“People have heard my groaning, but there is no-one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my distress; they rejoice at what you have done. May you bring the day you have announced so that they may become like me.

|Lamentações 2:1|
“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.” [This chapter is an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.] How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! [Or How the LORD in his anger has treated the Daughter of Zion with contempt!] He has hurled down the splendour of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonour.

In fierce anger he has cut off every horn [Or all the strength; or every king; horn here symbolises strength.] of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

ESQUEMA DO “PLANTA-COLHE”
Deuteronômio 01-03
Você já ouviu o ditado: “Quem planta, colhe?” Nem sempre, mas, muitas vezes, ele é verdadeiro. Quem planta, colhe... Colhe o quê? Aí é onde podemos criar outro ditado mais ou menos assim: se colhe o que se planta. Já pensou se você pegasse sementes de jabuticaba e as plantasse, mas não tivesse a garantia de que nasceria jabuticaba? Poderia, talvez, nascer melancia, maracujá, erva cidreira... Já pensou nisso?
O indivíduo plantaria uma roça inteira e não saberia se daria certo ou não. O mundo seria uma confusão tão grande, que seria um caos. Mas a verdade é que quem planta arroz, colhe arroz; quem planta milho, colhe milho; se plantar mandioca, colherá mandioca, se plantar beterraba, colherá beterraba; se plantar macarrão, colherá macarrão.... Opa! Pera aí! Aí não, né? Plantar macarrão, colherá macarrão? É aí onde não se aplica o ditado “quem planta, colhe”, porque nem tudo que se plantar pode nascer.
Esse esquema de plantar e colher pode muito bem ser visto na leitura bíblica de hoje. Nesses três capítulos que devemos ler, vemos “colheitadas” vindas de “plantadas”. Mas não se trata de vegetais. É o plantar e colher de ações humanas.
Em Deuteronômio 1, o povo estava indo em direção à Terra que Deus tinha prometido a eles. Receber a posse dessa terra era a bênção decorrente de eles terem seguido as orientações de Deus. Mas, infelizmente, ainda no mesmo capítulo, vemos o povo esquecendo da colheita que eles tinham pela frente e fizeram uma rebelião. Que papelão! Então, a partir do verso 34, tem aí o castigo que os israelitas começam a receber. Não é que Deus é um pai carrasco, que fica com a varinha na mão, esperando Seus filhos errarem para, então, Ele castigar. Não! Mas Deus lida com as consequências. Ele deixa que as consequências aconteçam para percebermos o esquema do “planta-colhe”.
Dê uma olhada em Deuteronômio 2. Desse capítulo, e estudando toda a história da jornada dos israelitas no deserto, aprendemos que a distância entre o Egito e Canaã não era tão longe. Eles gastariam apenas algumas semanas de viagem. Mas devido à teimosia deles, ficaram vagueando no deserto por 40 anos. É o esquema do “planta-colhe”.
Todavia, Deus é tão misericordioso que, muitas vezes, Ele entra na história e fura esse esquema. Ainda no capítulo 2 e início do 3, o Senhor deixa que o povo saia como vencedor. Logo adiante, vemos que a misericórdia de Deus não é injusta. Ele não tem esquemas para favorecer ninguém injustamente. Moisés também não escapou do esquema do “planta-colhe”.
