|Jeremias 40:1|
The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah, that were carried away captive unto Babylon.

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, Jehovah thy God pronounced this evil upon this place;

and Jehovah hath brought it, and done according as he spake: because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which are upon thy hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will look well unto thee; but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee; whither it seemeth good and right unto thee to go, thither go.

Now while he was not yet gone back, Go back then, [said he], to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wheresoever it seemeth right unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a present, and let him go.

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Now when all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poorest of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, [to wit], Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans that shall come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

AS MARCAS DO PECADO
Isaías 49-51
A escolha da missão de Jesus no planeta Terra para nos salvar do pecado deixou estampadas, na Divindade, marcas eternas. Marcas essas, objetivadas para operar a restauração de Israel, você deve saber. Faz parte desse “Israel”, todo aquele que se converte a Deus e torna-se um filho da fé do pai Abraão. Essa restauração desse povo, do qual você e eu fazemos parte, que está relatada aí em Isaías 49:8 em diante, é uma restauração explicada no capítulo 50. É a missão que restaura-nos do pecado. E é aí que entra em cena o casamento entre a nossa restauração e a obra de Jesus Cristo: uma aliança com marcas eternas. Vários tipos de marcas.
Certa vez, em uma família, havia um rapaz que apresentava um comportamento muito rebelde. Tiago tinha apenas 16 anos, e seus pais já não sabiam mais o que fazer com ele. Já se classificava como um adolescente que possuíra hábitos, posturas e atitudes muito terríveis. Fazia as coisas erradas, e se alguém o questionava, ele mentia. Se alguém o desmascarava, ele enfrentava, retrucava, respondia e desobedecia de novo. Terrível!
Diante disso, o pai desse garoto tomou uma atitude. Em um belo dia em que Tiago apareceu com um novo comportamento errado, o velho parou no meio da linda sala de jantar da família e pediu ao filho: “Tiago, sobre esta sua mais nova conduta, quero apenas uma coisa. Por favor, traga-me um martelo e um prego.” Apesar de não entender, o rapaz atendeu ao pedido, mas também já foi desafiando o pai: “Qual é? Vai punir-me fincando-me um prego? Posso denunciá-lo!” Em silêncio, com martelo e prego em mãos, o chefe da família foi até diante de um lindo quadro lindo, que havia numa das paredes daquela copa. Era um quadro caríssimo, de mogno puro, com uma imagem magnífica, toda esculpida. Então, aquele senhor cravou o prego bem no meio da obra de arte. Que horrível! O rapaz pensou: “Meu pai deve estar ficando louco!” Então, seu pai virou e disse-lhe: “Este prego é a lembrança do seu novo mau hábito. No dia em que você abandoná-lo, eu arranco o prego.” Para cada nova atitude errada do Tiago, um prego a mais no quadro; para cada nova atitude louvável, um prego a menos no quadro.
A desobediência deliberada daquele filho continuou até o dia em que percebeu que, no quadro, já havia muitos pregos. Então, resolveu mudar de atitude. E chegou o dia em que o pai pôde dizer-lhe: “Está vendo meu filho, já não há mais nenhum prego.” Mas, infelizmente, triste, Tiago teve que responder: “Mas as marcas continuam lá!”
