The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah, that were carried away captive unto Babylon.

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, Jehovah thy God pronounced this evil upon this place;

and Jehovah hath brought it, and done according as he spake: because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which are upon thy hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will look well unto thee; but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee; whither it seemeth good and right unto thee to go, thither go.

Now while he was not yet gone back, Go back then, [said he], to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wheresoever it seemeth right unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a present, and let him go.

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Now when all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poorest of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, [to wit], Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans that shall come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

Hoje já é dia 17 de abril! Como o ano está passando rápido, não é mesmo? Mas, por outro lado, ainda estamos só no começo do ano. O bom é que ainda podemos planejar muitas coisas para ele. Ainda temos 258 dias para, quem sabe, fazer um projeto e executá-lo. São muitos dias! Pense bem nisso, no dia de hoje. Talvez sua vida pode dar uma reviravolta ou, pelo menos sabe, ter um algo a mais, diferente, de bom, que seja acrescentado na sua vida, durante este ano a partir desta data. Um dia comum pode tornar-se especial, embora talvez não esteja conseguindo enxergar isso agora.
No dia 17 de abril de 1521, Martinho Lutero foi excomungado da igreja tradicional na qual ele havia nascido, mas que era uma igreja que estava apostatada e levando o povo à apostasia também. E que “bênção” foi aquela - a excomunhão. Ali estava nascendo o protestantismo que, apesar de não ter sido 100% perfeito, porque nada neste mundo é, era o plano de Deus para salvar o cristianismo que estava afundado num monte de erros. Graças a Martinho Lutero, aos outros grandes reformadores e ao protestantismo, temos uma compreensão ampla da revelação da Palavra de Deus como nunca houve no cristianismo. Escapamos daquela vida religiosa sofrida e sem sentido na qual a igreja tradicional estava se chafurdando.
Neste dia, você também pode ler sobre muitas reviravoltas na Bíblia. No livro de Reis há uma sequência de narrativas de reinados - que entra rei, sai rei, entra rei, sai rei, entra rei, sai rei – e, às vezes, o leitor superficial fica quase tonto. Cada rei novo que entrava, era uma reviravolta. E o curioso é que pouco tempo antes, existiram reinados estáveis, como de Davi e Salomão.
Como sei que pode parecer meio confuso pelo fato de estar falando do reinado de Judá e, daqui a pouco, já entra falando do reinado de Israel, vou tentar lhe ajudar nisso para que você consiga obter maior conhecimento sobre esses detalhes.
Bem, copie a história dos reis da seguinte forma: em uma folha, você coloca o título do reino de Israel e copia as histórias, resumindo, é claro. Comece com os reinados de Saul, Davi e Salomão. A partir daí, você divide a folha em duas colunas, uma para o reino de Judá e outra para o reino de Israel. No decorrer da leitura bíblica, insira nas colunas todos os reis que encontrar. Dessa forma, conseguirá ter uma visão geral do todo bem melhor. Essa será mais uma reviravolta na sua compreensão bíblica, para melhor, é claro.
