“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

CONSTRUÇÃO DA ALVORADA

Quando eu morava em Brasília, de vez em quando, tinha que ir ao Palácio da Alvorada. Então, sempre que recebia um visitante, parente ou amigo que viesse de longe, eu servia de guia turístico. Ao fazer a visita, a pessoa queria conhecer a casa do presidente. Você já foi lá? Se não, imagino que já tenha visto o Palácio da Alvorada, pelo menos, pela televisão.
Você sabe que o Palácio da Alvorada, que é a residência do presidente da República, foi inaugurado em 29 de junho de 1958? Portanto, se acha que está morando numa casa velha, pergunto: sua casa tem mais de meio século de construída? A casa dele tem mais de cinquenta anos!
Quanto ao seu tamanho, a área do Palácio da Alvorada ocupa dez mil metros quadrados. Já pensou? Só de área construída são sete mil e trezentos metros. É uma casa comprida. Tem cento e dez metros de comprimento por apenas trinta de largura, e o pé direito do mezanino mede nove metros.
Seu jardim é muito interessante. Há um caminho tortuoso, criado por um paisagista japonês, que percorre seis quilômetros sem repetir o percurso.
Mas a essa altura, você deve estar questionando: “E daí?” Essa é justamente a pergunta que me leva à preocupação quando penso em outra construção de patrimônio nacional, mas que é muito mais importante, porém é esquecida. O Palácio da Alvorada, pelo menos, é mostrado na TV de vez em quando. Essa construção praticamente não é comentada por nenhuma mídia. É por isso que resolvi falar da sua importância nesta mídia. E não venha me dizer “e daí?” para ela, ok? Mas sei que você não faria isso porque gosta de ler o comentário do “Por Dentro da Bíblia” por tratar justamente da Palavra de Deus. Aliás, a construção da qual estou falando está na leitura de hoje.
Gostaria de lhe dar uma dica. Você permite? Faça sua leitura de hoje usando a “Bíblia Nova Tradução na Linguagem de Hoje” ou “Nova Versão Internacional”. No capítulo cinco, você verá os preparativos de Davi e Salomão para que o templo do Senhor fosse construído. Em 1Reis 6, encontrará a real descrição da construção do Templo. Como é algo bem detalhado, lhe incentivo a ler o texto bíblico em uma versão moderna. Tente imaginar, rabiscar, desenhar e, se possível, até pintar essa construção. Por estar envolvido com essa planta, na realidade, ao fazer a leitura, você estará plantando a fé e a solidez espiritual dentro do seu coração, além de continuar a construção do seu relacionamento com Deus. Meu desejo é que essa construção faça nascer-lhe uma nova alvorada!
