|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

Gênesis 37-39
Na leitura de hoje, há alguns dramas girando em torno da sexualidade dos personagens. E nesses casos, tem histórias tristes e de bom exemplo. Mas você sabe para que Deus criou o sexo? Veja:
1) Para unir o homem e a mulher num só ser (Gênesis 2:24). Essa união acontece através do ato sexual. “Este é um mistério profundo” (Efésios 5:22-33). As diferenças são agentes de enriquecimento e complementação do casal, tornando a relação mais completa. São duas personalidades, dois indivíduos com diferenças físicas e psicológicas, mas ao mesmo tempo, um só ser. No plano de Deus, quando as pessoas se casam, passam a compartilhar tudo: seus bens, idéias, aptidões, problemas, alegrias, tristezas, fé e corpos.
2) Para o prazer. Veja este resumo de uma conversa entre o rei Salomão e a Sulamita:
- Você é toda linda, minha querida. Você faz disparar o meu coração. Quão deliciosas são as suas carícias! Você é um jardim fechado, minha noiva.
- Que o meu amado entre em seu jardim e saboreie os seus deliciosos frutos.
- Entrei em meu jardim, minha noiva. Comi o meu favo e o meu mel (Cantares 4:7-5:1).
Agora imagine Adão e Eva no Éden! Perfeitos, recém-saídos das mãos do Criador, com corpos vibrantes, em que cada célula se comunicava em perfeita harmonia; cada músculo belamente trabalhado movia-se em perfeita coordenação; o intelecto era puro, livre de qualquer contaminação social ou cultural. A experiência sexual deles deve ter sido extraordinária!
A experimentação do prazer sexual no casal não é uma relação marital mecânica, uma coisa só da carne. Deve haver comunicação, intimidade, ternura antes e depois do ato e confiança intensificada de pertencer ao outro, em um só ser. Deve existir respeito, igualdade e muito amor paciente e perdoador. Deus observa e aprova o ato sexual dos casais casados, entregues ao prazer inocente designado por Ele mesmo. Ele se alegra com a alegria que é pura e santa (Hebreus 13:4).
3) Para a retransmissão da vida que recebemos dEle. A narrativa de Gênesis mostra a sexualidade, ordenada por Deus, num tempo em que o pecado não existia (Gênesis 1:22 e 28). Ter filhos é uma responsabilidade que deve ser intencionalmente desejada, planejada e esperada. Deus cria, nós procriamos. O amor de Deus se revela no fruto do amor humano.
A Bíblia considera o sexo como um brinde ao amor conjugal, uma magnífica experiência plena de amor em profunda expressão de alegria, deleite e dinamismo. Dentro do casamento, o sexo é um poderoso fator de união, prazer e intimidade. É por isso que a escolha de José resultou em bênção e a de Judá não.
