|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

|Lamentações 2:6|
He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

|Lamentações 2:7|
The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

|Lamentações 2:8|
The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

|Lamentações 2:9|
Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

|Lamentações 2:10|
The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

Você quer que o Senhor se manifeste na sua vida? Se tem acompanhado o comentário e prestado atenção, deve perceber que estou preocupado com sua vida devocional. Gosto de dar dicas de como fazer sua devoção e tornar sua leitura bíblica mais interessante. Faço isso porque o meu desejo é que sua vida devocional não seja só um momento de vinte minutos em que você vai para um canto e faz uma leitura bíblica e uma oração. Desejo muito mais que isso para você: que a sua vida, sua rotina diária, todos os seus momentos, sejam, na realidade, um contínuo andar com Jesus. Você está lavando o carro, mas está com Jesus ali, em relacionamento com Ele. Ao andar pela rua, está em sintonia com Jesus. A presença de Deus passa a ser uma coisa constante no seu viver, embora você esteja na correria do dia-a-dia.
Dessa forma, o Senhor se manifestará na sua vida. Mas isso começa com o momento a sós com Deus de leitura Bíblia, culto devocional, momento especial de oração, como destaquei ontem. Perceba que depois que Salomão gastou tempo em oração profunda, conversando sobre tudo, todos os detalhes, e dedicou tudo a Deus (veja a leitura de ontem - 1Reis 8), perceba o que aconteceu no capítulo 9, na leitura de hoje. O título é “O Senhor aparece a Salomão”.
Pense: Deus não apareceu só para profetas ou sacerdotes. Ele apareceu para Salomão, que era um político, governador do povo. Ou seja, não é só pastor, padre, bispo, ancião, diácono, monge ou pessoas do tipo que têm o acesso a Deus e a oportunidade que Ele se manifeste em sua vida. Essas pessoas, é claro, gastam mais do seu tempo ou até o tempo todo, trabalhando com as coisas de Deus. Mas você também, que tem sua profissão secular, corrida da vida, seja no escritório, no volante, na administração, na limpeza, na cozinha, na pesquisa, no campo, na construção, seja onde for, é na sua vida que Deus quer se manifestar. O Senhor pode aparecer para você também.
E seguindo com a nossa leitura, vemos os feitos de Salomão e a grandiosidade que esses feitos tiveram. Salomão, depois que cuidou, deu atenção e tempo para tudo o que era sagrado no lugar separado para se encontrar com Deus; ao se abrir em oração e dedicar tudo, e depois de Deus ter se manifestado na sua vida, ele pôde fazer coisas grandiosas para o Senhor.
Isso é o que desejo para você. Separe tempo e lugar especiais. Leia a Bíblia, ore, dedique-se a Deus, olhe para Ele. Jesus se manifestará na sua vida.
