DIA GRANDE
João 19-21
Acesse sua Bíblia em João 19:31. Neste versículo há uma dúvida muito freqüente, comum entre os leitores do livro de João. Eis o questionamento: “O que quer dizer a expressão ‘e era grande aquele sábado’, mencionada em João 19:31?”.
Teologicamente, a resposta é simples. Jesus morreu numa sexta feira, e no dia seguinte seria sábado. E eles disseram que aquele sábado seria grande. Como assim? Na realidade esta expressão não se refere ao tamanho cronométrico do dia. Aquele dia, como todos os outros, continuaria com vinte e quatro horas de duração. Naquele ano (31 d.C.) em que aconteceu esse ocorrido de João 19:31, nesse dia, ao qual essa passagem se refere, coincidiram o sábado semanal com o sábado da festa dos pães asmos. Quando um sábado cerimonial coincidia com um sábado semanal, que “era grande aquele dia de sábado”. Isso nós aprendemos a partir do conhecimento da cultura judaica, somado a um estudo atentivo de Levítico 23 e dos ensinamentos bíblicos sobre as festas (sábados) cerimoniais. Portanto, essa expressão “e era grande aquele dia de sábado” é a tradução, para o português de uma expressão idiomática hebraica que queria dizer que aquele dia tinha um significado sabático religioso duplo, pois nele estavam coincidindo duas observâncias.
Mas, pensando nas necessidades mais práticas, “e daí?”, perguntaríamos. O que isto tem a ver conosco, sobreviventes da pós-modernidade, no século XXI?

Sites dos mais variados lugares do mundo, de alguma forma envolvidos com o Dia Mundial da Alegria. Você sabe o que é o Dia Mundial da Alegria? O Dia Mundial da Alegria tem sido relevante para a sua vida?
O Dia Mundial da Alegria é comemorado desde 07/07/2007. Anualmente durante um sábado por ano a Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia para suas atividades para celebrar de forma especial uma grande benção deixada por Deus: o próprio Sábado. Através de campanha comunicativa para toda a população, estes cristãos têm como objetivos: a) Mostrar para todos que o sábado é um dia especial santificado por DEUS (Exôdo 20:8); b)Demonstrar que guardá-lo não é um fardo para os adventistas, mas sim um dia de alegria e de ajudar o próximo.
É o que Jesus fazia. E foi o que Ele fez naquele “grande sábado”, há cerca de 2000 anos. É por isso que os projetos “Mutirão de Inverno (campanha beneficente)” e “Vida Por Vidas (doação de sangue)” acompanham as comemorações anuais “Dia Mundial da Alegria”.
