bíblia, tomando as portas da cidade com os seus dois pilares e as suas trancas, colocou tudo sobre as costas e foi embora.
Depois disso, ele se apaixonou por essa mulher que morava no vale de Soreque e se chamava Dalila. Este nome até que parece soar gostoso aos nossos ouvidos, mas o que Sansão achou na casa daquela mulher foi a morte. Ela fingiu que o amava e o seduziu com a exigência de que, como prova do amor que ele deveria dar-lhe, em correspondência ao amor que ela já lhe dera, deveria dizer qual era o segredo de sua força. “Como é que você diz que me ama, enquanto o seu coração está longe de mim?”, esse era o seu argumento. E para escapar dessa, Sansão pregou-lhe mentiras três vezes. Sansão também não era fácil; colocava-a à prova e no final se saía bem, como um invencível. Até que o segredo não fosse revelado, é claro.
Mas Dalila foi tecendo uma teia infalível de engano e de sedução. A cada dia, ela o pressionava e importunava. Finalmente ela conseguiu fazer com que Sansão ficasse profundamente depressivo. Logo, enfraquecido pela doença emocional, ele revelou-lhe o segredo. E foi então, nessa ocasião, que Sansão foi reduzido à impotência nas mãos dos seus numerosos inimigos.
O que se destaca da conduta de Dalila é simplesmente o fato de que ela usou o atrativo feminino que ela tinha de forma ilegítima, com um propósito destruidor e homicida. E com certeza, qualquer mulher que finja amor e use suas armas femininas para realizar conquistas egoístas, está fazendo o jogo de Dalila. O encanto feminino e as atrações do carinho são dons de Deus. A mulher os recebeu do Criador. Entretanto, Deus castigará quem os use de um modo trivial ou frívolo, pois Ele os concedeu com propósitos muito mais elevados.
