The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah, that were carried away captive unto Babylon.

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, Jehovah thy God pronounced this evil upon this place;

and Jehovah hath brought it, and done according as he spake: because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which are upon thy hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will look well unto thee; but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee; whither it seemeth good and right unto thee to go, thither go.

Now while he was not yet gone back, Go back then, [said he], to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wheresoever it seemeth right unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a present, and let him go.

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Now when all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poorest of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, [to wit], Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans that shall come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

VERDADE ABSOLUTA?
SALMOS 10-17
Existe uma verdade absoluta? Quero lhe avisar de um risco que corremos para não cairmos nele. Iniciamos a leitura de Salmos ontem e iremos até o dia 9 de julho lendo-o. E, ao lermos, se corre o risco de fazer aplicações erradas para nossa vida porque o leitor pensa mais ou menos assim: “Bom, se os salmos são escritos em linguagem poética, são metáforas, figuras de linguagem, que geralmente não se entende como se lê.”
Até aí tudo bem. Mas o problema é que o raciocínio pode continuar: “Então, para aplicar os escritos dos salmos na minha vida, faço uma analogia ou tiro a melhor aplicação que for mais conveniente para mim ou a que achar mais legal e aplico.” Aí vem o grande erro. O problema é que nossa mente afetada pelos males do pós-modernismo nos tenta a isso porque somos bombardeados com a ideia absurda de que tudo é tão relativo ao ponto de não existir uma verdade absoluta, o que é um engano.
Se você acessar o blog do jornalista Leandro Quadros (www.novotempo.org.br/namiradaverdade), verá que ele defende, de maneira muito convincente, que existe uma verdade absoluta. Acesse esse blog e veja que mesmo com uma mente moderna, é possível entender sua existência. Segundo Quadros, “existe uma Verdade Absoluta com base no pressuposto que se encontra em 2Coríntios 13:8: ‘Porque nada podemos contra a verdade, senão em favor da própria verdade.’ A afirmação de que existe uma verdade absoluta se baseia tanto da Bíblia, que diz que a verdade é uma pessoa, que é Jesus, quanto na “Filosofia que diz categoricamente: ‘duas coisas contraditórias não podem ser verdadeiras ao mesmo tempo’. Portanto, não há duas verdades!”
Amanhã, voltarei a mencionar sobre verdade absoluta, mas fica aqui o aviso do dia: “não vamos sair interpretando o livro dos Salmos do jeito que bem entendemos”. Existem os modos corretos de interpretar a Bíblia.
Uma das dicas para você entender os Salmos é: ao ler um salmo, ore primeiro. Depois, procure ler também a história do contexto em que ele foi escrito. Não dá para fazer isso com todos, mas muitos salmos já trazem no título, introdução ou rodapé alguma indicação de quem escreveu e quando. Se você tem pelo menos o autor, como Davi, por exemplo, estude tudo na Bíblia sobre sua vida e o que ele passou. Então, mais sintonizado com as mentes autoras do dito salmo, você chegará mais perto da interpretação verdadeira.
Quero lhe dar mais dicas sobre como devemos interpretar os salmos, mas, para hoje, o meu desejo é que você fique bem sintonizado com a “Verdade”, que é Jesus! Nele, podemos confiar!
