|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

DEUS SALVA A TODOS?
Isaías 41-44
Começamos aqui uma seção muito bonita do livro de Isaías. Nela vamos começar a ler sobre o ministério efetuado por Jesus para nos salvar deste mundo de pecado.Os quatro capítulos de hoje falam bastante sobre todo o trabalho redentivo de Deus.
Veja Isaías 42. Ao mesmo tempo em que o Senhor prova Sua grandeza, não se intimida em tornar-se um servo sofredor. Neste capítulo, o lindo Cântico de Louvor Pela Salvação do Povo é seguido de um lamento sobre a cegueira de Israel. Tal texto é um poema que arma o preparo para a reflexão apresentada por Isaías 43: Somente Deus pode ser o resgatador
Só Ele pôde resgatar Israel Antigo. Só Ele pode resgatar o Israel moderno: nós, o Seu povo. É pela misericórdia do Senhor que podemos obter nossa libertação do jugo da Babilônia. E essa promessa de livramento (também no capítulo 44) é condicional ao nosso firme posicionamento de não cairmos na loucura da idolatria e de mantermos Deus como o único Senhor da nossa vida.
Tudo isso pode ser resumido em uma só palavra “salvação”. Salvação? Sim! De ficar condenado a viver apenas uns 80 anos nesse mundo sofrido e pronto. Salvação para viver, eternamente, num mundo sem sofrimento. Salvação? Sim! Para as pessoas. Que pessoas? Vou dar esta resposta contando-lhe uma história.
Certa vez, numa campanha evangelística, o pregador parou a palestra e pediu que cada um dos que estavam naquele auditório desse testemunho o seu testemunho pessoal de fé, conversando com a pessoa que estivesse sentada ao lado. Quase na última fileira, havia um garoto. Ele virou-se para um senhor que estava ao seu lado e perguntou: “Senhor, você reconhece a Jesus como o seu Salvador pessoal?”. Um pouco indignado, o homem olhou para o menino e disse: “Meu filho, eu sou diácono ordenado!”. Então, com toda a inocência do mundo, a criança respondeu, “Mas, senhor, isso não importa. Deus pode salvar qualquer um” (Fonte: Bailey Smith, Real Evangelism).
Que teologia profunda, em um ocorrido tão simples (mas tão importante!) da vida: Deus pode salvar a qualquer pessoa? Poder Ele pode. Mas... será que Ele salva? A resposta a este questionamento está espelhada na leitura de hoje. A salvação é para todos? Como um presente “oferecido”, sim. Agora, como um presente “recebido”, infelizmente, não. Porque muitos rejeitam. Então, Deus salva a todos? Depende. Deus oferece a salvação a todas as pessoas. Todavia, esta oferta não é recebida por todas as pessoas. Que triste, não é mesmo?
Por fim, o que mais interessa é a pergunta: “Deus salva a você?”. Depende. A resposta está na sua atitude. Pense nisso.
