And the king sent, and they gathered to him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.

And the king went up into the house of Jehovah, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great; and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which had been found in the house of Jehovah.

And the king stood on the dais, and made a covenant before Jehovah, to walk after Jehovah, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all [his] heart, and with all [his] soul, to establish the words of this covenant that are written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.

And the king commanded Hilkijah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to bring forth out of the temple of Jehovah all the vessels that had been made for Baal, and for the Asherah, and for all the host of the heavens; and he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them to Bethel.

And he abolished the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense on the high places in the cities of Judah, and the environs of Jerusalem; and them that burned incense to Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the constellations, and to all the host of heaven.

And he brought out the Asherah from the house of Jehovah, outside Jerusalem, to the torrent of Kidron, and burned it at the torrent of Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder upon the graves of the children of the people.

And he broke down the houses of the sodomites, which were in the house of Jehovah, where the women wove tents for the Asherah.

And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba even to Beer-sheba; and he broke down the high places of the gates, those at the entrance of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, [and] those on the left hand of any [going in] at the gate of the city.

Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of Jehovah in Jerusalem, but they ate of the unleavened bread among their brethren.

And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the sons of Hinnom, that no man might cause his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.

Ezequiel 45-48
Ao ouvir “onze de Setembro”, qualquer um se lembra do ocorrido nessa data em 2001, nos EUA. “Os ataques terroristas de 11 de setembro, chamados também de atentados de 11 de setembro, foram uma série de ataques suicidas, coordenados pela Al-Qaeda contra alvos civis nos Estados Unidos da América em 11 de Setembro de 2001 (Wikipédia)”. O resumo é isso, mas já se passaram vários anos, e a lembrança permanece mais elevada do que a definição.
Enquanto os americanos sonhavam em manter erguidos os seus colossos gêmeos de 110 andares cada um, como se fossem um símbolo de sua suposta superioridade, os membros da Al-Qaeda procuravam manter erguidos os seus orgulhos feridos pelos tantos anos das injustiças ocidentais infringidas sobre eles. Talvez pensemos que aquele acontecido não tenha nada a ver com nosso “impávido colosso brasileiro”, mas tem sim. Só o fato de que, a cada ano, isso nos volta à lembrançam já é uma evidência de que, de alguma forma, todos nós fomos afetados, positiva ou negativamente, por aquele atentado.
Mais interessante que o atentado, são as posteriores tentativas de manter-se alguma coisa erguida, mesmo que as torres gêmeas tenham caído. São várias, as tentativas: a de manter em pé a memória dos civis sacrificados, a de manter uma suposta teoria de conspiração nacional americana para o ocorrido, a de fazer com que o mundo saiba que aquela atitude não representa o pensamento islâmico, e por aí vai.
O sonho de Deus era manter, em erguimento monumental, Sua glória refletida através da glória nacional de Israel. Seria tudo, realmente, um colosso. Mas não aconteceu? A construção planejada do Templo pode não ter acontecido fisicamente, mas o sonho de Deus em manter Sua glória erguida, através do Seu povo, diante da contemplação da humanidade, aconteceu e acontece.
“O Senhor está Aqui”. Este slogan da campanha tem sido o motivo pelo qual Deus, ao longo dos séculos, não tem sido esquecido pela humanidade. Existem ímpios, ateus e incrédulos, mas a maioria dos humanos reconhece que, acima de nós, há um Deus todo-poderoso influenciando-nos direta e historicamente.
O maior trunfo que Deus quer manter erguido é Seu próprio nome porque é esse nome que tem a capacidade de redimir-nos. Por ele, temos a chance de escapar deste mundo mal, do terrorismo, dos medos e das aflições. Podemos ter dignidade, sem orgulhos feridos, numa vida plena, feliz e eterna. O Senhor quer fazer de cada um de nós um templo vivo do Espírito Santo. E então, por onde for, você poderá ser uma representação viva da frase: “O Senhor Está Aqui”.
O importante é a presença de Deus na vida pessoal.
