|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

|Lamentações 2:6|
He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

|Lamentações 2:7|
The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

|Lamentações 2:9|
Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

QUANTO VALE SUA LIBERDADE?
Ezequiel 27-29
“Contrata-se pessoa para contração de matrimônio. O candidato que se interessar deverá unir-se em casamento com o anunciante, submetendo-se a todas regras culturais e civis que um enlace conjugal requer: a)O contrato é vitalício e não poderá ser revogado, anulando assim a possibilidade de desistência do contratado durante toda a existência de sua vida. b)Deverá casar em cerimônia religiosa, submetendo-se aos credos do anunciante, e em cerimônia civil, junto ao cartório desta cidade. c)O contratado aceitará, se submeterá e cumprirá todas as regras do contrato, sem considerar quem vem a ser o contratante, aceitando-o, seja quem for, ainda que não o conheça total, parcial ou suficientemente. O contratado será recompensado por remuneração financeira em moeda corrente deste país. A proposta inicial do valor será feita pelo candidato que se interessar e negociada em comum acordo com o contratante”.
Você se candidataria a tal contratação? Quanto custa sua liberdade? A maior parte da nossa leitura de hoje é um lamento por Tiro. Comentaristas cristãos, desde o início, viram nesta descrição do rei de Tiro uma descrição velada de Lúcifer. E aqui, através desta figura (Ezequiel 28:11-19), aprendemos sobre a origem do mal. Se “Deus é eterno (Salmo 45:6 – RC; ver também Salmo 90:2)” e se “pela fé entendemos que o UNIVERSO foi formado pela palavra de Deus (Hebreus 11:2)”, compreendemos que houve um tempo em que existia somente a família celeste em perfeita harmonia e amor.
Havia um poderoso anjo, a quem chamamos de Lúcifer. A ele Deus conferira capacidade e posição muito especiais. O Criador o havia criado como um ser inteligente e não um robô. Mas ele começou a usar mal o seu livre arbítrio. MISTERIOSAMENTE passou a cultivar um narcisismo muito intenso. Queria ser igual a Deus. Por possuir tão alta glória e posição sobre os outros anjos, se achava melhor que eles. Como a Bíblia diz, “se achou iniqüidade em ti…”. “Miguel [Jesus] e os seus anjos pelejaram contra [Lúcifer] o dragão. E foi expulso o grande dragão, Satanás, o sedutor de todo o mundo, atirado para a terra, e, com ele, os seus anjos.” (Apocalipse 12:4, 7-9).
Sabe qual é o preço da sua liberdade? É de acordo com o valor de quem ou do quê você escolhe servir. Assim é o desfecho desta batalha universal. Satanás tentando provar que servir a Deus não é bom. Deus tentando conquistar suas criaturas ao melhor caminho: servi-Lo. A guerra consiste em conquistar a nossa escolha individual. Mas, no trono do viver só pode haver um senhor. A quem você entregará a sua vontade? E é aí que pergunto: “Quanto vale a sua liberdade?”.
