|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

|Lamentações 2:6|
He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

O ABRAÇO DO AMOR
2Reis 12-14
Fico imaginando sobre como Deus olha para Seus filhos lá de cima, cada um de nós. Você já subiu em um lugar bem alto e ficou observando o que cada pessoa está fazendo, e ver os detalhes da correria das pessoas, sem que elas percebam que está olhando para elas?
Quando leio essas histórias do povo de Israel, olhando para tantos personagens e tudo o que faziam, imagino a vida de cada um e os sentimentos deles. Para mim, vendo-os através das lentes do texto bíblico, parece que estou vendo-os, como se olhasse de cima e vendo todo mundo. Veja essas pessoas com seus próprios olhos através das lentes de 2Reis 12-14. Ao pensar neles, fico imaginando como cada um expressa sua carência através dos seus atos. Assim, chegamos a uma grande realidade: o ser humano é carente. Quem não gosta de um abraço?
Onde podemos encontrar um bom abraço? Joás sabia! Em Deus, a certeza do abraço é certa. Se você comparar a biografia dele com todas as descrições dos outros personagens, verá o quanto ele foi ABRAÇADO por Deus. O fato é que todo aquele que busca a Deus, não fica sem receber um abraço. Foi isso que Joás fez. Resolveu arrumar a casa e abrir as portas da casa de Deus. Ela passou a ser a casa do abraço. Afinal, se todas as pessoas estiverem congregadas, estarão sob um mesmo abraço. Pensando nisso, Joás fez a reparação do templo.
Fiz um poema, que eu gostaria de compartilhar com você. Posso? Ele é a descrição de uma pessoa que estava perdida, encontrou a igreja e se juntou a muitas outras pessoas com a mesma experiência. Então, imagine-se nessa cena:
Eu estava lá fora, vazio
Em meu coração, sentia frio
Então eu ouvi a voz do Espírito Santo
Concedendo amor, me chamando
Vem à Minha casa
Vem esquecer sua dor
Vem com os seus queridos
Receber o abraço do amor
Relutei aceitar e vir
O que iriam pensar de mim?
Mas eu não resisti, lembrei de Jesus
Padecendo de amor, lá na cruz
E vim à Tua casa
Vim esquecer minha dor
Vim, com os meus queridos
Receber o abraço do amor
Reunidos aqui, cantamos
Em adoração, nos abraçamos
Nós queremos, ó Deus, de Ti receber
Doação de amor, do Teu poder

Dá-nos o abraço do amor
