|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

|Lamentações 2:4|
Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

|Lamentações 2:6|
He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

|Lamentações 2:7|
The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

|Lamentações 2:8|
The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

|Lamentações 2:9|
Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

|Lamentações 2:10|
The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

NOSSO SENTIDO EXISTENCIAL
Coríntios 01-04
Quando o cristão se torna consciente de onde está e da razão de estar onde está, sua vida passa a ter sentido. Geralmente, a vida de um cristão não é destruída por grandes assolações, mas sim, por picuinhas. Este poderia ser um outro título dado ao livro de Coríntios: “Picuinhas”. E o grande erudito Paulo amava tanto aqueles cristãos de Corinto, ao ponto de parar para dar-lhes atenção àqueles detalhes que para um doutor não muito altruísta, seriam de somenos importância. Mas quando um pai pára suas atividades complexas de um homem e suja-se na areia do quintal para fazer estradinhas e pontezinhas com seu filho, não está entretendo-se, está dando a um novo ser, à próxima geração, o rumo certo da superação vitoriosa da existência. Cristão, onde você está? Por quê?
“Irmãos, em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, suplico a todos vocês que concordem uns com os outros no que falam, para que não haja diversões entre vocês; antes, que todos estejam unidos num só pensamento e num só parecer (1Coríntios 1:10)”. Cristianismo é, acima de tudo, a busca pelo significado da vida, cujas respostas dão direção certa à mesma. Isto acontece apenas quando idéias, conceitos e valores se harmonizam. A semente da união nasce no solo que une todas as mentes em uma só. Portanto, devemos nos entender nas idéias controversas. Mas como?
“Mas Deus o revelou a nós por meio do Espírito. O Espírito sonda todas as coisas, até mesmo as coisas mais profundas de Deus. Pois, quem conhece os pensamentos do homem, a não ser o espírito do homem que nele está? Da mesma forma, ninguém conhece os pensamentos de Deus, a não ser o Espírito de Deus (2:10-11)”. Somente com a ajuda de Deus, é que podemos entender a revelação. Se antes, com humildade, nos dispomos a nos unir, sem querer impor, uns sobre os outros, nossas próprias idéias, em Deus, encontramos a verdade. E isto é possível?
“Vocês não sabem que são santuário de Deus e que o Espírito de Deus habita em vocês? Se alguém destruir o santuário de Deus, Deus o destruirá; pois o santuário de Deus, que são vocês, é sagrado (3:16-17)”. Por nós mesmos, é praticamente impossível sublimarmos harmonicamente em conhecimento, pois nosso coração é mal. O Espírito Santo quer habitar em nós. É Ele quem faz a obra em nós. Para quê?
“Portanto, que todos nos considerem como servos de Cristo e encarregados dos mistérios de Deus. O que se requer destes encarregados é que sejam fiéis (4:1-2)”. O objetivo final é sermos co-participantes do trabalho de Deus.
Isso dá sentido à nossa existência.
