|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

|Lamentações 2:4|
Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

|Lamentações 2:6|
He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

|Lamentações 2:7|
The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

|Lamentações 2:8|
The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

|Lamentações 2:9|
Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

|Lamentações 2:10|
The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

Levítico 05-07
Quero estimulá-lo a não parar com sua leitura bíblica. Estamos exatamente na época do ano em que muita gente para com a leitura bíblica. Mas nosso objetivo é lermos a Bíblia inteira! Para isso, lemos um pouquinho a cada dia – uns dois ou três capítulos, talvez quatro e, se os capítulos forem pequenos, no máximo, cinco. Mas, pouco a pouco, sendo persistentes a cada dia, se não desistirmos, no dia 29 de dezembro fechamos com o último capítulo da Bíblia. É uma satisfação muito boa poder concluir o ano com a realização ter lido a Bíblia inteirinha.
Mais satisfatória, no entanto, é a experiência diária de ler a Bíblia. Se você separa, diariamente, um tempinho marcado com Deus, em um lugar separado e dedica 20 a 30 minutos fazendo sua leitura diária, a recompensa é muito grande. Quando você se levanta dali, a leitura bíblica, pelo poder do Espírito Santo, lhe dá força espiritual para enfrentar as próximas 24 horas, sabia? Então, leia sua Bíblia em clima de oração para Deus lhe ajudar a entender os capítulos previstos para hoje. Combinado?
Eu disse em clima de oração porque, aparentemente, a leitura desse trecho do livro Levítico parece ser muito chata. Fala do que acontecia naqueles tempos antigos com uma pessoa que pecasse. Fala da Oferta pela Culpa, da Regulamentação acerca do Holocausto, da Regulamentação da Oferta de Cereal, da Regulamentação da Oferta pelo Pecado, da Regulamentação da Oferta pela Culpa, da Regulamentação da Oferta de Comunhão, da proibição de comer gordura e sangue, da porção dos sacerdotes. Ufa! Está dando canseira, não está? É! Se a leitura não for um encontro com Deus, a sós, em clima de oração, dá canseira mesmo. Para aproveitar melhor esses momentos com Deus, converse profundamente com Ele antes de ler e enquanto estiver lendo, pergunte sobre o que Deus quer lhe ensinar com essas histórias de um mundo tão antigo e diferente do nosso. Se você entregar seu coração, com sinceridade, Deus responde sua oração.
Dessa forma, você passa a ser um leitor-campeão, pois, uma coisa é ser um leitor superficial, que só lê os salmos e as histórias de Jesus, limitando-se a não ter contato com outras partes da Bíblia, porque é incapacitado para entendê-las. Outra, é quando você se debruça em cima do esforço de ir fundo nos ensinamentos misteriosos de Deus. Entender palavras diretas é fácil. Agora, uma vez que para entender uma leitura como a de hoje é preciso muito mais oração e meditação na comunhão com Deus, sabe qual é a vantagem? É a oportunidade de ter um relacionamento profundo com Jesus.
Invista nesse relacionamento diariamente!
