|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

Lamentações
Se você acha que já conseguiu escapar-se do Jeremias, está enganado. Só porque ontem você terminou a leitura do livro de Jeremias? Hoje, devemos começar a ler o livro de Lamentações que, também, foi escrito por ele. Portanto, continuamos nos braços do profeta Jeremias. E, pelas barbas do profeta, por favor, não deixe de fazer sua leitura. De qualquer forma, a oportunidade de assentar-se aos pés do grande Jeremias para dele aprender termina, realmente, hoje. Porque a leitura proposta para hoje é o livro inteiro, de Lamentações. Mas não se assuste, porque o livro é pequeno. Tem apenas cinco capítulos pequenos. Então, não precisa lamentar. É só ler.
E, falando em lamentação, você tem tido uma vida de lamentações? Porque, no plano de leitura bíblica, as lamentações de Jeremias ficam limitadas a apenas um dia, mas uma vida inteira de lamentações, é bravo. Quando assumimos o perfil de influenciador macambúzio, sorumbático, com a síndrome de sentir-se jururu o tempo todo, essa influencia fede na vida das pessoas ao nosso redor. Acontece um fluir negativo que vai até aqueles a quem influenciamos, e depois retorna para nós mesmos. E vamos todos ficando cada vez mais em pior situação. Coisa triste de ser ouvida é lamentação.
Como tem sido sua vida? Tem lamentado muito? Aí você pode ré_lamentar: “Ah, mas não tem como, se há tantas razões para lamentar, como não vou lamentar?”. E diante disso, aqui vão dois conselhos.
1) Lamente. Deus nos ama tanto, que dispõe-se a ouvir até as nossas lamentações. Quando ninguém mais está a agüentar, Ele está disposto. Então, pegue o livro de Jeremias, e leia-o em voz alta, como se fosse a sua oração. Ao falar assim com Deus, aplique o texto à sua vida. Desabafe-se. Deite-se no divã do Senhor, e Ele vai lavar sua alma. Ou seja, se tiver que lamentar-se de qualquer coisa, lamente-se para Deus. Ele é o verdadeiro amigo, que pode realmente ouvir-lhe. Lamente só para Ele.
2) Não lamente. Se você colocar a dica acima em prática, conseguirá então perceber que a vida não é tão dramática assim. Você vai cair na real: “Uau! acho que eu até exagerei, agora!”. E vai começar a perceber que na sua vida tem muito mais coisas boas do que ruins. O problema é que tendemos a ficar focados apenas nas coisas ruins. Você está respirando? Onde você pode fabricar ou comprar um sistema respiratório? Você está conseguindo ler este texto? Que benção! Há tantas outras bênçãos a ser contadas!
Não seja conhecido como um lamentador. Lamentar é ré_lamentar. É um atraso de vida. Não precisa lamentar, basta ler o livro de Lamentações.
