|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

A ESCOLHA DO COMPANHEIRO DE VIDA
Josué 01-13
Lendo “Josué”, pode-se perceber que não era aceitável que israelita algum se unisse em casamento com qualquer pessoa daquela terra que eles estavam conquistando. Isso era uma preocupação preventiva quanto às possíveis violações matrimoniais que poderiam surgir dentro de um casamento. E como essa ainda é uma preocupação válida, pensemos sobre algumas questões importantes na escolha do companheiro de vida.
H. Jackson Brown Jr. - escritor, compositor e artista – deu um presente para o filho um caderno com centenas de ideias e sugestões que havia anotado no decorrer de sua vida. Dentre essas instruções, havia uma que dizia: “Escolha muito bem o seu cônjuge. Dessa decisão única resultarão 90% de toda sua felicidade ou de toda a sua desgraça.” Que verdade!
Geralmente, escolhemos alguém por um ou mais dos seguintes motivos: a)Alcançar uma vida cheia de significado; b)Satisfazer nossas próprias necessidades de amor, aceitação, segurança, reconhecimento e interação; c)Ter alguém com quem compartilhar, com quem desenvolver-nos social, física, intelectual e espiritualmente.
Mas será que os nossos motivos estão certos?
O que levamos em conta ao escolher? A beleza, as experiências, as necessidades, as metas pessoais, os princípios religiosos e a escala pessoal de valores? E para se conhecer?
Pergunto isso porque, emocionalmente comprometidos, temos a tendência de não olharmos de maneira honesta para nós mesmos e para quem estamos amando. Temos medo de descobrir as coisas desagradáveis. No entanto, é imprescindível identificarmos nossos pontos fortes e fracos se quisermos ter sucesso ao escolher e se ajustar com quem casar.
Portanto, se você ainda não escolheu o companheiro da sua vida:
a) Se avalie;
b) Avalie a pessoa com quem quer se casar;
c) Veja até onde vai o respeito;
d) Estude os efeitos das suas possíveis reações.
Se você já é casado, quero propor para o seu casamento um relacionamento que vai além da entrega de uma pessoa à outra. Trata-se de uma relação compartilhada a três. Sim, você compartilhando a pessoa que você ama com uma terceira pessoa: Deus.
Se um casal deseja ter unidade entre si, deve buscar também a união com Deus. Algumas formas de fazer com que o relacionamento com Deus seja real na relação a dois é através da devoção pessoal, da oração, da participação nas atividades da igreja e da coerência em viver a prática do cristianismo que professa.
Quem aceita a direção divina em seus planos e ideais consegue constituir uma família harmoniosa e que valerá a pena, para a sociedade e para as gerações futuras.
Deus se preocupa com o bem-estar do ser humano, inclusive o seu. Ele é o mais interessado na sua felicidade.
