The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah, that were carried away captive unto Babylon.

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, Jehovah thy God pronounced this evil upon this place;

and Jehovah hath brought it, and done according as he spake: because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which are upon thy hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will look well unto thee; but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee; whither it seemeth good and right unto thee to go, thither go.

Now while he was not yet gone back, Go back then, [said he], to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wheresoever it seemeth right unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a present, and let him go.

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Now when all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poorest of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, [to wit], Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans that shall come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

Você gosta de viajar? Gosta de ouvir música ou cantar enquanto está no trajeto? Há muitas formas de ouvir música enquanto nos locomovemos. Por exemplo, um aparelhinho de som, pequeno, preso na roupa ou no corpo, com um fonezinho em cada ouvido. Simples, não é? E isso pode nos levar a um mundo totalmente amplo, e talvez até longe do próprio lugar em que estejamos através da música.
Viajando pelo Brasil, podemos acompanhar a sintonia de boas rádios ou selecionar as músicas que vão tocar no aparelho do seu automóvel. O ruim é quando viajamos de ônibus, pois precisamos suportar aquelas músicas bem lixão e não temos como evitá-las. Gosto de viajar naquelas companhias aéreas que dão um fone de ouvido, onde há um controle para escolher a estação e a música que queremos ouvir. Muito bom!
Se você acha que essa mania de ouvir música no trajeto é coisa do mundo moderno, abra sua Bíblia. Nela, existem quinze salmos que são chamados de Cânticos dos Peregrinos, de Peregrinação, de Romagem, dos Degraus. Eles são exatamente a nossa leitura de hoje.
Gerson Berzins, no jornal da primeira igreja Batista do Rio de Janeiro (acoluna.org.br/pibrj/estudos/09ebd1t03.pdf), comenta que não existe uma explicação unânime para o nome e a função desses salmos. Entende-se que estavam relacionados com a peregrinação dos judeus em direção à Jerusalém para adoração a Deus. Seriam cânticos entoados durante a viagem ou na entrada do templo. Foi sugerido que fossem cantados em um dos degraus de acesso ao templo na chegada dos peregrinos.
Outra explicação associa esses salmos com o rei Ezequias. Como sabemos do relato de Isaías 38, o rei clamou e chorou diante de Deus quando foi avisado da sua morte, e Deus lhe concedeu 15 anos adicionais, usando como sinal o recuo de 10 graus no relógio de sol do rei. Em sua oração de gratidão, ele comprometeu-se a adorar a Deus todos os dias da sua vida, como vemos em Isaías 38:20: “O Senhor está prestes a salvar-me; pelo que, tangendo eu meus instrumentos, nós o louvaremos todos os dias de nossa vida na casa do Senhor.” Nesse propósito expresso na sua oração, Ezequias teria composto 10 salmos, um para cada grau que o relógio retrocedeu. A esses 10, ele adicionou quatro salmos de Davi e um de Salomão, totalizando 15, a quantidade de anos que o Senhor lhe adicionou.
Essas possíveis explicações para a origem e função desse grupo de salmos servem apenas como pano de fundo e introdução, ao que pode ser a boa experiência da sua leitura. A relevância da mensagem é o que eles podem transmitir a você.
