The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah, that were carried away captive unto Babylon.

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, Jehovah thy God pronounced this evil upon this place;

and Jehovah hath brought it, and done according as he spake: because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which are upon thy hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will look well unto thee; but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee; whither it seemeth good and right unto thee to go, thither go.

Now while he was not yet gone back, Go back then, [said he], to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wheresoever it seemeth right unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a present, and let him go.

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Now when all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poorest of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, [to wit], Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans that shall come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

SALMOS 01-09
Eu estou muito, mas muito feliz. Sinto-me como se estivesse saindo de um grande sofrimento, a dor amenizada, os problemas resolvidos e, agora, sentindo um alívio, uma vitória e um senso de missão cumprida, entrando para um lugar de muita alegria. Sabe quando você acabou de concluir uma meta, um desafio, uma jornada anual de trabalho e está saindo de férias, indo para a praia, numa boa? Sabe quando terminou a semana e está indo para o interior esfriar a cabeça ou quando entra na piscina e esquece o mundo? É desse jeito que estou me sentindo ao terminar de ler o livro de Jó, uma biografia de uma vida sofrida, e entrar para ler o livro dos Salmos, uma coletânea de músicas alegres. É como se as luzes se acendessem.
Saindo da “deprê” e entrando no salão de festas, convido-lhe a começar uma jornada pelos salmos. Você topa? É uma leitura bem gostosa. Os salmos são poemas e canções. Alguns são conselhos, advertências, outros são louvores a Deus, outros ainda são o mais profundo expressar dos anseios da alma humana, desabafos, testemunhos, histórias, todos, artisticamente compostos. São como as músicas de hoje, músicas boas de Jesus, é claro.
Você gosta de música ou de conversar sobre ela? Durante os dias em que estivermos lendo o livro dos Salmos, conversaremos algumas coisas sobre o assunto, principalmente a música gospel. Afinal, existe muita musicalidade nesse livro, e precisamos saber aplicá-la em nossos dias.
A música, apesar de estar relacionada a praticamente qualquer tipo de momento da nossa vida, é, também, uma lembrança da alegria ou, pelo menos, da esperança. Dos nove salmos propostos para lermos hoje, temos certeza de que pelo menos seis são realmente letras de canções, que foram cantadas naquela época do Israel antigo. Um conselho bem claro ao entrarmos para esse salão musical, o livro dos Salmos é uma advertência (capítulo 1): Veja bem como vai andar, proceder, se comportar, se envolver e se relacionar, senhor participante. Aplicando aos nossos dias, apesar de estarmos felizes, entrando para esse mundo artístico, devemos ter a consciência de que não é qualquer arte ou música que devemos aceitar. Precisamos selecionar o que colocamos na mente.
Observe na leitura: Salmo 2 traz esperança. Se você está se sentindo acuado, perseguido, leia o Salmo 3. Quer sentir paz no coração? Salmo 4. Quer que Deus lhe ouça? Salmo 5. Está triste? Salmo 6. Quer que a justiça seja feita? Salmo 7. Quer saber qual é seu valor? Salmo 8. Se quiser aumentar sua fé, Salmo 9. É só alegria!
Se a vida é uma festa, só nos resta festejar.
