|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

|Lamentações 2:6|
He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

|Lamentações 2:7|
The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

|Lamentações 2:9|
Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

PRINCÍPIOS E ORDEM
Números 25-27
Você tem lido a Bíblia direitinho? Tem estudado cada parte dela ou apenas tem feito uma leitura superficial? Tome cuidado porque o leitor da Bíblia que a lê superficialmente torna-se, automaticamente, um cristão superficial.
E não há como aprofundar-se nos conhecimentos bíblicos, principalmente na parte histórica, se ignorarmos as longas listas existentes na Bíblia. As genealogias, por exemplo, são importantes porque nelas conseguimos dados mais palpáveis para a solidificação de um conhecimento histórico, que esteja apto a responder as perguntas básicas: “Quem? Como? Onde? Quando? Por quê?”
Nessas listas, ficamos conhecendo mais de perto as pessoas e as datas. Quando você está fazendo suas anotações, muitas vezes, se quer saber mais detalhes, é preciso dar uma parada na pesquisa e consultar as listas para checar algum nome, relação, parentesco, etc. Por falar em parentesco, na leitura de hoje vemos o próprio Deus dando uma parada para checar a lista, já que a história do povo de Israel estava bagunçada.
O povo deixara de agir por princípios para agir pela lógica humana. Naquela época, a lógica era:
“A divindade está no Céu, nós estamos na Terra; a divindade manda a chuva, nós precisamos da chuva; isso é relacionamento, como um casamento; no casamento, existe o sexo, e o sexo é uma bênção; nos aproximamos da divindade através do culto, isso é relacionamento, como no casamento; logo, a maior expressão disso tudo seria praticar sexo no culto sagrado. E não será adultério, porque não é com a mulher do próximo, é com as sacerdotisas, prostitutas cultuais; e não é maldade, porque não estará matando ninguém, nem roubando, nem esfaqueando, nem brigando; é uma união em nome da paz, do amor, da religião, do bem estar de todos, e com muito prazer, é claro! Então, porque não fazer?”
Essa foi a lógica satânica que se passou na cabeça dos israelitas quando foram acampar em Sitim e se depararam com o estilo de adoração dos moabitas, que praticavam imoralidade sexual na hora dos sacrifícios para os seus deuses. Por princípio, os israelitas sabiam da importância da pureza sexual, que reserva as atividades sexuais somente para dentro do casamento. Mas pela lógica, eles tinham todos os argumentos possíveis para alimentar o prazer.
A consequência disso? Tiago 1:15 responde na teoria: “Então esse desejo, tendo concebido, dá à luz o pecado, e o pecado, após ter se consumado, gera a morte.” Na prática, a consequência disso é respondida na nossa leitura, mostrando que a bagunça geral foi a morte. Por isso existe a reorganização da lista em Números 26 e a readaptação à nova vida em Números 27.
