|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

|Lamentações 2:2|
Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

Ezequiel 14-17
Tente identificar quem é esta pessoa. Sua origem e nascimento aconteceram um lugar inóspito e sem amor. Seu nascimento foi assim: no dia em que ela nasceu, seu cordão umbilical não foi cortado, ela não foi lavada com água, para que ficasse limpa, não foi higienizada, nem enrolada em panos. Ninguém olhou para ela com piedade nem teve suficiente compaixão para fazer qualquer uma destas coisas por ela. Ao contrário, ela foi jogada fora, em campo aberto, pois, no dia em que nasceu, foi desprezada.
Então, passando um príncipe por perto, ele a viu esperneando em seu sangue e, enquanto ela jazia ali em sangue, ele lhe disse: Viva! E aquele príncipe a fez crescer como uma flor. Ela cresceu, desenvolveu-se e tornou-se a mais linda das jóias. Seus seios formaram-se e seu cabelo cresceu, mas ela ainda estava totalmente nua.
Mais tarde, quando o príncipe passou de novo por perto, ele olhou-a e viu que ela já tinha idade suficiente para amar; então o príncipe estendeu a sua capa sobre ela e cobriu sua nudez. Ele fez juramento e estabeleceu uma aliança com ela - palavra de senhor soberano - e ela se tornou dele.
Ele tinha lhe dado banho com água e, ao lavá-la, limpou seu sangue e a perfumou. O príncipe colocou nela um vestido bordado e lindas sandálias de peles de animais marinhos. Vestiu-a de linho fino e a cobriu de roupas caras. Adornou-a com jóias; pôs braceletes em seus braços e uma gargantilha em torno de seu pescoço; deu-lhe um pendente, pôs brincos em suas orelhas e uma linda coroa em sua cabeça. E assim, ela foi adornada com outro e prata; suas roupas eram de linho fino, tecido caro e pano bordado. Sua comida era sempre do bom e do melhor. Ela se tornou muito linda, uma rainha. Sua fama espalhou-se entre as nações por sua beleza, porque o esplendor que o príncipe lhe deu tornou perfeita a sua formosura. Coisa de gente grande. Nobreza!
Mas, ela se aproveitou da sua beleza e usou a sua fama para dormir com qualquer um que passava, concedendo-lhes os seus favores sexuais. Usou seus vestidos para forrar o chão na própria plataforma da igreja, onde, ali, entregava-se a qualquer um, como prostituta. Ela apanhou as jóias finas que o príncipe tinha lhe dado e usou todas em orgias, gastou todo o mantimento de comida com os amantes e, para ficar livre, matou os seus próprios filhos que eram também do príncipe.
Sabe quem é? É o símbolo bíblico das pessoas que são de Deus, mas vivem em pecado. Pode ser você e eu, diante dEle.
