|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

|Lamentações 2:6|
He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

|Lamentações 2:7|
The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

|Lamentações 2:9|
Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

|Lamentações 2:10|
The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

MEU MUNDO NÃO É AQUI
JÓ 25-28
“Pelo Deus vivo, que me negou justiça, pelo Todo poderoso, que deu amargura à minha alma, enquanto eu tiver vida em mim, o sopro de Deus em minhas narinas, meus lábios não falarão maldade, e minha língua não proferirá nada que seja falso. Nunca darei razão a vocês [para me acusarem]! Minha integridade não negarei jamais, até à morte. Manterei minha retidão, e nunca a deixarei enquanto eu viver, a minha consciência não me repreenderá” (Jó 27:1-6).
Quem disse isso? O grande Jó. Destaquei esse trecho da leitura porque, para mim, ele é demais. Pense: um seguidor de Deus, sofrendo, na pior das desgraças, sem saber para onde foi a justiça do Senhor, ter a coragem de olhar para o Céu e dizer: “Deus, ainda que o Senhor me mate, é em Ti que eu vou continuar colocando a minha esperança”?
Isso que é fé. Porque quando alguém passa por uma dificuldade, ora e tem sua oração respondida, não tem tanta fé assim. O mundo hoje anda tão longe de compreender o que é fé, que pensa que o “máximo da fé” seria: está desempregado? Bate o joelho no chão e pede um emprego para o Senhor. Daí a oração é respondida e o emprego aparece. Oh! Isso que é fé! Está doente? Faz uma oração e vem a cura! Oh! Que fé! Está precisando de dinheiro? Pede para Deus e a grana aparece. Oh!... Fé? Fé ou presunção? Fé ou teologia da prosperidade? Fé ou mercadologia da religião? Fé ou falta de compreensão bíblica?
Quando é preciso ter mais fé: orar para um paralítico levantar-se e sair andando, em nome de Jesus, e vê-lo sair andando ou orar para um paralítico levantar-se, em nome de Jesus, e não vê-lo sair andando e ainda assim continuar crendo em Jesus? Percebe como nossa noção de fé tem sido deturpada?
Então, permita-me repetir o trecho destacado que estampa, de forma grandiosa, a fé desse homem: “Pelo Deus vivo, que me negou justiça, pelo Todo poderoso, que deu amargura à minha alma, enquanto eu tiver vida em mim, o sopro de Deus em minhas narinas, meus lábios não falarão maldade, e minha língua não proferirá nada que seja falso. Nunca darei razão a vocês [para me acusarem]! Minha integridade não negarei jamais, até à morte. Manterei minha retidão, e nunca a deixarei enquanto eu viver, a minha consciência não me repreenderá.”
Fé é a ponte que nos liga desta vida para a vida eterna. É a convicção de que nosso CÉU PODE COMEÇAR AQUI, MAS QUE NOSSO MUNDO, ABSOLUTAMENTE, NÃO É AQUI.
Nosso destino é o Céu!
