O DESEJADO DE TODAS AS NAÇÕES

Do Mundo Antigo, as sete maravilhas são uma famosa lista de majestosas obras artísticas e arquitetônicas erguidas durante a Antiguidade Clássica. Já ouviu falar dos Jardins Suspensos de Babilônia, ou da estátua de Zeus em Olímpia? Com certeza. Mas você já viajou até lá e conheceu estas maravilhas? Claro que não, pois não existem mais.
As obras que humanas podem até impressionar, mas não são eternas. Por isso, é muito válido pensar nas maravilhas da Natureza, pois foram criadas por Deus. Elas resistem mais ao tempo e, talvez, à própria eternidade. Na atual lista das sete maravilhas do mundo está o Cristo Redentor. Obra brasileira, patrimônio histórico, símbolo cultural de hospitalidade e abertura. Beleza! Isto deixa os brasileiros felizes, não é mesmo? Mas, numa pesquisa de opinião sobre quais seriam as maravilhas da Natureza, os pitacos foram as cataratas de Foz do Iguaçu, a mulher e o ser humano.
Opiniões interessantes. No relato da Criação, você pode ver Deus, mui criteriosamente, montando um cenário para, no final do trabalho, receber (ou, colocar no palco) um protagonista que, para Ele, era muito importante. Imagine! O Criador chega, acende as luzes, dá uma desbastada no ambiente físico, prepara o piso, coloca um visual bonito no teto, preenche todo o ambiente com belezas vegetais e animais, organiza o alimento e a moradia e, por fim... tchan, tchan, tchan, tchan! No centro de tudo: o ser humano. Numa ordem crescente, primeiro os elementos vivos mais simples, depois os mais complexos, tendo como seu máximo, a humanidade. No mundo natural, todos os elementos existem em função da existência e da sobrevivência do ser humano. Não é fantástico?
Mas você pensa que estou aqui para dizer que a maior maravilha que Deus já colocou neste mundo foi cada um de nós? Surpreendentemente, não. Parcialmente, sim. Dentre todos os humanos, quem foi o mais maravilhoso? Se você está pensando no texto de Isaías 9:6-7, é isso mesmo. É claro que Jesus não é criatura, porque Ele é o próprio Deus Criador. Mas, através da encarnação, quando Ele assumiu sobre Si a natureza humana, por colocar-se entre os elementos criados, passou a ser “O Desejado de Todas as Nações” (Ageu 2:7).
Por isso, penso que a escolha das atuais maravilhas do mundo é divinamente guiada, quando coloca o Cristo Redentor como uma das maravilhas do mundo. Cristo é “A” maravilha universal. A maior maravilha feita por Deus, para a humanidade, é o plano redentor para salvar-nos deste mundo tão destruído pelo pecado. E, como só nos é possível enxergar este projeto através da pessoa de Jesus, precisamos ler Sua palavra, a Bíblia.
