|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

PODEMOS MUDAR?
Números 33-34
“Na minha vida, não aguento mais mudanças!” Essa foi a frase que ouvi minha mãe dizer em resposta a uma proposta que eu estava fazendo para ela, tentando oferecer algo bom. Minha mãe estava viúva e morando sozinha, longe dos parentes, longe de tudo, há mais de mil quilômetros dos filhos. E naquela preocupação de filho mais velho, protetor, eu estava propondo que ela morasse conosco. Não seria exatamente na mesma casa, mas em algum tipo de casa para que pudéssemos ficar pertinho. Cada vez que eu mudasse, minha mãe iria junto.
Minha mãe sabe o quanto mudo. Vida de pastor é assim: ir aonde Deus mandar. Quando ela disse essa frase para mim, sabia que nos últimos seis anos, eu já estava no sétimo apartamento. Foi por isso que ela disse aquela frase. Ela não estava dizendo que não é uma pessoa aberta a mudanças de paradigmas, mas só não queria mais viver feito cigano, beduíno ou qualquer outro tipo de gente nômade. Nada contra, mas o que ela gostaria era ficar quieta no cantinho dela. Isso está relacionado com estabilidade.
Penso que esses sentimentos sobre mudar ou não estavam bem aflorados na pele daquele pessoal que encontramos na leitura bíblica de hoje. Em Números 33, no relatório das etapas da viagem que eles tiveram desde o Egito, acampando aqui e ali, durou cerca de quarenta anos. Quantos lugares diferentes! Tentei contar, mas perdi a conta desses lugares.
Já pensou que vida era aquela? Levanta acampamento aqui, para ali, arma barraca acolá, e parecia que a jornada não tinha mais um paradeiro. Será que eles disseram: “Na minha vida, eu não aguento mais mudanças?”
Infelizmente, não! O sentimento deles era mais do tipo: “Eu não aguento mais mudanças na minha vida.” Você percebe a diferença? Uma coisa é dizer: “Na minha vida, eu não aguento mais mudanças”; outra, é dizer: “Eu não aguento mais mudanças na minha vida.” A diferença é o lugar onde estamos falando que ela possa acontecer. Uma coisa é, durante essa vida, não querer mais mudar-se de um lugar para outro. Outra, é não querer que mais nada na sua vida seja mudado. Aí é onde está o problema. Esse era o problema daquele povo.
Deus sabia muito bem disso, pois conhecia os israelitas. Parar de mudar-se pra lá e pra cá fisicamente não era o problema. Tanto é que em Números 34, Deus toca a buzina do “terra a vistaaa”, mostrando o final do itinerário. Mas no final do capítulo 33, o recado é: “Cuidado com o que você vai mudar ou deixar que não mude no seu relacionamento com o Senhor!”
