|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

|Lamentações 2:9|
Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

LIÇÕES BÍBLICAS DE HOJE EM DIA
Isaías 34-37
Dos capítulos bíblicos apontados para a leitura bíblica de hoje, tiro aqui quatro grandes lições para nossa vida. E elas não esgotam o assunto. São, simplesmente, um pequeno incentivo para que você, através da sua leitura particular, tire também as boas aplicações para sua vida e para ajudar outras pessoas.
DEUS ESTÁ INCOMODADO COM A SITUACAO ATUAL DO NOSSO MUNDO. Essa é a conclusão de pensamento que me veio à mente ao observar o conteúdo de Isaías 34. Se você tem olhado para esse velho mundo e fica triste com as injustiças que acontecem, as desigualdades sociais, a exploração que os mais fortes exercem sobre os mais fracos e a maldade que impera, fazendo do planeta uma desordem, um caos total, saiba que Deus está incomodado com a situação atual do nosso mundo. Ele não o criou assim, nem para ficar assim. Ele está trabalhando para que este mundo, um dia, seja diferente.
Aqui entra a segunda grande lição: EXISTE UM PLANO IDEAL PARA O QUAL ESTE PLANETA ESTÁ SENDO ENCAMINHADO. Perceba que eu não disse “para o qual nós estamos sendo encaminhados”. Porque talvez nós não estejamos. Talvez você e eu não estejamos no caminho da restauração de todas as coisas. Mas o fato é que tudo vai ser reformado, refeito, restaurado, inclusive a justiça, a felicidade, a igualdade, a paz, a harmonia e o bem pleno, em nome de Jesus! E o ponto importante é que poderemos fazer parte da restauração ou da rebarba, da escória, que vai para o lixo, durante o processo de reforma. Isso depende das nossas escolhas; depende de que lado queremos ficar. E aí vem a terceira grande lição retirada da leitura bíblica de hoje:
INEGOCIAVELMENTE, VOCÊ E EU, TEMOS QUE ESCOLHER DE QUE LADO VAMOS FICAR. Deus tem o lado dele. Quem não é por Ele, é contra. Não existe meio termo. Mas se você escolher ficar do lado de Deus, conseguirá ver acontecer o que está contido na próxima grande lição.
Isaías 37: ali temos a vitória de Ezequias sobre um exército muito mais poderoso - o exército da Assíria. Mas eles venceram pelo poder de Deus. Então, a quarta grande lição é: JÁ PODEMOS VER PEQUENOS EXEMPLOS DE QUE O BEM VENCERÁ, mediante o poder de Deus, o poder da oração e o poder da Palavra de Deus, é claro. Fique firme ao lado de Jesus e por dentro da Bíblia, porque toda a maldade deste mundo vai acabar. Seja forte, tenha uma fé inabalável e você poderá viver para conhecer a plenitude do bem. Nada poderá lhe separar do amor de Deus!
