|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

Você já parou para pensar em quantas leis nós temos em nosso País? De acordo com Pedro Simon, um político brasileiro, o Brasil tem aproximadamente 60 mil leis nacionais. Talvez, você esteja pensando: “Mas pra que existem tantas leis? Será que elas realmente funcionam?” Essas são perguntas que não posso responder. Mas, de uma forma ou de outra, mesmo para quem não é advogado, é comum ouvir falar de leis, decretos, resoluções e mais uma porção de outros nomes que a maioria da população não sabe bem o que significa, mas que qualquer pessoa, talvez, precise usar algum dia. Este é o mundo moderno em que vivemos. E se você está acostumado com ele, na sua atualização de leitura bíblica de hoje, não irá estranhar Números 04-06.
Esse trecho bíblico é o reflexo de uma sociedade exatamente assim: cheia dos seus regulamentos. Aí, encontramos listadas as responsabilidades específicas dos coatitas, gersonitas, meraritas, levitas...; as orientações sobre a manutenção da pureza no acampamento dos israelitas; as recomendações sobre como fazer a restituição de danos e prejuízos e até sobre como testar uma mulher suspeita de adutério (é mole?); as regulamentações do voto de nazireu e até a instrução sobre como proceder a bênção sacerdotal. Portanto, desde o passado, como seres que vivemos em sociedade, sempre fomos cercados de muitas instruções.
Veja um resumo das nossas leis:
- Emendas a Constituição: propostas de mudança no texto da Constituição (alguns itens só podem ser mudados com a aprovação de uma nova Constituição!).
- Leis complementares: apenas para complementar determinados itens da Constituição.
- Leis ordinárias: qualquer lei que não se encaixa nas definições acima.
- Leis delegadas: lei para a edição da qual o Presidente da República tem autorização expressa do Congresso Nacional.
- Medidas Provisórias: quando é necessária a criação de uma norma em caráter urgente. Como o próprio nome já diz, é apenas temporária. Para tornar-se permanente, tal proposta do Poder Executivo é dependente da aprovação do Legislativo.
- Decretos legislativos: Matérias de competência exclusiva do Poder Legislativo.
- Resoluções: normas que têm validade apenas para o órgão que a criou.
- Decreto: ato de natureza administrativa, de competência apenas do Presidente da República.
Resumindo, a humanidade tem mais de 35 milhões de leis para fazer cumprir (e o pior: parcialmente) o Decálogo. São leis imperfeitas apontando para o ideal.
Na época do povo de Israel era diferente. As muitas leis também eram comuns, porém, melhores. Dadas pelo próprio Deus, serviam para orientar o Seu povo e tornar as pessoas mais felizes. As leis de Deus podem ser consideradas como dicas de felicidade.
