“People have heard my groaning, but there is no-one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my distress; they rejoice at what you have done. May you bring the day you have announced so that they may become like me.

|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

|Lamentações 2:3|
In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

|Lamentações 2:5|
The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

|Lamentações 2:6|
He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

QUER TER SUCESSO? OUÇA

Vamos continuar com o nosso plano anual de leitura diária da Bíblia? A história segue tratando dos mesmos personagens, o povo de Israel, mas mudamos de livro. Para mim, é um prazer muito grande fazer mais um comentário desses relatos sagrados.
Ontem, vimos sobre o fim do reinado de Davi, suas últimas palavras, um dos seus últimos atos – a construção de um altar de adoração ao Senhor e sobre o lindo cântico que ele escreveu, refletindo no quando Deus o havia abençoado. Hoje, no primeiro livro chamado Reis, a história começa com o ato tolo de Adonias. Ele era alguém que “deu murro em ponta de faca” por querer agir de forma diferente daquilo que Deus disse. Sabe, se não temos um claro mandado de Deus quanto a fazer alguma coisa, às vezes não compensa querermos nos meter a fazer aquilo que Ele não nos chamou para fazer. Muitas vezes, é melhor esperar Deus chamar e fazer somente o que Ele pediu e ter fé suficiente para descansar o resto nas mãos dEle porque Ele sabe o que é melhor. Forçar a barra não compensa. Veja o que aconteceu com Adonias. Quando alguém começa fazendo o que Deus não pediu para fazer, com a desculpa de que está fazendo algo para Deus, a teoria pode até ser bonita, mas no fim da história pode terminar acontecendo aquilo que Albert Einstein disse em um dos seus pensamentos: “A teoria sempre acaba, mais cedo ou mais tarde, assassinada pala experiência.”
Mas, continuando a história, logo após um tolo vem um sábio. Imagino que Salomão ficou lembrando dessas histórias que ele viu no começo da sua vida para escrever o livro de Provérbios. No início do seu reinado, vemos a participação ativa do rei Davi, dando as instruções básicas sobre como o jovem deveria proceder. Mais tarde, o sábio também iria abordar sobre a importância de dar ouvidos aos conselhos dos pais. Por que será, né? Certamente é porque ele deu ouvidos aos conselhos do seu pai. A Bíblia diz que “Salomão assentou-se no trono de Davi, seu pai, e o seu reinado foi firmemente estabelecido.” Encontramos esse verso logo após as instruções que Davi deu para Salomão. No final do capítulo, nos deparamos com uma declaração semelhante: “Assim o reino ficou bem estabelecido nas mãos de Salomão.”
Com o exemplo do sábio, percebemos que se quisermos fazer algo e ter sucesso, devemos ouvir os conselhos de Deus e dos pais tementes a Ele. Dessa forma, seremos BEM mais felizes, afinal, na multidão de conselhos encontramos sabedoria.
Vale a pena ouvir aqueles que são mais experientes. Seja humilde!
