|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

|Lamentações 2:6|
He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

INICIANDO ISAÍAS
Isaías 01-04
Estou muito feliz, pois hoje estamos dando início à leitura de um dos livros mais lindos da Bíblia. Com uma teologia profunda, apresenta-se a mim, e a você também, o livro de Isaías. Eu gosto muito do livro de Isaías. Com certeza, é um grande livro, em todos os aspectos.
Acho que uma postura muito importante que o leitor deve ter ao sentar-se para ler esse livro, é estar atinado para as seguintes descobertas:
• Situar as profecias do livro em seu contexto histórico
• Descobrir, onde for possível, a intenção messiânica de Isaías
• Definir a contribuição que o livro de Isaías pode dar para o desenvolvimento da teologia bíblica.
Para lograr estas assimilações, não é preciso ser teólogo. Qualquer pessoa disposta a ser um estudioso dedicado poderá fazer isso. Para começar, vou ajudar-lhe hoje, com os quatro primeiros capítulos.
Isaías 1 – Apresenta os discursos poéticos. Eles têm uma composição interessante. Na maior parte, são pequenos oráculos. E você pode identificar onde cada um desses poemas começa e termina. Embora de forma implícita, eles têm introdução e conclusão. O primeiro destes oráculos dá um diagnóstico magistral do que estava errado com a vida religiosa da nação judaica.
Subdivisões deste capítulo:
a) Versos 1 a 20: Uma descrição da situação espiritual da nação.
b) Versos 21 a 26: Um anseio de que a cidade infiel se tornaria fiel.
c) Versos 27 e 28: Sião seria remetida pelo direito e pela justiça.
d) Versos 29 a 31: A condenação de Deus ao culto da fertilidade.
Para você que é fiel a Deus, não haverá espanto ao ler tais linhas.
Isaías 2 a 4 – Esses três capítulos formam um só bloco. A explanação do profeta aqui segue a seguinte ordem: A esperança de Deus quanto a Jerusalém; A apresentação da verdadeira condição espiritual e moral de Jerusalém; e a visão de um remanescente que seria salvo. Isso tem tudo a ver conosco, que somos o povo da esperança. Você vai identificar-se com esta leitura.
Se existe uma palavra que combina com o livro de Isaías, é “Salvação”. Creio que esta é a principal palavra que faz com que a teologia de Isaías tenha tudo a ver com a nossa realidade atual. Tem gente que indaga assim: “Dá-me uma boa razão para que eu queira ir para o Céu”. Para perguntas assim, minha resposta é: “Olha, daqui uns 30 anos, nossa vida aqui vai terminar. E eu quero continuar vivendo. Por isso, quero ir para o Céu. Se você só quer viver 70 anos e pronto, ou se quer viver mais, aí é contigo”.
O que acha? Isaías tem a resposta.
