|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

Levítico 08-10
Estou muito feliz porque estamos estudando o terceiro livro da Bíblia. Antes de ontem, já comentei sobre alguns assuntos introdutórios desse livro, mas quero comentar um pouco mais sobre uma visão geral que podemos ter do mesmo.
Desde o dia 1º de janeiro, estamos acompanhando a história, em sequência lógica, sobre como tudo começou. Porém, quando chegamos em Levítico, a impressão que temos é que a leitura fica bem diferente. Embora continue falando de Moisés e do povo de Israel, a história deixa de ser uma narrativa como aquela com que já estávamos acostumados a ler.
O livro de Gênesis descreve o caminho descendente que a humanidade seguiu a partir do jardim do Éden. Se colocar em um gráfico, você verá que a humanidade seguiu um caminho que foi caindo, degradando-se e rebaixando-se. E o livro de Gênesis descreve isso muito bem. Êxodo, entretanto, mostra Deus tentando mudar a direção do desenho desse gráfico. Esse livro mostra a Deus redimindo os escolhidos dEle da escravidão e conduzindo-lhes, pelo fogo e pela nuvem, em direção à Terra que estava prometida.
Em Levítico – o livro que estamos lendo – Deus ensina outras lições para o povo de Israel. Para que os Seus filhos tivessem acesso a Ele, precisavam do sangue que o sacerdote, escolhido pelo Senhor, ministrasse. Podemos ver que através de todos esses ensinos, o objetivo do livro é exatamente ensinar sobre a santidade. Então, quando lemos sobre os diferentes tipos de ofertas, as festas, o sacerdócio e sobre a contaminação, precisamos pensar que aquilo era algo que acontecia entre o povo de Israel, mas que também tem uma aplicação futura. Ou seja, cada uma daquelas coisas joga muita luz para o significado sobre como Deus lida com o ser humano para salvá-lo em todos os tempos, inclusive, na nossa época.
Atualmente, Jesus é o nosso Sumo Sacerdote, que intercede por nós no santuário celestial. E seria impossível entender isso direito, se não existisse, também, o livro Levítico. Se não fosse pelo seu relato, teríamos pouquíssima idéia do que vem a ser o ministério do nosso atual Sumo Sacerdote, o que é o julgamento de Deus, representado pelo Dia da Expiação e, também, o que vem a ser o santuário celestial.
Portanto, se você quiser entender melhor o Novo Testamento (principalmente o livro de Hebreus), a teologia da salvação, o evangelho e o próprio Jesus, aprenda o conteúdo do livro Levítico. Essa é a cartilha básica para ampliar seus conhecimentos sobre os assuntos mencionados.
Da leitura de hoje, destaco o versículo: “Vocês têm que fazer separação entre o santo e o profano, entre o puro e o impuro.”
