|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

No comentário de ontem, vimos que depois que os israelitas se rebelaram, o Senhor puxou a orelha deles e resolver refazer os compromissos com eles para ver se, dessa vez, aquele povo fazia a parte dele. Na leitura de hoje, lemos sobre as novas tábuas da lei e a renovação da aliança que existia entre Jeová e o povo de Israel, sobre a lei do sábado, o material para o tabernáculo e os artesãos do tabernáculo.
Mas o que mais me chamou a atenção na leitura de hoje foi o trecho de Êxodo 34:29-35 devido a duas coisas importantes. Primeiro, porque esses versos têm tudo a ver com você. Segundo, porque eles podem ser um dos degraus que vão ajudar você a chegar a entender o restante de todo o texto da leitura de hoje.
Você já leu esses capítulos hoje? Vamos continuar firmes no nosso plano de leitura da Bíblia, ok? Você só tem a ganhar se tiver o hábito de ler a Bíblia. Como dizia Isaac Newton, “há mais indícios seguros de autenticidade na Bíblia do que em qualquer história profana.” E se o produto é bom, compensa adquiri-lo e usá-lo, concorda?
Tanto é, que Napoleão Bonaparte comentou sobre quem lê a Bíblia: “Que felicidade a Bíblia proporciona àqueles que acreditam nela! Que maravilhas admiram aqueles que refletem nela!” E isso é sério. Sabia que no dia que você gasta um tempo lendo a Bíblia, seu dia não é mais o mesmo?
Lembro de um professor que tive na faculdade. Ele nos contou que a mulher dele sabia, em qualquer momento do dia, baseada no comportamento dele, se no começo do dia, ele tinha lido a Bíblia ou não, mesmo sem ela ter observado. Dependendo do comportamento, ela dizia: “Meu bem, você não leu a Bíblia hoje.” Ela sempre acertava. E isso não é nenhum mistério.
Quando você se coloca na presença de Deus, naquele tempinho diário especial, em um local separado para fazer sua leitura bíblica e ouvir e meditar Deus falando ao seu coração, você recebe uma bênção especial. O brilho dos seus olhos faz com que as pessoas vejam você com outros olhos. Quem passa pela sala do trono não consegue esconder a glória que carrega em sua face. A intensidade depende da qualidade e quantidade do tempo que você investir.
Moisés fez isso de forma bem intensa. E o resultado, vemos na leitura de hoje. Ele foi um dos homens mais entendidos da história. Isso também é uma lição para nós sobre o que devemos fazer para conseguir entender a Bíblia. Podemos alcançar isso, pedindo entendimento a Deus, em oração.
