The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah, that were carried away captive unto Babylon.

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, Jehovah thy God pronounced this evil upon this place;

and Jehovah hath brought it, and done according as he spake: because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which are upon thy hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will look well unto thee; but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee; whither it seemeth good and right unto thee to go, thither go.

Now while he was not yet gone back, Go back then, [said he], to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wheresoever it seemeth right unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a present, and let him go.

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Now when all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poorest of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, [to wit], Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans that shall come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

SALMOS 51-55
Você acha que Deus ouve a oração de uma pessoa quem tem bastantes pecados? Se Deus não ouvisse e não desse atenção à oração de uma pessoa muito pecadora, não sei o que o Salmo 51 estaria fazendo na nossa Bíblia. Já leu esse salmo? Ele é o desabafo de um grande pecador que tinha acabado de mentir, cobiçar as coisas alheias, desonrar os pais, roubar, trair o melhor amigo, dormir com a esposa do melhor amigo, engravidá-la, assassinar o melhor amigo, tomar o nome de Deus em vão e outras coisas como deus de seu coração, acima do Senhor Deus dos Céus. Quebrou praticamente todos os mandamentos.
E agora? O que fazer? Pra onde correr? É como criança que faz arte. E por fazer algo errado, sairá da casa do Pai? Onde viver? Deus é o que mais entende isso. Então, haveria alguma situação em que seria possível Deus não atender a oração de alguém que está em pecado? Para isso, precisamos entender o que é estar em pecado.
De acordo com 1João 3:4, pecado é a transgressão da lei. E o que desvia o ouvido de ouvir a lei (transgredindo-a), até sua oração será abominável (Provérbios 28:9). Porque o pecado é alienação - faz uma separação entre o homem e Deus (Isaías 59:2). Se ficarmos abraçados com ele, acariciando-o, será essa barreira que bloqueia nossa oração. Mas, se confessarmos os nossos pecados, Ele é fiel e justo para nos perdoar os pecados e nos purificar de TODA injustiça (1João 1:9). Acheguemo-nos, portanto, confiadamente, junto ao trono da graça, a fim de recebermos misericórdia e acharmos graça para socorro em ocasião oportuna (Hebreus 4:16).
E se uma pessoa era muito pecadora, se converte, pediu perdão e foi perdoada, o que acontece? A Bíblia é clara em afirmar que Deus não leva em conta o tempo da ignorância, quando alguém pecou sem ter o claro esclarecimento do mal que estava fazendo (1Timóteo 1:13; Atos 17:30). Quando alguém se converte, as coisas passadas são esquecidas. Numa novidade de vida, a pessoa é uma nova criatura (2 Coríntios 5:17). Depois dessa conversão, não voltemos às práticas anteriores (1Pedro 1:14), porque a um pecador arrependido, nem o próprio Jesus, que nunca pecou (Hebreus 4:15), condena (João 8). “Filhinhos meus, estas coisas vos escrevo para que não pequeis. Se, todavia, alguém pecar, temos Advogado junto ao Pai, Jesus Cristo, o Justo; Se confessarmos os nossos pecados, ele é fiel e justo para nos perdoar os pecados e nos purificar de toda injustiça” (1João 2:1; 1:9).
Independentemente de qualquer pecado, se nos entregamos a Deus, somos redimidos e aceitos por nosso Senhor.
